Great pics Andy, but why does Lina have a splint on her thumb?

Lina jammed her thumb the other day, nothing is broke, the splint was put on for a little added protection until the thumb heals.

Morning All, it's a little after 7am and I am just getting up(again). Been up and down most of the night. A combination of things happening that made for a restless night. I called out of work for today, just feeling out of sorts and not myself this morning. :sad2:

Karen great pics of Ellis on his birthday. Cherish these moments for they grow up way too fast. At times I wish Lina were 8 years old again, we had so much more control over her at that age. I know we have to let our kids grow up, but it is just so hard at times. We want to protect them from the "real" world, but they have to venture out there and find our what "real" life is all about on their own. Can you tell this dad is having a hard time of it today. My "baby" is now an "adult" and I'm having a hard time dealing with it. I knew the day would come, but it doesn't make it any easier. :sad1:

Those parents who have been through this stage of their children's life will understand, those who haven't, be prepared, your day will come, when you have to let your "adult child" grow up, and try to take the "world" on by themselves.

You're all like family to me!:grouphug:

I can't stay away... even though boo hoo:sad1: we're not coming along.

Will anyone sign up for the Alaskan cruise? I know I can talk Bob into that one!

Sign us up Rose! :thumbsup2

She'll do just fine Andy. She has good role models.

Becky, Rose, Heather and Andy, Thanks for all the great pictures. I'm with Karen, "Lots more please". :thumbsup2

******

I'm also not sure if I saw the picture in Andy's album or if Becky posted it from the 5 dayer, but what a great lanyard you had. Can someone post a close-up of that please?:)

Here you go MG, I just took a close up shot of my lanyard from our recent 5 day cruise. These lanyards were purchased by a group of DIS'ers from the 5 day cruise and were handed out to everyone in our group. We were known as the "Yellow Lanyard People" on the cruise..........:laughing

Hi Lori!:wave2:

We were thinking of you and Paige when we were driving through VA on the way home from Florida.
We stopped and stayed nearby in Fredericksburg for one night.

We also took a few wrong turns and wound up very close to Quantico and I was saying how Paige and Rob lived there.:)

It's too bad you didn't have our phone number! We would have liked to se y'all.:goodvibes Good luck to Sean in college. He'll be happy to have that young look when turns 40.:rotfl:

I like beignets when I go to New Orleans. Cafe du Monde. Beignets and coffee. wow are they great. Diane

:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

cool lanyard!

They are nice aren't they? I think Peter said he had something like 400 lanyards to give out. I think we had around 125 cabins represented in our group of DIS'ers as well.

Too cool Andy. :thumbsup2 I saw that the WB Repos had something like this too. :woohoo:

Great pics, Andy, Karen, and Becky. Keep them coming!

Thanks for all the kind words for my folks, y'all. Not to worry, they will be fine. They come from strong stock and have strong faith. Heck, I think my mom was already heading out to the furniture store to get new living room furniture.:rotfl:

Rose--it's nice to get an update from y'all. Don't be a stranger.:goodvibes

Ok, gang, I'm off for a busy day...bill paying....PTA meeting....Bunko....Godson's b-day......and the gym....not necessarily in that order.

Have a great day, and keep those pics coming!:thumbsup2

Good morning everyone! Thanks for sharing the pics. We have no more birthdays in our home until Elaine's birthday in December which is in the heart of our busy season. Usually we try to have lunch together on her birthday, or do something on Sunday...our least busiest of days. Three years ago, her birthday fell on a Sunday, so we were able to go to NYC together for the evening and see Rent. Last year I took her to see Wicked in Hartford a few weeks before her birthday. Hmmm can I convince her to go see Lion King this year??? She doesn't think she will like it.

Good morning all,

great pictures and a happy belated.

Just wait 19-22 goes even faster.

My oldest started is real job today. He was in the shower when I left so I didn't even get a picture. Off to the big bad world of CPA"S. He didn't want mom to make his breakfast or lunch.

After we get back from vacation he moves out in a week.

Just woke up from a little nap, slow morning here on the thread, eh? :rolleyes1

Just a quick check in - we have been without power here in Ohio since Sunday thanks to Ike. Hoping it is on by the weekend. Guess we now know what happens when a cat 1 storm hits Cincinnati!

WE WANTS THE REDHEAD!!!!

gret pics everyone!!!

OK, it's way past my bedtime, but I just wanted to say I loved all the pics (Rose and Becky) that were posted tonight. Rose I must say, Sean could pass for 14 or 15 easy, quite young looking for his age.

I have a few pics to post from Lina's 18th birthday dinner tonight.

Lina is holding her gift from her BFF Trish. Trish not only added these two pics of her and Lina, but she also wrote the poem that is between the two pics. Lina got all choked up and starting crying after reading the poem.

Andy, these are great!
What sweet friends Angelina has!

Wow her BFF wrote her a poem! I'm going to have to talk to my BFF!
Oops, I never wrote one for mine either:laughing:

Super cool!:cool1:

And yeah, Sean does look 14.
And on the same note..... people can't believe I have a son in college, and
I just love that too:) Bob looks older than me, but he's younger:laughing:
