10/2/2011 Disney Dream 4nt

we're doing 3 days in the parks prior to the cruise.

also, just wanted to mention i read (Somewhere) that the food and wine fest wasn't happening next year (boo).

Where will you be staying? We will be at the POP century resort.

Time is just flying! I am so excited! My two DD's are always talking about muckey and the ship.

How was everyone's holidays?

I have noticed people doing a b2b cruise with us on the 2nd of october. Will we be including them in our FE list as well?

Hi all!

Just booked this cruise for hubby & I for our 8th Anniversary! We ended up using some of our DVC points and are staying in a category 5E stateroom. This will be our first (of many to come) cruise without our kiddies! We are soooo excited! Since neither of us has been to Nassau, we are looking for some tips on what to do at that port. We are thinking of doing the Atlantis excursion which is not too expensive at $80 pp. That is without the waterpark option. Adding that in would be $160 & that is outrageous!

Anywho, so glad to be planning another Dis Cruise!

You can actually do Atlantis on your own very cheaply. It is very close to the port (you can see all of it from the ship). We paid for the excursion our first time, but I would not do it again.

COOL! Once you take a cab to the resort, can you just walk in and explore? Can you use the Resort beach? We just want to be able to explore the resort fully & relax at a safe beach. That is the only reason we were thinking of doing the excursion.

I think you can definitely walk into the hotel. However I seem to remember you needed a wristband to access their beach. Still I think it would be much cheaper to buy it from them than the excursion. I would check out their website for sure.

I thought Atlantis was cool, but severely overpriced.

Hello everyone!

So I want to share some exciting news...my two nieces are coming on this cruise with us!! So we are now a party of 4. This will be our first time cruising with kids, got lots to learn about kids clubs now!

Where will you be staying? We will be at the POP century resort.

we'll be at the contemporary in a bay tower suite with 6 adults and three children!! we're very excited!

i think we're at 239 days now from our arrival in florida!!

I am joining to thread for information. I sail with Yensid1222.
Will be on the cruise with my two granddaughters ages 5 and 3.

Just popping in to say "HI" to all the newcomers! This thread is really growing! I think we are going to do Atlantis on our Nassau day. We've only done Caribbean and not Bahammas, so I'm excited about it.
I've noticed there are lots of first time cruisers signing up...if anyone has any questions, just ask. I'm sure there are lots of people on here with the answer you are looking for. :thumbsup2

Just booked this cruise and can't wait. Been on other cruises, but this will be our first Disney cruise! We will be taking our 3 youngest children: DS (13) - DD (9) - DD (6). We are in room #8130:)

It just hit me the other day that the day before we sail will be WDW's 40th Anniversary.

Unfortunately, we have to change our sail date to Oct 16. Our school system decided to announce today that they were changing the calender next year. This calender has been the same since my son started school and he is an eighth grader. I have been scrambling all afternoon moving the cruise and the wedding. Putting things off by two weeks is not what we want to do but we have to.

And it is costing $800!!!!! because the kids had to be put in a verandah room plus the price for our room went up some too.

DH and myself are now booked on this cruise. This is our second Disney cruise and third one already booked, the 5 night on the Dream for Jan 2012 with DS (21) and DD (19).

We were only doing Food & Wine festival in Oct...but decided to splurge and book the Dream too, especially since, last night I was able to book a cat. 11C GTY. for a very reasonable price.

So we will be happy with what ever cabin/cat. we end up with.

Oct. 1 we will be at the BCV...doing Food and Wine...then 4 nights on the Dream...then back to the BCV for another 3 night of Food and Wine.

So excited!!!! Great way to celebrate 28 magical years together!
