Hi Guys, Kim here...

Count me in the group for computer troubles. My computer will be 6 yrs old in March, ( what a dinosaur) and it is realllly acting up. Hopefully it lives for a couple more months and then we have to bite the bullet and get a new one.
Good luck Renee'....

Amy, hope everything comes together for you.

Rosemary... Do you need to bring cookies ???? Nah.... this is not your
"normal" cookie party.
However, if anyone who comes up to cookie night (day) passes thru NYC and would like me to love them forever, I adore Salt bagels and those bright green pickles at the deli's...YUM YUM. I have been on a pickle kick for months and can eat a jar of those babies every couple day.

I will post a link this weekend for directions to the house for those who have not been here before...

Ave, great news from Mass General and I will e-mail you later this weekend.

Back to work,

Bye, Kim

And Just What Exactly is that Suppose to Mean... Please do Tell ??

Good luck with the bids Peter. Great talking to you last night Cathy, and good luck with the kitchen remodeling. We helped Katie's little family get moved into their house yesterday. Still a ton of small stuff to get moved.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Mike

What a hoot!!! We went to PA yesterday and had a mini-meet in Walmart with Goofynut (Kathy and Art). It was so much fun.

Rich saw them first and called out to Art who recognized him right away but Cathy was initially not sure who Rich was and when she finally realized who he was, said she didn't recognize him in long sleeves. Rich said "Oh! you didn't recognize me with clothes on?" Which she evidentally agreed with and repeated loudly for other shoppers to hear! (When story relayed to nephew-in-law he teased me stating that "see, I told you that even after 30 years, there is a whole side of Rich you don't know about"). Anyway, I then come around the corner right after they met and could not believe who I see Rich talking with!! It was so funny and so nice at the same time.

And then,THEN, Cathy grabs a tall stranger and insists he takes our picture in the middle of Walmart with her camera That really wouldn't have been so bad except the poor guy had an injured hand!! But indicative of the friendly people of Pennsylvania, he cheerfully took shots with Cathy's camera and ours as his family stood by watching with humor at the strange people wanting pictures of themselves in the produce department of WallyWorld (as our good friends from Tennessee call the store)!

Guys, we miss you and can't wait to see you again!! :boat:

Rosemary, Richard, Art & Cathy,
that must have been great to run into each other so unexpectedly.

We'll have a Mini-Meet planned for next weekend: We'll visit the other Germs, who live about 140 miles northwest of us. Anja will do some horsebackriding there and then we'll visit one of our famous Xmas-markets. This one is located in Germany's best and most beautiful mall. We'll spend the night in a hotel adjacent to the mall and the next day we're going to visit Anja's Auntie & Uncle, who also live up there.

OMG!! What a fun time for tulirose and goofynut!!!!! Don't ya just love when that happens!!!! :cool1:

SO glad this weekend is over. Worked Sat and Sun by myself, (there are supposed to be 2 nurses on each shift.) Read non-stop running! But DH surprised me. When I got home Sat. he had cleaned the house, did the laundry, and made dinner. Today when I got home he had decorated the house with Christmas lights, and set out our holiday decorations. We will wait a little longer to get a tree. We get a real one each year, love the smell, hate the needles.

Ave,

Just sent you a PM

Bye, Kim

P.S. Hi everyone !!!

Hi, all!
Seems like forever since I had time to post and I'm so behind.

Amy- So sorry about your job, especially right before the holidays. Hopefully, something good will come up for you.

Renee'- Good luck recovering all of your data from the old pc. I know what a pain that is.

Rosemary, Rich, Art & Cathy-- Too cool about the unexpected meet! Love it! If it had been me, I wouldn't have had my camera with me at Walmart.

I have to agree with you all on the teens driving. DD came in from work one night, just steaming mad that she couldn't get the car parked out on the street behind my van. Seems she had hooked the bumpers.... and didn't even realize it! Thank goodness those days are behind us, till we get to start all over again with Josh in about 5 years.

Wishing Katie and family many happy times in their new house! How exciting!

The kids had to take our poor little Becca to the ER yesterday afternoon. She's had a little cold for a few days, but when Jen picked her up after work yesterday I told her she really needs to watch her closely and possibly call the phone nurse because she seemed much worse when she got up from her nap right before Jen got here. She seemed wheezy and having a hard time breathing. Anyway, she's having bronchial spasms. Xrays came back good, they did some kind of inhalation therapy in the ER also and she's on several meds. Hope the little sweetie feels better soon. Gave us all quite a scare to have her feeling so bad.

Almost time for our weekly family AIM chat and I have a load of clothes to fold first, so I'm off and running.

Anyone else feel lost without being able to preview post?

Take care, all.

Colleen

Wow, this weekend went by so fast. I know have most of my shopping finished and wrapped. Why does it look like you don't have alot until you start to wrap everything. Even Norm went out and did his shopping.

Now for the highlight of my weekend was the Clay concert on Saturday night. First off the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is an awesome place to watch a concert, we were up in the upper balcony and still could see everything, I don't think there is a bad seat in the entire place. You could really hear his beautiful voice. He put on a very classy concert including the symphony, a local children choir and another local teenage choir. What an honor for those children to sing with Clay, plus the little children did some reading. This concert was so different from the summer ones, which had Rock Clay. As Simon would say Clay you are too Broadway, but after watching this concert I could see Clay in a Broadway musical. Norm survived and actually there were alot of middle aged couples at this show so he fit right in. It was a great way to spend a Sat night and get in the Christmas mood.

So Peter hope you and Jenn enjoy it. Looking at that schedule, you are not doing a local concert so much have a trip planned in the future. I'm sure we will survive CBR, it is just my least favorite of the moderates. Good luck with getting the new job.

Ave--- Not only are you Beach Babe, but you must be a big Usher fan since he is your avatar. I like Ushers music, I have his Confession CD. Plus he has quite the 6 pack ABS.

That is so funny that Rose, Rich, Art and Cathy ran into each other at the Wal Mart. Cathy and Art must have needed a break from all the kitche update work at home. Maybe when you are finished you can head down to my place. Both my kitchen and bathroom need updated.

Colleen--- What a cute picture.

Later, Avé

Ave,
we did our xmas-deco last week: The Santa Mark made, and the ornament Casey made are set up again.

On Saturday a made a reservation for some dives in Thailand: We will do two dives at Shark Point, where we will dive with Leopard Sharks, which are quite large (~6-8feet), but harmless. And we will probably make another two at a wreck site later that week. It's only four months to go!!!

Hi Everyone,

Well the good news is that I was able to remember how to get to DOS and copy all my files that I wanted to a CD. Then I decided I would use the System Restore CDs from Gateway that came with the PC 4 years ago. I couldn't believe it when they worked! I have never had restore CDs that actually fixed the problem. Anyway, the PC is up and running just like when we bought it 4 years ago. Guess the hard drive didn't crash after all, but I still don't know what happened. :confused3 All I know is I kept getting the blue screen of death saying that the hard drive was missing files and corrupted. :earseek: Oh well, it's fixed now. Looks like I didn't have to spend the money on a new PC afterall, but that's ok. Lenny is going to take this one and use it and I'll have the new one all to myself :teeth:

Reneé

Good to hear that your computer-problem is solved, Renee - Although this sounds suspiciously like a trick: Crashing your PC, getting a new one, then repairing the old one and handing it off to Lenny pirate:

There'll be an update of The List very soon: I'll do it during the weekend before xmas. Deadline for entries for that issue is December 18th, noon EST.
Reason for the update is the addition of Alikat99 and Okwmiester :Pinkbounc :jumping4: and the removal of Jill & Tim :guilty:
