Just to let those of you who know me that I WILL be coming with you all in October. Kathy, my sister(NJPrincess), and I will be travelling together. I didn't think I would be able to come because we were already taking a family trip in Sept. and I thought I might be joining some friends in Europe in the late spring/early summer. That doesn't look like it will happen so I have the time to come on the cruise.
I understand from Kathy that some of you whom I have never met know me from her posts. Since I don't have two or three weeks to read thru all the past posts, I may repeat things she has mentioned. I am guessing most of you know about my "job" as an RC priest. Actually, I am planning to say Mass somewhere on the ship on the Sunday while we are at sea and anyone is welcome.
Also, while I expect to try to keep up reading the posts, I probably not be posting all that much myself. So there you are! Joanne, don't forget your walkng shoes! :cool2:

cassie went back home saturday.:sad2: princess:

now robins stuck talking to me again.:rolleyes1

sorry to hear that Mike, Sean goes back next Sat the 10th.

Just trying to catch up with everyone on here.
Ive been sick since Tuesday, worked anyway tues and wed, my holiday, was sick
all through new years eve and day. Sean went to a friends and stayed till last night
so I was glad he didn't miss out.
I called in sick today and am laying on the couch trying to catch up, luckily Sean let
me use his laptop so I can still lay down under the blankets and DIS.

Happy Belated New Year's everyone!

And here are pics with Santa. And I promise to stop.

Harrison loved Santa this year. You can tell he is really telling him what he wants and then listening to him telling him to be good.

And I still don't know why I stay here. :sad2:

Last year, the heavy snow didn't come until Feb and March. We did a total of 100" last year. Our record is 108". If those two months are anything like last year, we will blow that record away.

Granted we're not in Buffalo or upstate NY, or even in western MI where they get much more, but when you start breaking your snow fall records, it gets to be too much snow.

yup good old upstate NY:eek:
Do we really get more snow than you guys?
I really thought you got slammed with way more than us?:confused3

Welcome back from your wonderful Christmas Vacation!
Hope you're feeling more like your old self every day, or even better:thumbsup2

I just walked in the door...it's 1:30 am and there's no way I am catching up :sad2: I'll do that tomorrow!

My sister and I went to supper and a movie tonight. We went to see the Benjamin Button movie. Holy crap...I'm warning you now...if you go see this...bring a whole box of kleenex!!! :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

It was an amazing movie but at the same time, it was the saddest movie I have ever seen!!!!!!

I'm more emotional since I had Kira but I think I was teary eyed for most of the movie and then I balled my eyes out for the last 30 mins!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to wake Kira up and hold her and cuddle her when I got home :rolleyes1

Not the kind of movie I should have seen on the anniversary of my mom's death but nevertheless, it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, off to bed for me. :wave2:

Oh, I can't wait to see this movie!
Glad to hear the good review from you Cass, I seem to agree with your movie reviews and choices.
So when I'm better, I'll be seeing this one:yay:

Feel better soon Rose.........:flower3: Hazel is still fighting it, her nose looks like Rudolph's nose, red and shiny!!!

She's not bad. She was going to Church tonight for prayer meeting, but we all weren't happy with her out at 11/12pm at night on her own. I said I would go with her, but she spoke to Vicar who said he would open up at 12noon for her, so she could light a candle for Dad and say a small prayer. He would have been 82 today.

Well, that's me for today and I don;t know if I'll be back before 12midnight, so

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERONE AND HERE'S FOR A WONDERFUL 2009 AND A WONDERFUL CRUISE IN OCTOBER:woohoo: :woohoo: :yay:

:cool1:

Karen, Where are you????:confused3

I was still on the plane:rotfl: We took off 6.30pm US time, 1 hour later the captain played Auld land song over the p.a. system and we all sang as the staff handed out drinks.

happy New Year Everyone. Have A Lovely Evening And Its One Step Nearer To The Cruise. At Least We Are In The Right Year!!

Sean, Cath And Olivia

Happy new year to everyone:goodvibes

:sad2: Had some disturbing news earlier. One of Hazel's niece's (age 19, and a twin) suffered what is believed to be a heart attack or stroke as she was walking in the door from work. Her father and brother preformed CPR and brought her back, not once, but twice. She is in ICU at our local hospital. Hazel's sister is beside herself. This is not how we wanted 2008 to end, and 2009 to begin.

The phone just rang as I was typing. Hazel's dad called and said that Hazel's niece has, was is believed to be, a cyst on her brain. Any prayers and good thoughts would be greatly appreciated. As you can imagine, Hazel is a bit shook up as well and is sitting by the phone waiting for any updates.

I'll pray for her Andy:hug:

Hey, our cruise is now THIS YEAR! :cool1:

:cool1:

Did I get it? :confused3

Yes I did. Post #60,000 on all of the BOB threads. :cool1:

:thumbsup2 way to go Number Boy:rotfl2:

I was thinking of requesting him, regardless of rotation, on the BOB. Karen and Neil really like Indian food. They would love having Leslie as a server, especially if he can get some of those "special" dishes he got us on the repo.

Me likey Indian food:yay:

We talked to Karen and Neil on Christmas night and they said the lines were really short. I told her to wait until after the holiday.

They called from the airport before boarding their flight, but only had time to wish us a Happy New Year. I'll have to ask her how their second week was.

It was one hell of a rush. We got to the airport quite late because we can check in at DTD, so we only have to arrive an hour before, then we had to feed Ellis (burger king) just incase his plane meal is in-edible, then we got to the gate and they had already started boarding our plane:eek: ... we ran back to the phones, made that quick call and ran back to the gate in time for our boarding (just). Sorry it was so quick, but I just wanted to say happy new year before we left.

BTW, welcome home Karen. Not sure if they landed yet (don't think so, its been only about 7 hours or so since they took off.

It took about 7.45 on the way home. We got a nice wind which helped "blow" us home quicker:goodvibes

So when I'm better, I'll be seeing this one:yay:

I've decided that I want to see it again :rolleyes1 :lmao: And I NEVER see a movie twice in the theatre!! ;) I talked and thought about this movie for days after I saw it!!! No other movie has effected me like this one before!

I know it's more powerful for me because I lost my mom but if you have ever lost anyone, it will be powerful I think.

I am taking Rob to see it because I want to see his reaction to this film. ::yes::

Let me know your thoughts on it when you see it Rose :thumbsup2 Don't forget your kleenex ;)

Howdy Folks........

Checking in from sickbay this morning. Still home with the flu but starting to feel a little better, not even going to try and catch up here, looks like a lot of pages were added since I last signed on.........

Fever finally broke yesterday, but my head is still in a fog. I could only imagine how I would have felt if I didn't have the flu shot in October......

Lina got "the call" from The Disney Store yesterday. Because of the sagging economy, none of the 30 seasonal employees that were hired are being offered part-time positions at the store. In fact, some of theor regular part-time employees are losing hours. At least Lina still has her babysitting job at the moment to tide her over.

Well guys, I'll try and check back in later, time for my meds and some more rest. I've got to get back into work tomorrow and Friday to get Thursday's holiday pay.

Bye for now........:wave2:

Sorry to hear that for Angelina. Was she still going to go to school? Had she reconsidered the massage school? I can't seem to recall.:confused3
