Christmas Vacation is one of my favorites. I laugh harder everytime I see it. I love the scene where Clark is looking out of the window visualizing his pool and cousin Eddie is on the diving board with his wife beater shirt tucked inside of his speedo! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

thats one of our favs too.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

although i remember different things from that pool scene.:woohoo: :cloud9:

No - Ugh! I hit reply before I finished typing. I hate it when I do that.

We love Christmas Vacation too. We have always done pizza and a movie every Firday night. We look forward to watching our Christmas favorites between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Even with the kids gone, Mack and I do pizza and a movie!

I did get one of them up last night but have to do the tinsel today. I love tinsel but it has to go up one strand at a time. Chuck is always excused from Tinsel duty as he just grabs a bunch and tosses it. :sad2:

want me to tell that story again about how robins dog ate tinsel and it got stuck when the poochie went to the bathroom.:rotfl2: :lmao:

i'll never forget that scene of robin outside with gloves on, pulling the tinsel from the backside.:rotfl2: priceless.:lmao:

but you dont see me posting any of those pics do you??
i'm a nice guy.:cool2:

Kathy, when we had a cat we would hang tinsel from the middle of the tree and up because she would like to eat it. Talk about a funny looking tree but I just couldn't go without my tinsel.

We had a cat that we purposely fed tinsel to when we were kids. We loved seeing the END result!:lmao: :rotfl2:

I love ' It's a wonderful life'.
Bob told me that he'd never seen it before:scared1:
Are you from the USA?

I made him watch it last year. He loved it!:thumbsup2

We have a few done too but I love shopping the day after Thanksgiving with all the other crazies out there. We get up at the "butt crack of stupid" , grab a cup of coffee and head over to the mall by 5 a.m. We're usually done by noon. We get them all wrapped and tucked away. We have the rest of November and December to relax then. :)

I usually do most of my shopping online now:surfweb:
I still go out and shop too, but most of my stuff will be ordered and shipped to me. Hey, I'm helping keep my job in business if they ship it USPS!:thumbsup2 (sometimes that isn't a option though)

Not that I don't enjoy shopping but I usually try to find the best deal I can
and most of the time I find it online:) ( or for the gifts that they just don't seem to carry around here)

Well, guess I have to do a little grocery shopping now. I haven't had breakfast yet and all that's in this house is chips and dip and some Jelly Bellies. Do you think the chips and dip could be considered my vegetables and dairy? The Jelly Bellies could be my fruits if I only eat the peach, pear, cherry and orange ones, right???

Watch for the release of my new book::Creative Weight Watchering:goodvibes

I would buy it!.. and the chips for breakfast are called Old Dutch hasbrowns ;) hehehhe

Yup, that's what I'm talking about!

:lmao:

But more fun when we were kids because we never had to pull it out, that was my mother's job:lmao:

Sounds fabulous! I miss a good pate. Please tell me since you mentioned fish and chips here... educate this American - what is the diffrence between chips and fries? (Mack and I are still talking about the post with pizza and fries)

Karen - you are amazing with the Christmas out already. I have a couple fo friends here who have done their decorating. I can't seem to do it this early. I want it up, but I can't do it this early.

Chips are fatter fries. The only thing we call fries over here is the skinny McDonalds type. Chips to you are crisps to us.

I dont normally have the tree etc up this early, but being as we leave on the 18th for WDW I wanted to make the most of it.:goodvibes

No back up from the Tuna. He's MIA until 10/24.:sad2:

I think this started because Chuck was upset because you sent out all those gobblers but you didn't send one to him. although he didn't say i quite that way, that's what he meant And then someone else took it another way ;)

no more tuna???:sad2: :sad1:

well then, i'm starting my "bring back the tuna" campain now.:woohoo:

this will be my last post on this thread till the tuna posts again.:wizard:

see you guys next oct..:grouphug:
if you want to talk to me, i'll be on thread #13

My older cat keeps finding these leftover remnant of Easter basket grass and still keeps eating it!
:sad2:

I keep thinking I've gotten the last of it gone and she finds another piece in my junk room (which I try to keep her out of)
Unfortunetely she also gags and coughs it up in hairballs besides the other end.

But then why does she keep wanting to eat it again?:confused3

Okay - this may be too much for some of you...,. Warning - our daughter's dog took to eating everything - I mean everything - inm her room and bathroom trash can. That dog had everything coming out of him from tissues to plastic shopping bags to underwear to feminine hygeine prodcts - YUCK! We are lucky (okay, Mack would say not lucky) he didn't die. By the way, now that she is at college, he dog, Hershey, lives outside.

Oops. Was it good though?

Heavenly:cloud9: - new york cheesecake with cream:cloud9:

I actually watched three movies last night. White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life and Christmas Vacation.

Way to go with the tree:woohoo: I dont let Neil anywhere near our tree:sad2: - it would look awful.

I'm not putting the 8 foot tree up this year. I'm just doing the 6 foot one. The lights take me the longest. About a day til I'm happy with them. - I keep tweaking til I get it right. The tinsel then goes on next, then the hundreds of disney baubles:woohoo:

I'm praying I'll be able to get the hallmark ones when I'm over there and that they havent sold out. I usually get them shipped (costs more for hte shipping then the actual baubles:rolleyes1 ) but I cant afford it this year.

3 films in a row:woohoo: - i also love miracle on 34th street - the old version:thumbsup2

Please post piccies of your tree when its finished.

Okay - good to know: I had not heard of crisps. We knew chips were what we call steak fries or nto quite that thick, so we thought perhaps fries were as you say, McDonald's type. Nwo the question still remains - is it a common combination there to pair pizza with fries?

Sounds like our after Thanksgiving shopping, our favorite time. Though w/Mark we are earlier than you. You'll have to ask him:lmao:

Good morning everyone :-)

We are almost done christmas shopping but I will not be putting any decorations up till Dec1 it was always a rule in the house..lol

and perhaps you guys could tell me about the fish hanger game?? or should I wait till tonight when i have dinner with Cass??

So last night it finally snowed... not much but atleast it looks like winter for today, we are suppose to have a Chinook this week wich will make it all go away again :sad2: I miss my mountain winters.. lived in Calgary for almost 20 years now and still long for the kind of snow that when it happens it can bury your house..lol someday i will go back and be happy once more

Well, we went shopping today and ended up buying Christmas pressies.

:woohoo: Oooh goodie! - What did you get me?:woohoo: :lmao:

I'm thinking we have a lot of good folks on this board! I am excited about meeting so many of you. I love the opportunity to get to know folks before sailaway from chatting like this!

Its great isnt it!:yay: - It certainly made our cruise last year. I dont think I'd like to cruise if it was just the three of us.

want me to tell that story again about how robins dog ate tinsel and it got stuck when the poochie went to the bathroom.:rotfl2: :lmao:

I'm cooking dinner - you almost put me off my fajitas:sad2:

I always cook chips or fries to go with our pizza. I get bored if I have the same taste over and over again. I have to have something else too like garlic bread or fries etc. I also serve coleslaw with pizza - Am i mad?:rotfl:

We all have a list of people participating and their cabin numbers. Throughout the cruise, one by one you sneek to their door and leave your gift on their fish or doorknob. Its great fun:yay: Cass will explain it better.
