Speaking of shoes, for men, would Sperry type shoes be okay? The boat looking shoe with the laces? Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

They released VGT & OGT rates for our cruise, so I decided to do the math, as I've done both times VGT rates have been released on my cruise. The difference in fare is $116 & some change. Once you remove the $100 OBC (my rebooking OBC), that takes the savings down to $16 & change, and I go wherever DCL puts me stateroom-wise.
Yeah. $16 savings isn't enough for me to not choose my room![]()
Booking early still wins

I have asked my TA this, but I thought I would ask here and get opinions. We booked an ocean view in Mid-June when prices had gone up a few times (My next cruise I will remember the advice of Team "book early"!) Booking a VGT now it would be priced $510 less than what I paid. I know that there is a penalty for canceling now, but I am wondering if it would be worth it. Thoughts and opinions? I am not sure if I got an OBC or not, so I didnt figure that in.
Oh, Cindy. Too bad about the cruise but think of all the excitement of the wedding and planning, etc. You were very nice to us. Many thanks for that. We will toast you on the ship. Maybe some day again we will meet.
Have a great birthday cruise and early happy b'day to you.
Bye for now,
Gerry & Jack

You can wear a nice pair of sandals, I'd just avoid the birks and the flips, personally. Even most women's dress shoes now days are not fully "closed-toe". Most of my shoes for dinner are more like dressy sandals than they are like pumps.
