AHHHHHH My disney fix for the day. Thanks!!!

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes and wonderful advice :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Kira's face is still a little swollen but not too bad. Most of her welts are gone and I am giving her some Benylyn as ordered by the ER doc.

She never seemed to be in pain at all, I asked if she had any owies and she shook her head no. She was obviously bothered by her ears (rubbing them) and the lip situation seemed uncomfortable but she was always in good spirits.

Her and Rob were shopping at Costco and she had the muffin in the tray in her stroller, which is cleaned often but I guess you never know what could possibly have gotten on there. Rob said she was eating it at check out and seemed fine. He paid for the stuff and it wasn't until he went to put her in the car seat that he noticed the swelling.

The doctor said it would have had to be something she ate and the muffin was the last thing she ate. She's had muffins from there many many times before, this particular one many times before but not for a couple of months.

So, unfortunately, it could be a lot of things.

I am going to see her family doctor and talk about allergy testing and other stuff as I am very new to all this. I have allergies but they are all environmental and the only thing I have to put up with is the fact that I always need a pocket full of kleenex wherever I go.

Here's some pics I took at the hospital from my camera phone...

This is just before her eye started to swell up..

Bernie's husband Sean had the best caption for the first pic...

"Yo, Adrienne, how you doin'? Yeah, yeah I wuz ova at da boxing club...you know, workin' out 'n' stuff. Der was dis big guy there, ya know.. but uh I rang his bell and all.. heheh, if ya know wut I'm sayin'..."

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

refund- what's a refund?

It's that thing that the IRS directly deposits into our checking account once a year. Not to worry, it's not all that much, but I'd rather get a little back than have to pay in.........:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday Thomas!!! :cake: party: :bday:

Oh Cass, poor Kira, I hope the rest of the swelling goes down fast.

Kathy--I heard on the news this morning there was a small earthquake in North Jersey last night around 10:30, did you feel anything? I think it was near Morristown, in Morris County.

Good morning everyone. I was up at 5:30 (which is very rare for me) and out the door at 6. One of my friends invited me to his Chamber of Commerce Breakfast where Brian Cashman (GM of the NY Yankees) was the special guest speaker. I then drove directly from the breakfast to the gym where I moved to free weights today. Man am I going to be sore!

Samantha is home from school today sick. She got the head cold I had over the weekend, and Jay is coming home early due to the snow. I guess it is another day of working at home.

Sorry to hear that about Kira. However, it is always good to find out these things so you know what to avoid. When Sam was about 2, we found out she was allergic to pennicillin. She swelled up, eyes shut the whole nine yards. We had a young college student working for us at the time that called her Sloth because she looked like the character from Goonies for a day or so.

Well, it's not a vacation pic, but....

I thought I'd share the "practice cake" I made....it's for the family party this weekend.

Let's see who can guess what it is....

Happy Birthday Thomas and it is the Millenium Falcon. My sister bought the big toy of it for me for Christmas this year. It is a joke in my family that that is the one thing as child I always wanted and never got, so this year my sister bought it for me and Jay. The good thing is, it is so big that Jay can't lift it, so he has to ask me to get it out for him. It resides on my work bench in the basement.

Man, just as it's time to go back to work after lunch, the sn*w starts getting heavier. Oh well, such is life............:joker:

Funny you should mention the big Millenium Falcon toy....Thomas is getting it tonight for his b-day! I really wanted to get it for him for Christmas, but couldn't quite justify the price tag (especially since we were going to Disneyland). Last week I was at Wal-mart, and they had it on clearance for $64! That was almost $100 off....I couldn't resist!!!!

Poor Kira - how scary! here's pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: hoping she gets better soon and you can get to the bottom of it.

Also, I know it's winter, but did you look for any bug bites on her? Long shot, but thought I'd mention that also as DH is allergic to wasp stings.

My sister told me it she got it on walmart.com with significant savings. She didn't tell me of course. She decided to get it at the last minute.

It is a really neat toy. It is very detailed and has a lot of interesting gadgets.

Is it sticking down there Andy? It isn't here yet, but I expect it will when the sun goes down in a few hours.

I'm off. I'm having a surgical procedure today and would love to come back to see some great vacation pics. :cheer2:

Later people....

Good Luck MG. Hope everything goes OK.pixiedust: for you.
