Let us know if you'll be joining us! We are DH, DW, DS9 and DD5. This is cruise #6 for us and are traveling with our friends - DH, DW, DS9 and DD7! Hope to hear from you fellow cruisers real soon!

Hello! I just started a thread for our cruise, and then saw yours! I hate that.... oh well!

My DH and my step DD11 will be joining you and your friends!

My DH and I have been on DCL 4 other times and this will be DD11's first time! She couldn't be more excited!

Hi luv2tvl! Sure glad you found the thread. I was beginning to think that no one would. Sounds like you are hooked on DCL too! It looks like we just missed each other on a few of our earlier cruises! Are you combining the 3 day with a trip to WDW? We are spending a few days at the BWVs before the trip. We are excited. School starts next week and we are looking forward to this break in October! See ya soon!

We'll be on that cruise... Can't wait. Me 42 and friend from work 32. We are from south Ga, so a side trip down to Cape Canaveral has happened. Watched the Wonder leave and swam with a manatee... It was awesome...

Hi ladypoo! Glad to hear from you. What part of South Ga. are you from? I am originally from Athens myself. Is this your first DCL cruise? If so, you're going to get hooked like us! Swimming with Manatees sounds interesting. Where did you do that? Near Port Canaveral? See you soon!

Hey guys! I'm so glad to finally have people that are on our cruise! Makes it even more fun to find people that are actually sailing with us!
I'm jealous of you GA people! I had the pleasure of living in Savannah for one year a LONG time ago and absolutely loved it! Beautiful place (compared to Nebraska, anyway...)!
We definitely are hooked on DCL.... I'm acutally in the travel biz and have been on quite a few other lines, but we just keep coming back for more with the Mickey boat! :p

We are from Valdosta. We are both nurses at the local hospital. We took a few days in the middle of July and rode down to central Fla. We went to Mgmand then over to Cape Canaveral to watch the Wonder leave on a Thurs afternoon. While in Jetty park at he canal, a manatee came up and was plyingi n the area. He let us pet and scratch him. It was sooo neat. We watched the wonder leave, play with that manatee and also watched a rocket launch from the Space center.
We have to go down and get our disney fix regularly. :D

Trying to get us back to the front... Our time is nearly here.. Been working the last several days, so havent gotten over here. I keep running it through my head what still needs to be done.

I pulled this from another thread - looks like there is a new show on the Wonder that we will all be able to see...

The Golden Mickeys premieres aboard the Disney Wonder beginning Aug. 28 and coming soon on the Disney Magic. The show combines live-action theatre with film, video, music and colorful pyrotechnics in a toe-tapping salute to Walt Disney and his legacy of classic animated films. The most technically sophisticated stage show at sea, The Golden Mickeys is the newest performance in the line-up of original Disney musicals aboard the Disney Cruise Line®. This new, character-filled, musical review uses all the glitz and glamour of an awards show to honor the wonderful animated films and characters that have entertained millions for more than 75 years.

As if attending a distinguished Hollywood awards show, guests entering the 977-seat Walt Disney Theatre are treated as celebrities and given red carpet treatment lined with "paparazzi."
Once inside, this spectacular live stage show takes guests on a wonderful journey to celebrate comedy, romance, heroes and villains of Disney films.

We're under 60 days now!!! Anyone starting to get excited???

We're under 60 days now!!! Anyone starting to get excited???

Are you kidding me? :teeth: I can hardly stand it!
I just can't believe that we are within the 60 days. Man, this has snuck up on me.

Looks like we are it for this sailing.....

I am very excited to see Golden Mickey's! I'm sure it will top notch!

Okay everyone, we're less than a month away! Anyone getting excited??? Time to start packing and planning...

By the way, while we are on the ship the new Brother Bear movie will be making it's premier in NY and LA. I am hoping that we might see it premier on the Wonder as well... but maybe not since the general release is 11/1.

Anyone else joining us on this cruise??? We'd love to hear from you too!

