Hi gang! I could use little pixie dust tonight :sad2:

Came in this morning and found out that a co-worker's 35 year old wife didn't wake up yesterday morning, leaving behind her husband, a 7 year old and 3 year old twins...:sad1:

Then the news about Paige who, even though I've never met her, I feel like I know. I've been thinking her all day and send her hugs and prayers! pixiedust:

For the end of a perfect day: I just got home from the Dr. where I was diagnosed with a kidney infection so severe and sudden, the Dr. thought I had a kidney stone, which I don't, THANK GOD!!! sorry for the run-on sentence Mimi! I've never had an infection like this before so I was really wigged out that I wouldn't be able to go to CT for Thanksgiving, but it all worked out. just 7 days of antibiotics and several gallons of water & cranberry juice :rolleyes1

OK, end of pity party :rolleyes1

OMG how sad for that family. I will add them to my prayers also.

Why does this kind of stuff always happen arround the holidays.

I hope you feel better soon, the economy needs your shopping dollars Friday!!!

Hope Paige is feeling all our prayers and pixie dust.

My mom told me about all the congrats and the well wishes for our wedding. Jesse and I just wanted to jump on here and thank all of you. We had great winter weather, a little cold but no rain, snow or slush and the sun peeked out for a while too. The food was great and the cake was even better. We still have so much of it left over.:scared:

So, thanks again and we can't wait to see you all in 11 months!

Kristin and Jesse :bride: :groom:

Congratulations Kristin - you were such a beautiful bride and now I understand why Paige calls you Smiley Girl! ;)

Can't wait to meet you both - I expect that you will be playing The Newlywed Game onboard the Magic??? :cool1:

Thanks, Joanne! No way I'm missing the Black Friday tradition!

My boss said they thought it was a massive stroke. They did have a wake tonight, which I missed because I was at the dr. (I didn't know Hindu people had wakes, but it was actually at a Hindu funeral home :confused3 I believe they will make the arrangements to get her back to India as well. ) Hopefully, some of my co-workers will have more info tomorrow. I'm sure that Suresh is devastated, not to mention those poor kids

:sad2:

Thanks so much - i really appreciate it :flower3:

That's interesting that the body has to be buried so far away from the family. Must be a reason Hindus can't be buried in this country?

Take care of that infection - I've had that & it's not fun!

Hey, Joanne, guess what David got his wife for her birthday? That's right, Garmin. He got sick of her always calling him for directions!

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the well wishes. I am having surgery tomorrow, Tuesday, around 11 am. I am confident that this will go smoothly. The doc says the tumor (about 3cm X 4cm) is benign, probably. They usually are. It is called meningioma. The prayers are most welcome, and, no, I shouldn't have to shave my head. The doc says he'll just shave where he needs to make the incision (kinda big I think though).

I had a seizure Saturday morning, went to the ER, and the next thing I know, here I am. I am hoping that this tumor has been the culprit of my headaches that I've had for a year now.

On a positive note--Kristin, you make a beautiful bride. That smile is awesome!!!

I'll be sure to pass along my progress, at least through Nancy or another Bober whose email address I have, then they can post for me. I'll be laid up in the hospital for a few days.

Thanks again, y'all.:goodvibes

Paige - I will be in prayer tonight and tomorrow for you and your surgical staff - also for your family. Thanks for posting and for letting us know you'll update us as you can. Rest, relax, and stay confident!

I hope the antibiotics kick in fast and you feel better.:flower3:

Sorry to hear you had such a cruddy day ... here are some hugs from Stinktown (OFallon may smell, but I don't!).   Hope you feel better soon Kathy!

The news about your co-worker's wife is so sad. Between that and Paige's sudden problem it really does put things into perspective, doesn't it?

I've also heard from Paige and she's in good spirits hoping that she will be able to have surgery tomorrow rather than having to wait another week. I'm sure she can feel all the pixie dust and good thoughts that everyone has sent her way. :grouphug:
Thanks for the update, Bendy

We are crazy Black Friday shoppers, wouldn't miss it.

So glad to hear from you, and hoping for successful surgery tomorrow. Hope this is the answer to your headaches. I hope the kids & Rob are doing okay, that had to have been so scary.:grouphug: :grouphug:

I checked this out with another Hindu co-worker. They have to be cremated and their ashes sprinkled in one of the Sacred Rivers in India.

So good to hear from you, Sistah!

I'm so glad that you can go through with surgery tomorrow and get this taken care of sooner rather than later. Jay and I will be sending all our best thoughts and positive, non-stinky energy your way. :grouphug:

Scary though this must be, I hope in the long run that it brings you some real relief. It's no fun to struggle with pain all the time. Make sure that hubby of yours lets the rest of us know how you're doing, OK?

Stay strong - everything is going to be okely-dokaley. :thumbsup2

We love you!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Sending prayers your way Paige.
I wish all the best for you and your family.

So, I didn't read back too far so sorry if I'm missing something.

First- Paige, thanks for letting us know about the surgery tomorrow. I'm also glad that it will be done and over with for you. You have all 6 of us praying for you.

Cass, plz give Kira a little birthday hug from Mother Goose.

Kathy, I hope you feel better too. Those kidney infections can be a real pain. I have only kidney now because when I was 6 years old (a long, long, long, long time ago ) and living in Germany no one did anything about my illness. They let me go for weeks and weeks and as a result I lost the function of it. Thankfully, nowadays, things are so much better and treatments work so much quicker. Take care dear.

Arleen, Kristin and Jesse are going skiing this weekend for their honeymoon. It'll be just a short 3-day weekend for them. They are planning on making the BOB cruise their real honeymoon.

Thanks for the hugs from Stinktown, Brandine!

Wow, you said it! I feel so whiny right now.

Thanks for sharing that info with us and I am praying that she can through this as quickly and painlessly as possible! :flower3:

You're more than welcome for the get well hugs! And I hope you didn't think I meant that you were being whiny, 'cause I didn't. Kidney infections are a real bummer ... I'd be complaining for sure if I had another one of those. Just take care of yourself. :goodvibes

Bendy, Am I missing a "Smelly" update??:confused3
