10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat Cruise (I'm with BOB) Chapter #10

Suz doesn't know, but I've booked the 4 night Wonder cruise on 10/18/09. It is the one right before the BOB. Not sure if I'm keeping it or not, but at 1/2 deposit for my dummy date, I figured why not book that as well.

Chris is sailing on that and I figured it would get us 11 nights instead of 7. Also will get us back on the Wonder.

That sounds awesome! You'd get two CC days!!!!

I think that's what I'm going to do for our December trip, too!

Happy sailing today Andy! Glad you found a gym at the Radisson. I hope you get to go somewhere fun on your cruise.

Good Morning All........

Just got back from a 60 minute workout here at the Radisson Fitness Center. I was up a little before 5am, so I figured I might as well get some exercising in to start my day. The equipment isn't as nice as what we have at Riverwinds, but it still does the job.

The day has arrived, in a few hours, we will be boarding the most MAGICal ship on the Seven Seas!!!!!

I haven't yet ventured into mixing stills and video yet. What software did you use?

I have a bunch of video from the Med too, but I haven't gotten into editing it yet. Everything takes time.

Beth and I haven't met any of the veteran BOBers. But watching the video, I was able to identify the different people from various pictures.

I remember spotting Mike & Robin, Walt & Di, Paige, Karen, and of course Cass & Rob.

Well, time to go to bed. G'night all.

I am hoping i have mastered the art of multi-quote but if not at least you can all have a good laugh!!!

Thats good - it will be even cheaper for you *** of the midweek flights - I'm paying a hefty premium for weekend flights I'm paying just under £1500 for the 3 of us.

Aww cheers Karen - cant wait for my party!! Not sure the exact dates everyone wants to go to Florida next week. I thought the Wednesday flights would be good to ensure that we didnt miss the cruise by flying on a Sat...but we shall see..

Well, there's honestly nothing else on property that compares with Vickie & Al's ... it's in a class all by itself.

BUT ... if you like French food the restaurant in Epcot called Bistro Paris is quite good and they do offer a degustation selection as part of their dinner menu. The service can be a bit spotty there but we really enjoyed the food.

Among the other signature restaurants on Disney property that we've tried (so far) California Grill at the Contemporary Resort, Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, and Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge are the best and the ones that we would go back to again.

We've got a new line-up of restaurants for this fall that will include some new signature restaurants so keep your eyes peeled after October!

If you happen to leave Disney property and head over to Universal, Emeril has two really good restaurants over there ... Emeril's at CityWalk and Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific Resort. We've eaten at both and they're fabulous!

Cheers for that B(r)enda, read your report from Bistro Paris and it looks fab, me and my Mum ove Epcot so i reckon that would be perfect (it tends to bore the others).

Good Morning everyone!! And Happy Labor Day (aka, another day off from work) to the USAers.

I went ahead and made our countdown. Nothing fancy, but I bought some bulk stickers at our local Hallmark store and cut up the stickers and taped them underneath each mickey head number. Each day, Amelia will be able to take a sticker out and decorate the castle.
Again, nothing fancy but she got a kick out of it!

Great countdown Mel. I think I'll make one for myself for the BOB cruise. Chuck and I will probably fight over who gets to remove the mickey heads and put the stickers on the Magic.

Jess, we love Epcot too ... never get tired of it. Maybe we can work something out for next Fall and we could have dinner together at Bistro? Jay and I would go back for sure and since we're visiting Vickie & Al on this trip we won't go again next Fall. Bistro would be a nice alternative.

EDITED to say: we also have Flying Fish, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Jiko on our radar for next year's trip, so if you'd prefer to join us for any of those meals instead you'd be more than welcome. AFEG would probably love Yachtsman ... it's all about meat. ;-)