What is everyone planning to do on their day in Nassau??? Has anyone booked an excursion? Anyone visited Atlantis? Is it worth it with kids ages 5, 7 and 9? [We are doing Blizzard Beach just prior to the cruise.] We are still considering it and may book a room at the Comfort Suites to have swimming privs for the day... Anyone done this?

hi - we're going to - me - my husband - and my daughter (13) & son (11) - it'll be our fifth cruise - we did inaugural on both the magic & wonder - and then three other times on the wonder - we're looking to go on the magic again - but we have to wait until we get enough time to do a whole week on the ship and time in wdw -

we're not going into nassau - we do the wine tasting - or games - or just relax - my husband said that the world series will be on at that time - so we're probably do daytime cruise activities so that we can watch the games at night -

well - hope to see you on board

kiddisney glad you found our thread. Sounds like you all enjoy DCL cruises just as much as we do! I am about where you are when it comes to Nassau - staying on the ship and enjoying every minute!

Is there anyone else sailing with us on this date?

We are down to 20 days now!!!

Welcome to our cruise Kiddisney! Glad you found us!

Time has absolutely flown by and I can't believe that we are leaving in 3 weeks!

I'm usually the same way about Nassau, too! This time we are taking my step-daughter, and since she's never been we'll be at Atlantis most of that day enjoying the resort! ::yes::

It's getting closer and closer. Are we getting more and more excited??? Yes, we are. We have our documents ready, birth certificates in order and travel arranged. We are going down for a quick trip next week to take my 3yo granddaughter to see Mittie Mouse .

We don't know where we are staying the night before, but plan on being at the port close to 1200. My brother lives down there and is going to take us to the port.
We have the glass-bottom boat tour planned for our Nassau(sp) day. Along with going to the Del Sol store, but that is about it.
We are going parasailing early the morning at CC. We are a bit nervous about that.
Can you tell we are getting excited???

We are leaving this afternoon as soon as the kids get out of school - for a week at the WDW - followed by the cruise. We are also going to MNSSHP on Sunday. Anyone else at WDW the next week?

I wish everyone safe travels and perhaps we'll see each other in line at the DCL terminal on 10/23! I'll try to wear my lime green mickey pin (courtesy Home Depot paint department).

Cheers!

Yea! More cruisers!!

My boyfriend and I will be on this cruise. This is his first ever cruise, this is my...umm...geesh. TECHNICALLY it's my third with Disney since I once cruised with them when they were on the Premier Cruise Line (aka The Big Red Boat). Last time I cruised with DCL was in October 1999; last cruise was with Carnival (yuck!) last October.

We're so excited! We were out last night looking for snorkeling gear, as he thinks that we're gonna become regular cruisers ;) This trip is also for badly needed "you and me" time, as I have a 2 year old from a previous marriage, and we never seem to be able to have time alone.

Where are you guys getting these green Mickey pins from Home Depot? I can honestly say that's the last place I'd ever think to look for something like that.

It also appears we're going to have beautiful weather next week...and for those of you who are coming to WDW (I live 5 minutes from it!), you're gonna have GORGEOUS weather here in Florida. Yesterday was a rare day where we only hit about 70 degrees, and it was slightly windy. It's not going to be blazing hot this next week (for once!), so it should be an enjoyable one!

After work, I'm heading to my 3rd round at Halloween Horror Nights this month, then Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens tomorrow. I'm so excited about this cruise, I have to do SOMETHING to keep my mind off of the clock!!

Oh...one question though...do you think it's better to have the CMs just press our shirts rather than run out and buy a garmet bag? I hate ironing, and I'd also hate to spend $30-50 on a garmet bag.

:hyper: We're almost there! This time next week, we'll be checking in!!:hyper:

Stepharoonie - we got ours for last April's cruise at the Home Depot paint department. They are actually paint chips for the Disney line of paints sold at Home Depot. Ironically we had a Home Depot employee on the cruise wearing them too! My wife glued a name tag pin on the back so we could attach then to our shirts - then those of DIS 'ers could find each other while in line at the terminal. It's great fun so stop by your local HD and ask for the alien green mickey paint chips (lime green seems to be the official color of the DIS 'ers and alien green is pretty close)!

We usually just take five mins, to iron our shirts in the ship self service laundry. They have irons and ironing boards set up and ready to use. Typically there are 1 or 2 laundries on each deck. I have never used the DCL pressing service but I think one might find them a bit expensive - but who cares you're on vacation, right?

See you next week! Just 7 days from now...

:wave2:

Hmm...I guess I can also use the Downy Wrinkle Releaser, too. It's great stuff, and you really don't have to iron as much when you use it.

Duh, Steph! You used it last year, and never needed to iron. I'm a big goof :) Hehehe :) And you can purchase it in small little bottles, too! :bounce:
