Rick and I went a couple of years ago and managed not to buy anything in the shop afterwards. How's that for willpower?

Oh my god! THATS IMPOSSIBLE - I have to come out with at least 10 turkish delights

its my underdstanding that there are still lots of cabins available for our Wonder cruise, so maybe a free upgrade is possible.
i'm told we should know monday.

Good morning people

Its sunny here this morning

We're off to Grandma's this morning - its her birthday. Then we're off to the firestation - they're having a fun day where the Moms get to oogle and drool over firemen all afternoon while the kids sit in their engines.

Tomorrows plans have changed... no chocolate anymore... the boy who we were taking got 4 free tickets to a movie premiere launch so we're taking them there instead .... at least he wont shout as much in the theatre, then its off to McD's for lunch afterwards.

We had grilled cheese sandwiches (made in my George Foreman grill) Light pringles and pear slices. I didn't feel like cooking tonight.

Never thought of using the grill for this purpose. Paninis here we come.

Actually, I got about 1/3 of my work done tonight. I'll have to cram tomorrow night to get the rest done. Oh well!

I'm too tired right now, though, and tomorrow is going to come very very quickly!!!

I can't believe how many people are going to crown themselves on the cruise! What a hoot ...

Cass ... I'll be happy to try to take charge of the martini tasting if you want to throw that over to me as we get closer to the cruise next year. I'm sure we can set it up just like the wine tasting from the last cruise.

Brenda, I won't be taking part in the Martini Tasting. I did it on the repo and all I can say is YUK! Looks like I'm strictly a sweet drink girl.

I'm SO embarrased cus when I went on the cruise I needed to lose a good 20-30 lbs and considering that I've gained another 21 on top of that...well let's just say I won't be posting any "before" pics until next year

Never thought of using the grill for this purpose. Paninis here we come.

Yep, they come out with the grill "stripes" and everything!

I discovered it one day when the skillet I normally use was in the dishwasher and I was too lazy to clean it...

Jen - Does the forman grill act like a sandwich press/maker? I want one of those!

It does to a certain extent....it doesn't press down all the way like those weights you'd use with a skillet (I don't know the real name for it)...I'd say there's an inch or so "clearance" in it, so if you put something very thin in the grill you wouldn't get the gril marks. If you look at one in the stores you'll see what I mean.

I know you don't eat meat but they're a good way to make burgers because it's angled and a lot of the fat will drain out. I discovered making sandwiches through laziness, but it works out - I don't have to flip anything!

I am totally insane. I'm having a garage sale this weekend and also trying to pack for our departure on tuesday. I'm totally nuts and my house is a major wreck!

Just got back from visiting my dear Mother



Not one word of thanks for any of the presents, the cards, the plant...

Her friend turns up while we're there, and she gushes over the flowers and card she's bought her.

She got her usual little jibes in about not seeing Ellis all week

Then she starts moaning about the bank account I opened for her saying its probably the worst bank and she's worried about losing her money - its actually the best interest rate by far, one of the safest banks and it took me ages to set up for her, but will she listen?

Oh well, I'm home now, I dont have to listen to her anymore... We're off to see the sexy firemen
