Had a few £ on a horse,and their about to run thats all.....

You need to come visit us in Louisville, KY the first week in May if you like the horses. That is when the Ky Derby is ran. Of course we celebrate a two minute horse race for two weeks before. Any reason to have a party.

We have a Garmin. DH just bought 2 for the boys at Walmart on line. No monthly fee. We love ours.

Another vote here for the Garmin. I have one and love it. There is no monthly fee unless you pay for traffic info. I believe there is a fee for that plus extra equipment to buy.

ps...Is their any singing between the fans at an American Football game?

Not like what I have seen of European Soccer. I am not talking about professional football, I don't really follow that, but at the College level and below most teams have a fight song that they sing for their own school or they may have a song that is against one particular school, but there is not much back and forth between the two sides. Now and again, but not often.

The song against another school is usually the rival school and it has always been amusing to me to hear - for example, when North Carolina State is playing anyone - it doesn't matter who - they sing a song that includes "go to h*ll Carolina" - referring to the University of North Carolina. So, N.C. State may be playing Florida, but they are still yelling for Carolina to go to h*ll.

At New York Yankee games, we Bleacher Creatures have songs that are sung at various times of the game. There is the roll call at the beginning where we call out to each player once the first pitch is made. This is done in the following order. CF, LF, RF, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B. Each player's name is chanted until they turn around and acknowledge us.

During the 6th inning, the stadium sings, the YMCA, but in our section we sing, "why are you gay" and often a loud mouthed opposing fan is sung directly to.

Their have been "box seats suck" chants among others that have been banned by the Yankees, and enforced by the NYPD. People caught singing or given obscene gestures to fans in box seats are ejected.

Outstanding! I have been checking out the web site. Quite a proud history there. I am proud to stand with you - I notice after the beating we gave Chelsea I don't see any posts for them!

you have learnt one big thing about footbal teams in england , the southern teams and those in the midlands ( cant think of any teams worth talking about in the midlands) are very quick to have a go at the northern teams but when we stuff them they go very quiet i wonder why they are just a bunch of southern jessies.

our team are playing QPR tomorrow and you can catch the cup draw 12-30 uk time my friend

To be honest, I'm not sure what server he's on...I'll have to ask him.

I don't play WOW, but up until recently I played City of Heroes with my DH, so we're gamer geeks too!

When Di worked temp in Lexington, we made a trip to the Granddaddy Grounds..Very impressed..Would just love to see "The Race"

Of course, whiskey tour wasn't bad

Maker's Mark Chocolate was fablous..

And the Horse Stables put our home to shame..

Hey wanted to comment on what a great job you did on your Vegas report.

My girlfriend, who overworks, is stressed out caring for her Alzheimer's Dad, and whose husband is absolutely no fun at all ....
well, her sister decided Judy really needed a vacation. And Judy really hasn't traveled too much so anyhoo...... her sister planned a trip to Vegas for them both. Neither had been before.

So...TA DA! I sent them a link to your wonderful trip report so that they'd have some ideas of fun things to do see and eat!

They both checked it out last weekend and loved it and arrived in Vegas yesterday

Wow, that's awesome!!! I've made tons of people take Disney World/Disney Cruise trips and now I've made someone go to Vegas! You will have to let me know if they like it Btw, I fixed that bday message....had some code issues LOL

Just popped in to say hello and to prove I am going to be logging in more often and getting to know you guys so when cruise time comes I can at least say hi without feeling like I should stand in the corner

I am also going to show my daughter this link so she can get to know you guys.. she will be almost 17 when the cruise comes around... wow I am getting old.. and my son will be almost 19... um yeah getting old.. so that they can make some friends on here and then they will not be pasted to my side the entire trip..lol
