We are watching the sound of music!!!! My favorite movie!!!

Sorry Pats fans Roger is in mourning......

Not necessarily but probably. We haven't ruled out driving if for no other reason that it's easier to pack! But most likely we'l fly.

I can only imagine it is easier on you to fly - except the luggage part. That is a long drive. We flew in September, but I think we'll be driving for this one. Of course, our drive is nothing like yours!

I am too - sort of - I mean, I'm on here too. My sister and I sang in an Italian restaurant when we were young (really young), and we always included songs from this movie.

Tell Roger I feel the same way. Although who expected them to have the season they did.
Nancy has taken her nasty cold that she caught and is in bed watching the C's. They are playing the same team tonight that we have tickets for next month. We will take the Amtrack out of Portland to the Garden in the morning do some shopping go maybe to the North End to a nice Italian Restaurant for supper go back for the game that evening and then come back on the train. Thats our Christmas to each other

I like your idea of same pants, different tops. In fact I'd already thought of the mix & match.

N

I do that all the time Nancy. I take a couple of neutral color pants or shorts and different tops.

Hey everyone!
Brenda- Color me Green with envy that you get to go on the transatlantic. I so wish Sean and I could go on that one, it's cheaper than the PC (cruise alone that is)!
I had it all planned out (even though I knew it wasn't going to happen), fly to London and visit my sister for a couple of days;). Then fly to Barcelona with said sister and sail with her and her gorgeous grump of a hubby to Port Canaveral.
I have to settle with meeting said sister at Port Canaveral and going with her to WDW,since it will be my DD senior year and we all know how expensive that can be (huh Andy), but better something than nothing.:thumbsup2
Anyhoo, have a fantabulous time! And may I officially welcome you to the Friends of BOB club.

Need to stick together on this. We saw someone in a tropical shirt and shorts in Palo's this year and couldn't believe it.
Seriously! I mean they kicked Sean out of brunch for wearing a nice shirt and dress shorts, that kind of ticks me off.:headache:
I may get flamed for this, but at brunch I did not see what the big deal was with his attire.

As for Formal Night attire, you will see EVERYTHING that night! You will see tuxedos, gowns and tiaras and you will see shorts and tank tops.

Last year, since we had so much stuff with us, we decided to rent a tux for Rob and I wore two black dresses, one on formal night, the other on semi-formal night. I must say that this time more than any other, he stood out a little and we saw only a handful of tuxes. I would say that the majority of men were in slacks and a nice top.

I never saw any really dressy ladies this time, most with a cocktail-type dress and/or a pantsuit.

The ONLY people that didn't fit in and people were looking at were the ones that wore shorts and tee shirts/tank tops in the dining rooms.

To me, that is just rude. If you want to dress like that, no problem...go to the buffet, it's almost the same meal and you will fit in with the shorts/tees. If you are going to eat in the dining room, make some kind of an effort! You absolutely don't need a gown/tux/suit...but a nice pair of pants and a nice shirt/blouse will do just fine!

In 2005, my luggage didn't arrive until after 10pm and the only thing I had was shorts. Even though it was the first night and it was a casual attire that night, it just felt wrong to wear my shorts to dinner in Lumieres. :sad2: I felt so out of place. I LOVE shorts and could wear them everyday but it just felt wrong to be wearing them in a lovely restaurant. Just before dinner we ran into Mike & Robin in Mickey's Mates and they were SO gorgeous!!! I was SO embarrassed  :scared: They were all clean and purdy and I looked like I was ready to hit the Magic Kingdom  :rolleyes1

We won't be dressing up as much on this cruise (luggage restrictions! and a three-year old  ) but I will make an effort :thumbsup2

Ok, I will step down off my soapbox now
huh.gif

One lady on a recent cruise wore the same red shorts every night to dinner. How rude was that?

Yes Cass I know you have a ton more class than that lady and will dress appropriately. I think that even a nice pair of capris and blouse can be just as dressy as a formal gown, you'll look beautiful no matter what.

That lady wore the same outfit EVERYDAY, with the exception of formal night I do think she got dressed for that. But I swear she looked as if she slept in those things. Then she got chosen for the the hypnotist, if I had know I would have asked that they put a suggestion of wearing decent clothes at dinner. OUR table I do say was quite a dapper bunch.:cool2: I mean even our dear AFEG had a tux on for formal night.

Cass - Cute photos! It always seems children find ways to use toys that please them no end, and the ways they use them are different from the intent. I am sure though, Kira will find playing with the play dough itself fun as well!

Good morning all,

Cass, great pics, as always!! :cutie:

Becky, no flames from this girl. From the pictures I've seen from the Repo you ALL looked amazing!:thumbsup2
