10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat Cruise (I'm with BOB) Chapter #9

I just checked and Lina said she doesn't feel up to going with me this morning. The only reason I am going to workout this morning is for Hazel and Lina's sake, I want to be here for them, for a long time.

I don't know what is going on around here lately. Just as I was getting ready to go to bed around midnight last night, Lina received some horrible news. Lina found out that her friend Jenna's dad had passed away earlier in the evening. Lina just spent the other night at Jenna's house after attending Jenna's Sweet 16th Birthday Party. Needless to say, Lina was extremely upset with hearing the news, it took us until nearly 1:30 this morning to get her to calm down and go to sleep. I've met Jenna's dad a few times, and I know he is younger than me.

We went by Jenna's house last evening on the way home from the dentist before we knew this happened, and noticed there weren't any cars in the driveway, now we know why.

Not sure if we are going to make it to Riverwinds this morning.

That's terrible! I'm so sorry to hear that.

And now I'm popping back out to watch the olympics ... wheeeeee! Next Friday we leave for Boca Raton ... Jay's company is being very generous so I'll keep my constructive criticism to a minimum to show my gratitude.

Well, good morning form a damp and miserable England (again).

It actually hailed and thundered yesterday nad our street was flooded for a while. I took a few piccies. This is supposed to be our best time of year - god help us in December

Yesterday, wasn't too bad in the end. Sunny, but windy. Some trees were uprooted. We have heavy showers and sunny spells today.
