Hi all.

Very yucky day at work. Computers went down in the am. What a long day, did get some payroll spread sheets done that were on my c drive. but other than that not much. They are moving out server to the corporate office in Dallas, I am guessing by next year all our jobs will follow. Since the whole IT dept was in Destin today when I called support I got a guy in India, I guess he wasn't used to computer stupid american, he wa not very patient with me.

I hope that doesn't mean you have to move to Dallas????

Just had my hair coloured - thank god my old hairdresser is back from maternity leave - I hated going elsewhere

Got myself a little job today too! - just lunchtime cover at school, but I'm there most days anyway so this way I get paid for some of it!

Good morning everyone. I just returned from a great workout at the gym. My routine is some time on the treadmill followed by weight training. I feel great, although my arms are a little jittery.

A very balmy 41* here at the moment, our predicted high for today is 52* then the bottom drops out again starting tomorrow. Mother Nature up to her old tricks again!!!

We are talking to India agin trying to get up and running.

Since everything was down I took the girls out for breakfast- diet what diet. We went to IHOP.

Decent weather here too, but it will get cold this weekend. At least there is no snow forecasted for a while. I got the one car washed yesterday and will be getting the other one done when I leave work.

Right now Delta has the cheapest flights from the 3 or 4 airports that are close to us. Southwest will release their dates sometime this summer and they don't charge the extra fees, but Delta does. The thing that worries me is that Southwest has not been cheap on flights to Florida from NE airports. If anything it has been as much as the legacy airlines.

Amen to that! Southwest has been offering prices for one-way for the same price that I am seeing round trip elsewhere! That and the fact that I can't book until a few months before the trip made me discount them right off the bat! I don't want to wait until the last minute to find that they have not dropped their prices or worse the other airlines have raised theirs! Delta had good prices from CA but I believe that we went with Continental who had the best prices.

I am doing my vacation request right now for the cruise and some other dates we have planned. It will be approved, but it is just the formality of it.

Same here. We just went Union a few years ago and now have to bid for vacations. Luckily, I have the Seniority to trump most everyone else.

Steve - we bought a really compact one from Walgreens for about $20. All the main shops like Wlamart etc do them for a similar price and they are already assembled and ready to go. We just threw it away at the end of the holiday.

I thought about that, but here was my thinking, Laura has a tendancy for overpacking a peice of luggage. On almost every vacation we have ever been on, I have had to open luggage and re-arrange the cases in front of the airport because one or two peices had exceeded the 50lb limit. This has become such a sticking point with me that Laura bought me a suitcase scale for Chistmas this year (with two big vacations, it made sense) I may pack away a cheap collapseable duffle if I see that Laura is really loading up the three peices that we've already agreed upon.
