Time to call it a night, see ya in the morning peeps.........:wave2:

We also went to a fish boil that night...it's sort of a Door County tradition.

We all sit outside:

and boil them for a while....then add extra kerosene to the fire to make it boil over:

Then take out the food and we go in and eat!

fresh fish, potatoes, coleslaw, fresh breads, and cherry pie for dessert!

Great pictures Jen! I haven't been to Door County in a few years :sad1: A fish boil sounds really good about now.

Cheryl, did you see the Midwest announcement today? Looks like you might be safe with your December flights, however, that's only set if the company doesn't go under. I'm still worried about them even being here in August.

I've read a lot of comments on the Journal's site about people not being accommodated onto other airline's flights. Just s.o.l. I'm seriously considering just using the Air Tran tickets we have instead and forego the MW flight.

So far we're safe but I was a little nervous. We were gone all day yesterday to Fond du Lac, Al's aunt was celebrating being a nun for 50 years so we went to the mass and lunch afterwards and when we got home and I tried to pull up our reservations last night I couldn't view it and got a message saying that our flight was cancelled and to call a certain # to get a refund or reschedule. Of course this was after they were closed at the schedule change desk. I tried calling them whenever I had a chance from work today and kept getting a busy signal. When I got home after hitting redial many times I finally got through and we were rescheduled to flights on the same days, a morning flight going to Orlando on Dec. 19 instead of an afternoon flight and the return flight is at 1:35 instead of 12:15 on Dec. 28. I was very relieved!!! Now they just have to stay in business until after we come home Dec. 28!!!! Car rental rates for that time have sky rocketed since I made our reservations and when I tried to change our Alamo rental on-line it wanted to increase the price by about $400.00 so I called Alamo and they adjusted our arrival and departure times without changing our rate so for now we are set again and not needing to drive in Dec.!

Have you decided what to do with your flights for the repo? They are saying none of the changes take affect until Sept.

Just wanted to let you know that my Dad passed away around 2:30 AM this morning. He died peacefully in his sleep. :sad2:

I got the call around 3 AM. We went down to the nursing home to be with Mom. We got her up so she could spend some time with him before they took him away.

Mom is doing ok. She's sad at times, but it tends to leave her mind occaisionally. I'm sure she'll be asking where he is from time to time.

It's been very hard, but I have such a feeling of relief. He is finally resting. Calling hours are Wed. evening with a grave side service Thurs. at 11.

We're hanging in there.

Thank you for all of your past support.

Robin

Robin,
Words on a Forum cannot convey what only a hug could. Our prayers are with you and your family.

You tell that wonderful wife of yours that I use Photoshop CS2 for my digital stuff but Photoshop Elements (about $100) will do the trick :thumbsup2

Well, it's WAY too hot to sleep...so I decided to do a layout before bed :rolleyes1

The heart is not on my final page, for web only ;)

Goodnight and Good Morning :wave2:

Cool that what she has. She's just amazed by your pages. Thinking she knew her way around that program she just admitted that she must not know how to use it at all.

:rotfl2: OY! You've really got her now! Here it is midnight and she over there teaching herself how to scrapbook with photoshop.:rotfl2:

Wow your school year goes a lot longer than ours. When does it start up again?

He breaks up today and they usually go back about 5th September. Ellis' school is having major building works done over the holidays so they dont go back til the 8th Sept.

Good job Neil. And btw, 12 pounds is nothing to sneeze at Karen. You're doing good as well.

How long have you guys been dieting now?

Its about 7 weeks I think.

Glad you survived Karen.

So is the school term done now? Enjoy the time off.

Last school day today.

I think they have a longer interim breaks than we do. Maybe I'm wrong.

I would much rather have DS in a full-year school than the summers off.

We have a longer time off at Easter - nearly three weeks.

BETH!

:cheer2: Hope you had a spectacular day! :cheer2:

Sorry - I missed it - Happy belated Birthday Beth:goodvibes

Karen, that is awesome! Don't compare yourself to Neil, men always lose weight fast and easy. 12 is fantastic!!! :woohoo: So far, I've lost 10...now I gotta do that 2 more times :rolleyes1

You'll look fabulous on that Greek beach!!! :thumbsup2

I still have 14lb to go:rolleyes1

You ladies have really motivated me!!! I am determined to lose these last 5lbs!!!!
Starting right now I am giving up the sweets, junkfood and all the bread I've been gorging on. I'm going to find time to get a little moving around in starting tomorrow, as well.

Good luck. Dont be too hard on yourself though, tret yourself with something small occasionally or you might be tempted to binge one day:rolleyes1

Wow your school year goes a lot longer than ours. When does it start up again?

Not having kids...this is a bit of guess work.

We have three sessions a year and each session is about 12 weeks in total. Each session breaks in the middle for a week - thats whats called half term. At the end of the twelve weeks they have about two weeks off before the start of the next term.If you visit WDW towards the third week October it will be full of Brits because thats the first half term break after they start back in September. Traditionally the summer break starts towards the third week in July and they don't go back until the first week in September.

Does that make sence?

I was kinda hoping for pasta tonight, but it was tacos. Suz didn't know I went for Mexican for lunch. Good thing I had the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce then.

Mole Sauce?explain please. I have visions of a furry little animal being blended for a sauce:rotfl:
