Anyone want a good laugh? Google Honolulu to Atlanta, click on maps, then click on Get Directions. Check out the route, and sscroll down to what should be step 15. Sometimes I wonder about the people (my husband included) who write the software we all rely on each day.

Laughing FO????? Denied again - but still laughing, it's all good!

Thanks for the prayers, good thoughts, and pixie dust everyone! Rob will post an update sometime this evening. The surgery may take up to 5 hours.....

I was just telling Rob...I love my Bobers!

Kathy, maybe if you don't mind, can you ask your brother to say a short prayer for my docs?

My mom's burning a hole in her rosary, I think......:worship:

Walt and I are praying for you Paige and family. Keep strong and see you in 11 months to celebrate. Hope this will cure your headaches. Di:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Personally, I like step 16...and if you click on the step, it zooms to where you should be parking your kayak ;) :rotfl2: Some random park...and then you follow the walking path right into an alley...then you take a SHARP right :rotfl: :lmao:

Guess this is where they have a car waiting for you :rolleyes1

Good morning people

Bit of a speedy reply this morning...back in school today:rolleyes:

Karen,

Congrats on the driving. I am one that gets lost very easy. That is why I ahve GPS system in my van and it is wonderful. Mine has a male voice that is just as annoying as the womens voice. Sometimes I go the wrong way just to see if it will yell at me. :lmao:

My future daughter in law is a special ed teacher for high school. Most of her kids are high functioning. They are amazing people with what they have accomplished with their disabilities.

Now this is going to sound even sillier, but my concern with a gps is that it will tell me to turn at a horrible junction I dont like:rolleyes1

We dont have straight blocks over here and nice straight roads... there are some awful junctions over here and I'd panic even more if it sent me to one of them:scared1:

I admire your FDIL:thumbsup2 - you have to have special talent to work with special ed kids. I did it for 5 weeks during my training... I found it hard to spereate my emotions and be able to teach at the same time. Give her a BIG pat on the back from me:thumbsup2

Karen, do you celebrate any kind of Thanksgiving in England?

Nope. Theres no mention of it over here. I usually do a thankgiving dinner to celebrate but havent this year as I'm doing our "christmas day" on Dec 7th anyway.

Sean's home

He made it flying home first time alone with no glitches whatsoever:thumbsup2

Well done Sean:yay: and welcome home:cool1:

You need a Garmin!!

NK

You souind like my hubby:lmao:

i made pancakes sunday morning. robin said "ohh, i have to practice", so she sat there during breakfast with a pancake on her head.

:lmao:

i took one for the team sunday.

they had a thanksgiving dinner at the nursing home and we went to eat with robins mom.
they bring the food out and served the dinner all on the same plate!!!!!!!
like 7 different foods all touching.
i nearly barfed.
i went into panic mode and quickly tried to set up barriers between the different foods.
(they even put the roll right on top of the peas!!!!)

robin owes me big time for that one
extra smoochers??

Ooooh Mikey:scared: - that must have been scarey for you. Well done:woohoo:

lori, i need your help.
shes the only one who underdstands it. (karen too right??)

at home i eat all my foods on separate plates.(i do the dishes so its ok.)
lori and i co-wrote a book last year about all the foods that are acceptable to eat while touching. certain breakfast foods are ok.

I do eat ketchup on my hotdog smart mouth becky.

on the cruise i let the server know right off my habits and they are always happy to oblige.:dance3:
its one of my many special quirks that robin has grow to love about me.
yeah, right

I'm with you on certain things not being able to be mixed. E.g. - my hubby puts ketchup on baked beans:scared: :scared1: :scared: :scared1: - what the hell is wrong with that man:scared1: :confused3 - thats just PLAIN WRONG!!!!!!! He should be arrested for such a hideous act.:rotfl:

And I know we've been over this before, but for the benefit of new peeps -

sweet And sour things eg syrup and bacon - HOLY COW PEOPLE! - JUST STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!!!!:scared1: :scared: :scared1:

OK, gotta go, running late again.

