Sorry Kathy double posted and board will not let me delete one. Mike

Well, I was trying to post a reply to Eric's comment for buying a video camera.

Cathy, want to go in half on a water cannon?:teeth:

Whhhhooooohhhoooo! That is the sound of happiness! We have working internet at our home now with that new computer! No more sneaking around at work or fighting the college students for a computer at the library!

Just had to share.....

With all the talk of new computers, we jumped in and are getting a new one too. Actually it's being delivered tonight so I'll lose DH to his home office for a few days :p

Looks like tomorrow would be a good day to get out of work, though it's not going to happen. I work right up near the state Capitol and John Kerry is coming for a rally and bringing Bruce Springstein and the Foo Fighters with him. They are already starting to close down streets. In 2000 Al Gore did the same thing and it was chaos for those of us who just wanted to get home.

Tracy

Congratulations Jill and condolences Tracy. When Al Gore used to come here for visits it was a mess trying to get around.

I am sick and tired of all of the political ads and news on the tv. Enough already. Do like Canada and limit it to 6 weeks. No matter who gets elected we will get the screw. This coming from someone who has already voted. Mike

Good morning, all!

I tried getting DS registered to post on the Cruistoberkids thread, but he's under 13. There's a link for a different form for under 13, but when I click on it, it either takes me right to the same page or to a blank page.
Can anyone help?

He's got his own email account, so as soon as I get him set up on the DIS, we can email his info for the cruise.

Thanks!
Colleen

Kathy ... The "arsenal" is safely packed away ;) ... will just hae to get some "Generals" to coordinate things around the other CC activities!

BTW ... YooHoo Boston Peter, How about them Red Sox! Bad news is that they will have to batten down the hatches in Boston so things don't get out of hand again.

Mike,
I knew I liked you when we met! You just summed up the entire process. And like you, we voted early (absentee ballot) - saves us from having to deal with the "supporter gauntlet" at the polls.

We are all very excited to be with you folks again for this cruise - I can't believe that it will be 4 years since we've seen eachother. I am thinking of doing the parasailing at CC - big, brave Rae here!
After Andy and his daughter did it and survived, I think Michael and I can also! I am trying to talk them and our other cruising buddies (Paul and Kaye) to join with us on the next two Octoberfest cruises. Hey, why mess up a good thing when you got it!

And believe me, your group does have it!!!!

Rae

Go Redsox!

I'm tired of the US election and we don't even live in the US! They talk endlessly about here because no one knows if it will make a difference who's elected in terms of opening the border for beef and other such issues. Thankfully our election campaigns are limited to I think 36 or 41 days. That's long enough.

Jim is talking about getting a new computer and is looking but it hasn't been purchased yet. Congrats to all that have new ones.

Was rainy and yucky here this morning. It's supposed to get better this afternoon but we'll see. Most of the leaves have changed colour but we are still waiting for them to all fall off so that we can rack. Yeah!!!

Must get back to work as don't want to stay late yet again.

Fiona

Got the email Eric -- and yes, ok, I realize Marianne's email address is there but I obviously wasn't thinking at the time -- overworked and underbrained at times.

Sent you an email Bette.

Hi Folks,
after two days of staying home due to an upset stomache I will work again tomorrow. I ´guess Anja brought home some nasty bugger from the hospital as some of her coworkers suufered from the same last week.

Mike,
If I get myself a videocamera I will surely also get an underwater housing :teeth:
And if Cathy uses her arsenal as she did this year, I won't lose any sleep about it anyway pirate:

Jill & Tim,
congrats on the new puter. I'm also thinking about a new one, but will wait until spring, because a new generation of puters will be introduced then, sporting a brandnew mainboard architecture.
And with 240 Gigs of harddisk-space, two CD-burners and a DVD-burner mine is still coping very good. It will be three years old in April, but I upgraded it a couple of times.

Monday I got the underwater-housing for the digital camera, certified down to 100 feet. Now I only have to get the matching cam ;)

Bump! We were getting too far down on the cruise meets board so I thought I'd move us up a little closer to the top. Two more days to work and I am retired.

On behalf of Ciara and the Lakewood High School Marching Band, thank you all for your good wishes.

Ciara wishes she could get to the computer to thank you all herself, but between band and her studies, time is a precious commodity these days.

While I encourage her particiapation in band, her grades are not allowed to suffer, I know its a hard line, but academics still come first. Luckily, she's an overachiever and is much harder on herself than I could ever be. Sometimes I have to tell HER to lighten up.

Again, thanks for all your good wishes and support. I'll keep you posted as to how we do in our upcoming competitions.

Two more days to work and I'm tired

I can imagine how you feel, Jeanne. My Dad is going to retire next spring and he already has a tailor's meter hanging over his desk. This is a German custom: As soon as you're 100 days shy of i.e. leaving military service or of retirement, you have one of those and just cut off a centimeter a day to see your progress. I think he already cut off 10 centimeters ;)

Ciara,
congrats from me & Anja as well. I somehow must have missed it on the thread, sorry.

WOW!
I can't believe I missed this thread!

DH and myself will be celebrating our 5-year anniversary with a vow renewal onboard the 10/14/06 Magic. We are now expecting our first baby, so he/she should be almost 1 1/2 by that time. We've invited numerous family and friends, but none have booked yet. They just 'don't get' the early booking discounts! LOL

We are currently booked for CAT4 8520 (? -- I think that's the number LOL) and early dining.

This will be my 4th Disney cruise and DH's 3rd. We are so excited!

HI EVERYONE!

Congratulations Jean on your impending retirement. I only wish that I too was able to retire but there are too many years to think about to even count them. I can only hope that I someday win lotto so I can retire early and enjoy life while I'm somewhat healthy. Of course you have to be in it to win it but.....
