Good morning all!

Just checking in on a COLD Monday morning here in WI....brrrr!!!!

How many more days until spring?

Our weekend was pretty laid-back...went to some friends' on Saturday and ran a few errands on Sunday, went to the library, etc.

Here too, for us whimps in sunny florida it's 32 degrees!! had to dump hot water on the car window.

Well, the wait is over - he's kept his job

He got a call this morning - asking him to do overtime - his shift was meant to start at 2pm today - he's just gone now 3 1/2 hours overtime. I dont get it ... but I'm not complaining

That's wonderful- it is hard right now so much downsizing and too many people being laid off.

Paige,Rumour has it Big Red is prepared to keep him as her play thing as long as he brings his side arm and dress hat with him after his Retirement.....

That's very good news! Must be a big relief for your family.

I miss the sales at TDS! I wish ours hadn't closed. We have to head to Allentown to shop at one now.

Our closest store closed too. I don't think there's one in the state now. I didn't buy much there but it was always fun to go in and browse.

We are not much into dressing up, do have pirate T shirts thoiugh.

I think we'll have T-shirts too. But they won't be Disney pirate shirts.

Now if it hits 32 we'll think we're having a heat wave! Right now it's only 11! Last night when we were driving home from hockey, the car thermometer was going back & forth between 6 & 8 degrees. More snow in the forecast for this week. The difference is that we're prepared for the cold & you aren't so good luck keeping warm!

7126 steps so far - my pedometer fell off at school today (I help out on a Monday afternoon).. one of the other moms picked it up and read my total... "Been a little lazy today havent we!" she said ... lazy ... I hated to tell her thats a good day with an extra walk fitted in

I should meet my 7500 total easily today

I'm going for 8000 tomorrow, although tomorrow is ironing day so I stand still for 2 hours or more

Thank you all for the messages re Neils job. It certainly is a relief. And of course it means you're stuck with us on the cruise too

Neils heard who has been made redundant and it was wither those who were no good anyway and always in trouble, or those close to retirement so far.

We are surely thankful today

I presume its the same over there as it is here, almost every day on the news there are more businesses closing

Our interest rate has been cut to the lowest ever, but the banks probably wont pass on the latest cut to us via the mortgage deals, but hopefully when we renew the mortgage in June we'l be on a better rate than our current rate.

7126 steps so far - my pedometer fell off at school today (I help out on a Monday afternoon).. one of the other moms picked it up and read my total... "Been a little lazy today havent we!" she said ... lazy ... I hated to tell her thats a good day with an extra walk fitted in

I should meet my 7500 total easily today

I'm going for 8000 tomorrow, although tomorrow is ironing day so I stand still for 2 hours or more

just work in some squats and stretches! thats what I used to do when i worked at a sign shop and stood for 8 hrs..lol.. people used to laugh at me as I swayed from side to side..lol

Dont do too much to start with. Start easier then build up - add a minute every other night etc. Thats why I cant do elipitical - it sends my heart rate through the roof and yet I can walk on a big incline on the treadmill for ages - wierd!
