Welcome back Joanne, can't wait to see some pics :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for posting the pics from your meet last night. :thumbsup2

Everyone looked like they had so much fun ::yes::

Unfortunately, the next DIS meet for us will be at the Radisson pool in a little over a year from now :guilty: But I am looking forward to it :cool1: :woohoo:
Yes for us too I think Cass. It should be a lot of fun. There is nothing much better than sitting by a pool in Florida.

It looks like I am the only one around, but I wanted to tell everyone I just booked the Radisson for 10/23/2009! LOL

I guess all of this talk about DIS meets got me excited. Last time we stayed at the Residence, but since we are all planning a meet, I thought we would join everyone at the Radisson. I am trying to remember how close the Budget office was to the Radisson. Was it walking distance?? That could be convenient to return the car and ride the Radisson bus to the port.

Christian, I believe it is within walking distance. :thumbsup2 I think Andy rents from Budget, returns his car and walks back to the Radisson to take the shuttle with Hazel and Lina.

Glad to see that you'll be joining the rest of us crazies at the Radisson.

great pics guys. glad everyone had fun.:grouphug:

no dis meets here in NE ohio.:sad2:

maybe robin and i will have our own little dis meet 2 weeks from next saturday.
:woohoo: :woohoo: :wizard:
If my parents still lived in Erie, we could have arranged to meet when we visited them, but alas they do not anymore. There are lots of nice restaurants in Erie!

Yes I seem to remember his trip reports indicating that he walked back from returning his car. Last time, I dropped off the family at the port, returned my car and rode the Budget shuttle back to the ship.

In regards to the Radisson, i requested a room close to the pool so that we are close to the action! I imagine despite an early morning most likely to catch a plane the kids will be up late swimming with all of the other DIS kids.

We are official- cabin 7619 with late dining.

Glad you're home and had a safe trip Joanne. I can't wait to see the pictures. I also updated my running BOBer spreadsheet with your cabin number. If anyone else wants to add that info onto that list just let me know. I'll have a pdf available (off site) closer to the cruise for all to have if they want.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Somehow I missed this story. Care to elaborate a bit?

Let's just say it was a case of mistaken identity ;) :rolleyes1 :lmao:

It is in walking distance Chris, but Rob always asks the guy to drop him off at the Radisson and they are always happy to oblige :thumbsup2

A lot depends on how hot it is that morning and how motivated I am to take a early morning walk in the Florida sun.

How far in advance does everyone typically make shuttle ressies? Since we are a large group, we may take all of the spots for the first shuttles!

On the member cruise it was crazy to try to get on and make Palo res. They booked up really fast on line. I actually gave my dinner reservation up to a couple that had never been. Our table was so much fun it I didn't want to miss a night with them.

We did do Palo brunch which of course was fabulous.

We are contemplating trying Palo this time. We are worried our kids will be upset eating in the Oceaneer's Club and Lab.

Is Palo really worth the experience???

And my favorite of the night...

For the BOBers who are staying at the Rad the night before, the shuttle will be already booked for you. Cheryl has been organizing this for us. She has arranged for us to have the 10AM shuttle for the BOBers but is trying to get an earlier one just for us. All this info is on the BOB site for you :thumbsup2

We will be skipping the Master Chef dinner (yuck :crazy2: ) in order to go to Palo. I am a plain eater, I like meat and potatoes and even I thought Palo was worth going to ::yes:: If you like fancy foods, then it is definitely a must!!!:thumbsup2

Ok, I just updated the Hotel Before Cruise Page on the BOB site.
I am adding "BOOKED" to your names if you have already booked your room at the Rad.

Andy, I assume you booked a room for your Mom and Walt when you booked yours....Cheryl, I assumed you booked your room as well. I also think that you booked your room as well Jeff and I think I remember Walt & Di said you booked your room.

If any of that is wrong, please let me know and I will change it. If you have already booked your room, please let me know and I will update the page accordingly.

Also let me know if you want your name removed from the list if your plans have changed (I believe this is the case for you Karen as you booked an extra night at your villa, correct?)

Just a few pictures for our 5th full day at sea:

Character Breakfast and DCL have gone back to the original format. Meet and greet at the table.

I didn't care for the night in Lumiere's. Of all of the meals that was my least favorite. French cuisine is not my favorite. I was surprised Elaine really liked the duck, but I just didn't care for it. I am sure I enjoyed a hearty snack somewhere on deck 9 that night!

I don't like the seafood night, no stinking beef entree! :headache: But it's my second fave dessert that night, the Amaretto Cheesecake so I think I will be stopping at Plutos for a dog and fries right before we go to dinner :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Heather, Jeff doesn't look too impressed here :rotfl2: :rotfl:

You notice that only the 5 of us made it to breakfast today. Think it was a late night for Jeff the night before.