Later peeps

Quick question for the pancake sisters - I dont make pancakes - would a shop bought tortilla on my head do?:lmao:

And is that really the "shortest" route? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Heck, if they would have taken me to California rather than Washington state, I might be able to swim across the Pacific instead. It would save us the Kayak rental fee. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Good morning everyone!!!

  Here's hoping Paige is on the mend and headed to a quick, complete recovery, and Rob and the kids are feeling a peace!!!

Karen, I don't think a tortilla is a bad practice item. It is a bit floppier (unless you use the fried kind) and a bit lighter, so I'm not sure you'll get a true experience, but we won't make you pose for your picture or hop across the dining room with it unless you've had ample time to practice. :rotfl:

Yes, about that route - the landfall point is rather silly, and the whole kayak thing - I'm laughing again just thinking about it.

Well, today is final preparations for tomorrow - I have only a few things left to purchase and am having brunch with a friend a little cafe. My son comes home today (YIPPEE) and my daughter tomorrow (Wish it were today). We will watch the Macy's parade tomorrow morning and make our own version of Macy balloons with helium balloons - it is something we have done every year, a corny but fun tradition.

Kathy, I hope you are feeling much, much better today!

I await all the explanation about foods, though I must agree, syrup on bacon is yucky. Anything mixing that changes the texture of the invaded food would give me reason to think twice. And ketchup on baked beans.... oh that is another story... Mack hates ketchup to even be on the table - he and tomatoes do not get along (though he eats pizza and spaghetti and could eat his weight in lasagna). We had a waitress at the Turf Club at SSR that accidentally spilled a bowl of ketchup down his back - oh, the kids and I were laughing inside to beat the band, but of course, on the outside, we were doing whatever we could to help. He did a phenomenal job not losing it. And of course, Disney being Disney, bent over backward to rectify the situation.

Everyone have a lovely day!

Hey - Just wondering if any of you have used photopass with uploaded photos versus park-taken photos? I am wondering if the quality is the same - especially in backgrounds where a person is inserted. Also, does anyone know if we can legally upload our cruise photos for photopass items - snow globes or ornaments for example? Thanks!

Good morning everyone!!! I am hoping for a GRRRREaaat day today. AFter I get my workers out, I have to drive to Hartford to pickup some paperwork and checks. Then the kids have a half day, then in the evening my parents and sister comes. Additionally, today is usually one of our top 3 or 4 days for fundraising. The weather should be good so that will definitely help!

Rob's like that too! It took me years to figure out why he doesn't like certain meals I make...like shepherd's pie...lasagna...macaroni casserole, etc. It's because they are all mixed together and he can't eat one thing at a time :lmao:

Mike, wasn't there like 5-6 BOBers that are like that? I know for sure Lori, but there were more too! Christian maybe? I remember you were all going to have a DIS meet onboard and there were going to be a single plate buffet :lmao:
Yes I am the same way! I also eat stuff separately usually. I will eat my meat, then move on to the other things. I rarely eat a bite of meat, then a few fries/potatoes, etc, then back to the meat. I can't stand Shepherd's pie, but can't stand many casseroles or salads. Being Italian, I do like lasagna though, but not with a lot of ricotta.

Okay - I have not had the pleasure of your company for a meal, so please explain a couple of things - Do you typically eat your meals on several plates or a divided type plate or what? How do you eat a sandwich if your foods can't touch?

Oh, goodness Kathy, don't get these guys going....
there's too many of these people on this cruise:crazy:

Hi Buddy,

Glad to hear you have your girls together...:cutie:

Gives you time to relax..:thumbsup2 :worship:

Will be thinking of you when "Food" Touches..:scared1:

Walt :cool1:

Hi Walt, glad to hear that your family will be together this week too:grouphug:

pizza is ok, but no junk on it. NO CASSEROLES OF ANY KIND!!!!
i'd really like to explain it all but theres not enough time. we cruise in 11 months.:rotfl2: :lmao:
