Ok, I am going to jump on also, have been lurking for some time, We actually booked this cruise while on board our last cruise, Oct 25,2008. Our first cruise which was wonderful, we met so many wonderful people on board form the DIS boards, which have become our lifelong friends! This made our first experience so wonderful (even though the weather was not cooperative) but we want to go again...Hi Dana and family:yay:Hi Sean and Christine:yay: We orginally planned to go without kids, but are going to get everyone going now including oldest daughter's boyfriend, so we should have fun.

I will enjoy planning over the next year or so with the rest of you, seems to be a big group of Dis'ers!

Hi, Tara. Welcome aboard!! If you will let me know who all are going, I will add everyone to our main cruise page. I am glad that there will be alot old friends onboard together. Should make for a very nice cruise, indeed.

Dana!

Tara & Mike!

Nice to see you joining us! DW and I haven't been around this thread much :headache: (need to start getting back) . But...it is due to planning our Free Dining stay this fall at the Beach Club. We'll have to go back to the roster, and see how many friends are returning on this cruise.

Sean

I think that there's a pretty good chance that we'll stay at the MCO Hyatt again. It worked out well for us last time. Nice to get the luggage and be right at the hotel. Especially with the flight delays last year. I swear they roll up the carpets in that airport around 8:45. We had 2 choices for dinner, as we were looking around 9pm: McD's or Orange Julius. Fries, milk, a juice was our entire dinner. Breakfast the next day at the Hyatt was much nicer.

OK I'm back and I have the Disney Blues so I am going to throw myself into planning for 2010. I have a question for those who plan to stay Friday night near the port.

Where do you plan to stay and why?

We are looking to drive this time. Your input is needed to help with my decision making. Well got to work on laundry. I will check back later. Lois

Bay Lake Towers because we are DVC members and BLT is our home base. Still debating renting a car VS Magic Express to and from Port.

Sean,
I got a pin code and just booked a trip next month for my birthday. I am frantically trying to book ADR's and plan. I have never booked a trip with such short notice and I am feeling out of sorts. BUT I will be meeting up with Suzie and Ed. (didn't I say I couldn't go months ago, Tara?)

Wow Dana! you did say that you would not be going so I am glad it worked out. I wish we were going, we had been planning on it for quite some time and would have been great to have part of the gang back together, but Shelby will be starting college on Aug 24th and the dates were not working. So you should talk Suzie to join us on this cruise too! Good luck with your planning for Disney it will all come together!

Sean and Christine are you also going to Disney next month?

Well as for the night before cruise, we were at the Country inn and Suites last time, we might try the Hyatt this time since I have heard many positive things about it. Will have to see. I was online looking at excursions today...wow I am not sure what we would like to do so many things sound interesting!

There is a resturant in the Hyatt that is open until at least midnight. Ran us about 15.00 per person but the food was good. Might want to check it out this next time.

What you hear is correct about thew Hyatt. We have stayed two or three times and it was always good. Very nice to be able to put your bags out that AM and not have to worry about them till you are ready to unpack. Lois

Good Morning! Hope all is well. Man I am really fighting a Disney ADDICTION!!! Now I am trying to see if I can add a week at WDW before this cruise. If I do that we will stay at the resort the night before rather than at the port. I just don't know what I want to do!!!! Lois

Our plans for before/after the cruise are still up in the air. We should have lots of DVC points available for a stay at WDW or Vero Beach. A lot hinges on whether or not we drive to Florida or fly. Still way too far off to know for certain just what our plans will be.

Found us on page two. I really must do a better job of keeping us on page one. Right now I am really trying to figure out how I can save enough money to add an additional week at WDW before this cruise. Yes I am nuts. That will be a full three weeks and at this point I do not even know if I can get that much time off from work. Time will tell. Lois

Just bumping up.

I don't know that my DH would like to go to WDW before our cruise. Even if he did, I don't think that he would be able to be off work for too long.

I know, I will go without him and just meet him on the ship :lmao:. Anyone have an extra bed in their room?

Not really just for kids. This is how ours worked:

Each DISer who is participating in the game received a spreadsheet and a magnet. On the spreadsheet we had all the participants and their cabin numbers listed. You started tagging the person listed directly underneath you on the list. You leave your gift in the FE (or behind the fish) and tag their door with the magnet. Now you wait until your own door gets tagged and gift is left behind. Each time you get tagged you take that magnet and a new gift and tag the second person under your name...etc...untill all the gifts are gone and you are tagging the person listed directly above you on the list now.

Example:

S Brenda cabin 1234
cntkg1 cabin 4321
JLDSMD cabin 5342
Walt & Di cabin 4624
etc

S Brenda takes her magnet and a gift and tags cntkg1's door. (me). Now she goes back to her cabin and waits until Walt and Di tag her door with a magnet and a gift. Once Walt and Di tag her, she takes the magnet that they left behind and a new gift and tags Jeff. You keep going until you reach the person who is directly above your name (In your case it would be Walt and Di because you're first). Get the picture?? :scared: Sounds complicated at first but it really is quite simple and tons of fun.

Now sometimes by the time you get back to your cabin you've already been tagged! Sometimes you wait until the next day to get tagged. We've had it where we were tagged 3 times by different DISers all at once. Our kids are grown but I understand some of our little DISers were all excited about the idea of a little gift waiting for them.

We tried to stick with smaller items but some folks got really extravegant.

Here's a link to a post I did awhile ago that has a lot of our gifts pictured.

I am NOT booked yet for this cruise but its looking pretty good for us. We were on teh famous Konked Kruisers trip in October 07 as well and my kids loved the Dis Tag game. it was so fun coming back to our room and finding gifts and then finding the next cabin to give the gifts too. I learned that you shoudlnt make them too big !!!

We are asking friends to come as well....working on 2 or 3 other families as well.

If we come - it will be the 2 of us plus 18 year old Neice, 11 year old Son, and 8 year old Daughter.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.....

Glad to have you aboard.
