This might be a long post, but here's some info on us before the report.
DH and I invited his mom, dad and sister to join us for our trip to WDW for MNSSHP. They haven't been to WDW since '95 so there's alot of new stuff they haven't seen. They're in the process of selling their house in Queens to move upstate NY. They've been pretty stressed out because of the sale, so we wanted to bring them to the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH

We got up at 6AM on Friday, so we can run some last minute errands before we leave. Thank goodness we took the day off, we had more to do than we imagined!
By 7PM, I'm ready to fall on my face and knock out...but against by better judgement, I decided to stay up. Told DH to go to sleep since he has to drive out to Queens, NY to pick up his family. We needed to get up at 2AM to get ready and leave our house by 3AM.
While he was snoring away
, I'm roaming the DIS boards to stay up and watching Good Will Hunting (my yummy crush=Matt Damon
) and drinking all the coffee my coffee maker can keep up with.
By 2AM, I start to get ready and wake DH up. We're out the door by 3AM, it's dark out and it's FREEZING, but I didn't care, I just wanted to get to WDW already!
We get to my in-laws by 3:45AM, they're all dressed and ready, thank goodness! We stayed for some more coffee
, then it was off to JFK for our 6AM flight.
We were actually running a bit late due to JFK's wonderful construction on their roads, so instead of parking at long term, we threw the car at regular parking near our departure gate. ($24 a day instead of $10....how convienient.
)
Who cares, we're going to WDW. We checked out bags, and went to our gate, everyone is in good spirits, we're all so excited...we didn't care what time it was, or how cold it was outside.
SIL is afraid of flying, so we're trying to chat w/ her to keep her mind off the fear. Seems to be ok for now.
We board our plane and I plug in my headphones and try to catch some ZZZZ since I hadn't slep in 24 hours!
No luck, I didn't get to sleep a wink, I'm TOO tired at this point, and as much as I think Jet Blue is great with their roomy seats, I can't seem to get comfortable. DH ordered me some animal crackers for my now nausaus stomach.
Anyhoo, we land and we all go downstairs to get our bags. We didn't tell his family, but we ordered a limo from FL Tous, it cost only a little more than a van so why not? When we met our driver outside, they were so happy to see the limo.
The weather was beautiful, it must have been like 85 degrees, BIG difference from our 45 degrees back home.
We pull up to POR and I'm so nervous...this is our first time ever staying at POR. DH and I have always stayed at WL, but b/c our budget a bit more tight (we didn't want his family to pay for anything) we used our AP codes and got 2 rooms at POR.
But when we unloaded and walked into the lobby, DH and I were blown away...it was so pretty! Very southern, like the plantation theme. At check in, the CM was so sweet.
I had requested the mansion section per fellow DISers recommendations.
and the rooms weren't ready yet so we checked our bags and off we went to Animal Kingdom!!!

Ok, I gotta get some sleep, weekend is over, back to work for us in the morning...will complete the report tomorrow. Thanks for visiting!!!
