Strange: On the main page it say 'Last post by RAE519', but there's no such post ??????

We had about 2 inches of snow today and traffic collapsed completely. Usually I drive 20 minutes from work to the gym. As I had a conference call with a colleague from Denver I left office at 415pm. Our Badminton started at 515pm. As I anticipated some congestion due to the powdery precipitation I asked Anja to take the bus to the Gym, which is only a 5-minute ride, instead of picking her up at home. Traffic got so bad, that Anja walked 1.5 miles to the gym - and I needed 1 hour and 20 minutes to get there.
Anf for tomorrow the forecast predicts 8-10°C/43-50°F, which is a 12°C/21°F leap from today temps - It's a weird world, isn't it?
Going to bed now, I don't trust the weatherguy and expect having to dig out our car tomorrow

I'd love to host a Mid-West meet. Problem is, since I haven't BEEN to one, I have no idea what's involved (probably the best person for the job, then, huh?).

Avé--I'd love to take your 7-year-old boy, unfortunately, I have a 10-year-old boy that sounds identical. If I could unload one, then I could take the other. But heck if I can take two!

Also, would love to plan FL Cookie Night--at Christmas 2005? Could we find a time that airfare isn't quite so expensive? They seem to go nuts at holiday time.

I've had trouble posting a couple of times. Seems I type & type, hit submit post, and the computer goes nowhere. Gotta love the new technology!

To all the Amazing Race fans: I didn't realize it was going to air earlier last night and ended up missing the first 15 minutes or so. What happened at the airport with the father/daughter team that made Jonathan so upset? And what's with the "to be continued"?....I don't ever recall them doing that before.

I would absolutly LOVE to host a Cookie Party next year. What a GREAT idea!
By next Christmas my house will be built, furnished and broken in. LOL .......Rellingtwin will be here by then, so she can help too! ...........Since it is off season, room rates are very reasonable. And between me and Mary, we could put up several people.

Hmmmm... cookie night in Florida. No offense but somehow it just wouldn't quite be the same. It was a bright brisk cool beautiful day for the drive to and from New Hampshire and there was even snow on the ground in spots. Definitely helped get us in the holiday mode. Happily, not snowing at the time of travel!

.... But we have to get Bette and Kim to come down a few days early to help with the preparations since I have no clue what happens at Cookie Night, except that it involves cookies.......

"A few DAYS early"?! Better make that a month or two early!! LOL!
But then again, Cookie Night in Florida would be done YOUR way and that way would most definitely be unique and fun too!!!

Mini-meet this Spring: When I find out for sure the dates we will be in Washington DC I will post them. I'm thinking end of June, but nothing is set yet.
Maybe I Can get through 2005 without a cruise, as long as I have cruisers to party with!........

Speaking of meets, family rumor has it that there will be another wedding in Florida in 2005, most likely in the Spring again. However, I understand the bride recently moved to the panhandle area (previously of Jacksonville). Not sure where wedding will actually take place or even IF it will take place but perhaps we can possible attend a SPRING Florida Cookie Night!!! LOL

Everyone can keep the snow. We had a light dusting on Sunday night and that is enough for me.

Cookie night in Fl sounds like fun.

Mary--- So you are not moving back into your house (which Ave is currently in)? Is it going to be a rental? I hope all the pieces fall into place for you.

Jeanne-- I also didn't know that Amazing Race was going to be on at 8pm so I missed the first 20 minutes. I looked on the internet to find out what I missed. Apparently the Father and Daughter team bought their airplane ticket at a travel agent instead of the airline ticket office so they got the last seats. Apparently we have to wait 2 weeks for the continuing episode since next week is a recap. Jonathan has to go. I saw he and Victoria were on ET saying it was just part of the game and editing. Yea right. Where did they get those awful cars?

I found tons of 'message not delievered' notifications in my Yahoo.
Do I have to resend it to everybody?

I've had my Yahoo! account for ages. In the last year, all of a sudden, every day, I get tons of "message not delivered" or some such saying emails. Thing is, I hardly ever anymore use the Yahoo! account to SEND messages from. Only to receive messages.

At first I thought a virus somehow accessed the account and was sending out spam to everyone in my address book but no one has ever complained to me about it. I think what it really is is spam coming INTO the account. Most of it goes into the junk bulk mail folder. The ones that do not, I just delete without opening.

The wonders of technology.....

Oh, BTW, I got the list. It was great!!! Thanks mucho! I love the holiday logo!

I made two pies tonight. Party at work tomorrow. I will have to make four more pies by Saturday....... I should be wrapping gifts right now..... I SHOULD have called my Sister in Nebraska to thank her for sending us a beautiful floral arrangement for Christmas as their way of thanking us for letting them stay here recently...... I should, at least, wrap my Secret Santa gift for the party tomorrow......

Nope, don't feel like doing any of that!

Glad Fiona and Jim and Tracy and Bill arrived at their respective homes safe and sound.

Sorry Peter and Jen had computer problems.

Need to spruce up the place before Christmas Eve too. And I KNOW I have a ton of laundry to do also!

At least my gift shopping AND grocery shopping is all done... finally! I think....

Missed Amazing Race last night as we were out shopping. Who was eliminated? or was it a non-elimination round?

Am hopefully finished work after today til January 3rd. Might pop in next week to clean up my office but only if I feel like it. Nothing pressing is happening so will just relax for a bit.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. We had a company "party" today. We go in for about 3-4 hours and get paid for the whole day. They give us breakfast and have Santa and Mrs. Claus there giving out gifts to the kiddies. There was also a face painter and animal balloon maker so Haley was very busy today. We were out of there by 11:30. Then it was off to Lenny's work for his Christmas party. We just got home a little while ago, and Haley is taking a much needed nap since she's been awake since 7:30 am.

The best thing is that I'm off from work until Tuesday.

Temperature dropping in FL! It was a beautiful day today, got into the 60's. But the temp is now going down, down, down. The forecast is for a "winter mix of precipitation on Christmas". Which has a lot of people thinking SNOW. To me it sounds like freezing rain. We'll see.
I hope everyone enjoys thier time off. For anyone traveling, be careful, and buckle-up.
I am working at job #2 tomorrow and Sunday, but I do have off on Christmas Day! We will go to my father-in-law's for opening presents, and a big Christmas breakfast. Then home to rest and play, then back again in the evening for some deep fried turkey with all the trimmings! And looking forward to next week when twin sister and family come for a visit.

Got To Love the Banks of Course they Cant explain it.. But Will Look into it. but the good Thing is we Get The money back Fairly Quickly..

and The New Cards got Mailed to Our old address... We Moved 3 Years Ago.. But I Recieved The dispute Papers in the mail today how Does that work ??

So The New Cards Had To Be Canceled and New New Cards Sent out To Correct Address...
