A drive by posting since I can't visit with you guys during the day any longer ...

I was at the game last night with people from work ... poor hubby had to sit at home and watch from the comfort of his oversized chair.

Woof! What incredible seats! Eight rows back from home plate ... incredible view. And there's a menu of food that you can order from your seats during the game so people are constantly getting food and drinks deleivered (us included).

Before the game starts they have a snooty buffet inside the Cardinals Club with things like carved turkey breast, weird pastas, stuffed tomatoes, gacky soup, an roasted 'taters.

Cass, I know I redeemed myself in your eyes when I asked where the dogs and burgers were! :rotfl2: Who the hell wants to eat that kind of food at a baseball game, especially in July? Bleaargh! :sad2:

I ordered a massive hot dog once we were in our seats and followed it up with a big hot cheesy pretzel. Mmmmmmmm, unhealthy! :lmao:

Oh, and all the booze was free and they had a fancy-schmancy bar inside where I was ordering Manhattans (only two).

So that's how the big-dog season ticket holders in Stinktown enjoy the game ... completely separate from the stinky masses in the stadium ;)

We have Morningstar products here but I've never seen chicken. I'm stopping at a store on my way to work this morning to see what they offer here. I love BOCA products. The chili is the best!! Thanks Mel. :thumbsup2

So did yours then. :goodvibes
The chic patties are awesome as are the corn dogs. THe beef crumbles are great in pasta sauce and the chicken strips and beef strips are great fried a little bit and added to salad. We also like the beef strips made with melted cheese, peppers and onions on a hoagie bun. YUM! You get creative when you are vegetarian and have to feed kids!

B,

Glad to hear you had a good time at the game.

BTW, how did the Cards do? :rolleyes1

HOLY CANOLI BRENDA!!! Sounds awesome! The free beer CANNOT be beat!!!

I knew I was underdressed when we walked into the club and saw the baby grand piano. :rotfl2:

And free beer = good. :thumbsup2

BTW ... the standard stadium fare was better in these seats too. The hot dog I ordered was twice the size of the one I would have paid for had I been sitting with the "little people" and the bun was fresh. ;) :lmao:

CHOKE!!!

I left at the start of the top 8th ... had a 50 mile drive to get home and didn't want to sit in traffic. So I got to listen to the birds cough it up again. No surprise.

That is exciting, make sure you spoil him. They really have it rough over there. Our prayers are always with them.

Good morning/afternoon all....

Well, this is our last day in Door County...

We've had a nice time...the weather has mostly cooperated. We got rainstorms yesterday morning which effectively washed out our planned beach day - and today (when we're driving home) will be sunny and 79F. It figures. So, I will be trying to talk DH into driving home late, so we can maybe go to the beach for a couple of hours...wish me luck!

I picked up the Chic Patties (and some lite buns) and the Asian patties. They were on sale 2/$5.00. I also got a couple more of my BOCA chili. Those things are only 150 calories, 1 gm fat and 12 gms fiber = 2 WW points!! Very spicy so make sure you have a nice glass of milk (or soy milk) to calm it down. Also, be sure to have a bottle of tums nearby. :goodvibes

I was watching for you B. I did see a cute chick dunking her oversized hot dog into her beer. Was that you?? (You must be watching too much of that Nathan's 4th of July contest). :lmao:

Oh yeah...and too bad about your Cards. :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I didn't dunk mine in beer, so you must have seen someone else.

I know it's not 9PM, but I have to share this...

when my dog showed up it was huge ... twice as big as the bun and plump, and juicy, and well, you get the picture. I told my friend Erica there was no way that I could sit there in full view of the TV cameras and eat that thing ... I'd feel like I was doing something extremely suggestive and not really family friendly. ;) :rotfl2:

So, every time I took a bite I hunched way over in my seat so that no one could see me.

Therefore, MG, if you saw a four-eyed hunchback eating a hotdog during the game last night then you did indeed see me. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

GREAT!!!
We like the Boca chili, too. BTW, Boca's breakfast links and patties are awesome!!!

Who did they lose to again? Oh, that's right, Milwaukee.

I will try to include a few pics from the church celebration.

This is Lori's and my mother after cleaning and decorating the day before. I set up this photo spot and we're trying it out.

This is the fav pic at the photo spot. I had hoped to have a family pic for the bob site here but we were all going in our separate ways and DD was not feeling well.
