Wish I had a picture of the snake we came across in Puerta Vallarta on our first trip to Mexico. We were coming back from the Hard Rock one night and the hotel bus stops in the road. The drive and a couple of other men get out to help move a snake off the road. It looked like a freakin' speed bump. The road was a boulevard and had two lanes on our side. The snake was over our entire side. It had to be about 6" in diameter. They said it was a friendly snake and ate rodants and such. Then I'm thinking, how big are the freakin' rodants down here?

It was nasty.

I'll try to organize some more pictures of the grounds as well as some miscellaneous shots from around the pool and of us. But after seeing some of the pics, I think I'd be dead if I post them here.

Whatcha going to see? I want to see "Taken". Not sure what else is out right now. Are you going to the early showing or the late?

I probably won't be on until at least 8:00 our time tonight. If you go early, I'll still be around when you get home. If you go late, I should be able to be there before you leave.

They had enough other bars to get drinks at (pool, lobby, stage, sports bar, disco). Plus, I think in the evening I only had one with or before dinner and one after before bed. We're not like those who have 2-3 an hour. I'd be lucky if I had 5-6 in the 12 hours from when the bars opened until we went to bed and that would be a lot. I did a lot of diet soda or water.

Can we still be friends?

Yes Walt was wound up yesterday. I guess he is too excited. He has three more weeks left of work then off on his bike, playing golf, playing with his trains and hanging out with me. Boy he sure will have fun. Diane

I'm so happy for y'all, Di and Walt! Wish we lived closer; we could have a retirement party for Walt!

How about some wildlife pictures from around the resort? Here are some of the birds we saw. Gotta love the 12x zoom on the camera - these were not that close to us.

Enough with the birds. We miss y'all. Show us some pics of you and AFEG and Suz and Hazel. And of course we'd love to see that handsome boy of yours! I'm officially putting in a request for some "red-belly" pics of you and AFEG!

Kathy--I was just reading your trip report. I wondered what the Shrine looked like. Thanks for posting those pics. I think we had the same priest as you did when we went to mass on Christmas Day, but we were in one of the Contemporary ballrooms.
