Good morning everyone...
We have made reservations for just the Radission for the 23rd. I have to make sure we don't get transferred this summer, so I won't book airfare until June at the earliest. I don't want to make ressies out of Hartford, if we get transferred to Ohio! Once I book flights, I will get the car as well.

How often do you get transferred?

We will probably also book our MNSSHP hotel ressies soon as the CM at Central Reservations told me that they fill up quick, especially on Halloween Night.

We will all be jumping on that. Cass' page says that should be in early May.

We have booked the Radisson for the 23rd, have booked nights at SSR for before and after but plan to change those to something else at the 7 month mark, don't need a car, and haven't done flights because we're waiting for Jet Blue to open up for Oct. so maybe we can get a direct flight out of Portland. After that I'll book Magical Express.



Could it be youplanned for the water heater to break down?!!!!!

So who, besides Karen who is probably 1/2 packed already , has made all their ressies already? Hotel, Car Rental, Flights, etc.

We're going to work on the car rental this week and probably book CBR for the night after the cruise. We're still up in the air about Thursday night's accomodations because we are waiting to see when our flight comes in before deciding to do mnsshp that night.

We also don't know for sure who among us is actually cruising. We have to make plans for 2, 4, and 6 people. I think Kristin and Jesse will decide at the last minute if they are coming or not.

I have a hotel booked by the airport for the 23rd - I couldn't beat $67/night. I have to wait for our party to book flights before I can do anything else.

According to my wife better know as Nancy it will be April 1st or as she says 7 months back from your checkout date.

PSE&G(gas company) is here now fixing the hot water heater!!! Just one small part needs to be replaced........


Not bad, only $90.00 for the repair bill, I was expecting much more.

I think when we call at the 7 month mark we will be staying at OKW and when we return from the cruise we will be staying at AKL as like some of you are

No packing done although some things are put away waiting to be packed.

We have everything else booked. Just need to pay the final bill for the cruise (hopefully the £/$ will get better before we have to pay), make decisions on tours and then finally pack nearer the time.

Wound up taking a Personal Day from work today. I went to shave and shower to get ready for work and found we didn't have any hot water. Went and tried lighting the pilot on the gas hot water heater about five times and the pilot light would not stay lit. Had to re-light the pilot yesterday and thought everything was fine, I guess it wasn't. Just called our local gas company and they are sending a repairman out to take a look at it. We had a new hot water installed less than two years ago.

The lady at the gas company said a repairman will be here between 8:00am(now) and 4:30pm.......

Is it fixed yet Andy?

I havent done car rental yet. I need a one day hire the day we get off to take us back to the airport, so if anyone finds a cheap one day hire let me know

What about the Magical Express back to the airport? Or do you want to check in at DDD and spend the day in Orlando?

What about if someone else is going back to the airport on the same day, you could share the cost of a bigger van?

Good morning everyone...

I am sitting at work doing a few things, but have streaming video going on the computer of the news coverage. I am going to watch the inauguration with one of the elderly men from the church who hasn't been able to get out for a bit and is very lonely. Over the summer we both talked politics a lot and I gave him my copy of The Audacity of Hope to read. I will head over to his house in about a half hour.

Missed the swearing bit, but caught the President's speech. Very moving and lots of strong words. Lots of promises, lets hope that things start to turn around for everyone.

Just heard that Senator Ted Kennedy collapsed during the inaugural luncheon at 2:35 this afternoon.

Also Senator Robert Byrd from West Virginia also had a medical emergency during the luncheon.

we have the radisson booked. will be staying at AKV the night after the cruise..

tried to check on flights from akron. we're ok on the way down. but nothing yet for the return trip. we'll wait it out. may have to fly out of Cleveland.

we're thinking of sneaking down to FL in late feb or march to see my mom and dad. (and maybe mickey for a day or 2)we'll see if robin can get off work then.

glad you got it fixed. i watched my dad fix theirs last year. seemed easy. i hope i never have to do it myself though. i'm afraid i might blow up the place.
