Jean---- So sorry to hear that your mother is not doing well. I hope that despite what is happening to her that you can still enjoy your stay at WDW.

Jeanne, Eric and Anja--- Safe travels to all of you. So sorry I didn't get to meet up with you in NYC.

Happy Birthday Anja :bday:

Hope that Sam will soon feel better.

My sciatia feels a little better today. I don't have time for this. Conference is next week and then WDW. Hope to rest over the weekend. If drugs don't work will try alchol.

I think the rain is going to end here on Saturday. We thought we would try to get a quick trip to Williamsburg, but between my pain and the weather we are not going. Maybe sometime in Nov.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Nancy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANJA!!!

Jean, so sorry to hear about your mom. I too, hope that you will be able to enjoy your trip.

DVCLady...didn't think about adding the REAS to the cruise, but maybe we will! The boys will have one room and we will have our own room! Just 'cause we have a connecting room doesn't mean we HAVE to leave the door open! I will have to look into that more. It might be a nice treat!

Nancy, glad to hear you are feeling better! I had a chiropractor appt this am, so I am feeling pretty loose right now...we'll see what tomorrow brings...besides 8 loads of wash and a house that needs picked up!

Have a good night ya'll!

Ooohh it is truly a special feeling to be part of the list!

DH said ok for patches. He will also see what he can round up for whomever.

It was a beautiful day here. It would have been nice to be able to play out in it rather than work indoors. I did get out at lunch for a bit of a stroll and enjoyed that. Sorry for those east with all the rain. Perhaps taking it a bit further east and just dropping it in the "pond" along the way might work.

So sorry about your Mom, I hope you are able to find a way to enjoy that trip you have planned for so long with no guilt. I am sure it has been difficult and you could use a little break.

Hi EVERYONE! So sorry I have been absent for so long. My new job with it's new hours and no internet at work has played havoc with my "surfing". I have been feeeling very "cruiseless" the last week as anniversary dates of past cruises have come and gone. I played the "Capt. Marvin" Sting Ray City DVD tonight from 2004 and marveled how how little the kids looked!
Since today is one year from our next cruise I have made a resolution to read/post everyday from now until we sail!
Eric and Anja, I am SO GLAD you have enjoyed my home city. There is nowhere in the world like New York City, and I wish I could have joined you and the rest of the gang for a "Big Apple" party. Reading the details of the trip have made me SO homesick! Bagels and Chinese food (not to mention pizza) Broadway and Lady Liberty (Although, as a New Yorker I never visited Liberty Island, because that's what the tourist do!!)
We are planning a trip to Charleston for the Thanksgiving holiday. I miss Charleston in the worst way!The new bridge is opened and I can't wait to see it.
Hello to all the new cruisers I may have missed in my absence. You have joined a wonderful bunch of people, I am privledged to call my friends.

JUST 52 weekends from now we will be enjoying each others company! I know from 5 years of this, that the year will go very quickly!

Much Love to everyone!!!!!52 weeks and counting! :Pinkbounc

Good to hear from you, Mary :wave2: We sent George W. his usual postcard, we hope he isn't disappointed about getting one from his own country ;) We really enjoyed NYC, but we wouldn't want to live there. Frankfurt is a quaint little village when compared to it ;)
Tonight we had Chinese food again: We went to a nice place with Bette & Kim and Peter & Jenn to celebrate our birthdays. Afterwards we had strawberry shortcake ate P&J's house. We packed this afternoon and so tomorrow we'll just have a nice little stroll through one of the malls nearby and around 6pm the Bostonians will drop us off at Logan for the flight back to Europe. As we're flying via Reykjavik again we can shop duty-free twice ;) But as neither of us smokes nor drinks, there's not much use in it :earboy2: Perhaps we'll add another watch to our collection as we still have some greenbacks left - We'll see.

Mechelle,
I'll inform my cop friends in Frankfurt to get something for your DH. What's 'wogging the marathon'? Is it like walking and jogging at intervals?

Michele,
you'd better not tell about your DSs being alone in a cabin upon check-in. As far as I know DCL doesn't like minors to stay in a room for themselves. But if they don't know, who cares ;)

Less than a year yo go - and in 49 weeks we'll already be back in the US of A  :Pinkbounc :bounce: I still hope that I'll have to go to Denver again perhaps next year, but my company cut down the travel budget in favour of video- and phone-conferences. Anyway I spent enough time in aircraft this year: Anja and I already did about 25 to 30.000 miles this year :earseek:

Ooops,
that was me posting as Jenn and Peter :rotfl2:
Now I know how it is for Ave & Mary (Junior) :rotfl:

Eric and Anja, Have a safe flight home and I hope you both had wonderful birthdays here in the USA.
We are looking forward to visiting your "village"!
George W willl love the postcard from you, no matter where it is from!

Happy belated birthdays to Eric and Anja. Have a safe flight home. Good to see you posting Mary.

Yes, you got it! I coined the term Wogging last year when I was training for the WDW half this past January. I will be doing it twice over for the my first full marathon and going for my Mickey medal. Not sure if I will make it or not, but I am going to try.

I'm going to Florida! I'm going to Florida! WHOOOO HOOOO!!!!!! :cool1:  :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :bounce: :jumping1: :thewave:
We FINALLY traded our week of timeshare and got another. Since we waited so long, we ended up at Seasons Resort. I can not find ANY reviews on it on the internet. It looks like it was bought by the Westgate family of resorts (who we own with) but if you look at the Westgate site, it doesn't show it as thier property. It is a 2 bedroom with a full kitchen with washer and dryer. This is going to be a "cheap" vacation, so I guess I will be cooking dinner. I think I might even take my crockpot. That would be the easiest thing. I think we are going to do one REALLY nice meal out...either Chef Mickey's or Ohana's, or Boma's....well, anything at a Disney resort. I have to get my "fix"! :teeth: Besides, I promised the boys a ride on the monorail....Connor requested the front seat. We'll do! :earsgirl: Man, I just checked the calendar...we leave in only 5 weeks! YIKES! I am usually half packed by now!! LOL Man, I am such a HUGE planner....I have got to start getting things layed out and planning meals, and, and, and...... :goodvibes I am so very excited now!

Tiger Lilly!!! I forgot to ask...What part of Cleveland are you located in? I was born and raised in Bay Village. Mom and Dad still live there! Steve was born and raised in North Ridgeville. Can't wait to get to know you better!

Have a great day everyone! I have a TON of planning to do!

Good for you, Michele! Happy to hear that you are going to WDW soon. I fly down there tomorrow morning with my best friend. Poor Sam has to stay home and cat-sit.

Congrats on landing your trip. Are you going to be down when the big group of DISer will be there? We live south of Cleveland in Broadview Heights. (That's between Brecksville and Parma) Born and raised in Cleveland proper oh quite a few years ago...

We had much :sunny: :sunny: here today. It was a great day to get outside and DS and I did 6 miles on our trails. I am planning for the WDW marathon this January (my first marathon) DS will be doing the half. The critters were out and I even managed a few pics.

The Germs are back :wave2:
We spent two fabulous weeks In Boston, New Hampshire and New York. It's so much more fun to stay with friends. This way we've seen things in the States the average tourist will most probably never see.
And we definitely could not ask for better hosts!!!

Welcome Home to Eric and Anja! I am glad to hear your trip was a success!!

Tiger Lilly, I know just where you are! We too, finally got a day of sunshine! I'll have to look into when the DISMeet is....I didn't know they would be there. We will be there the week of Thanksgiving.

Jeannie, I wish you a wonderful trip!!!!!

We still have nothing more planned for while we are there. I want to get our big dinner planned since ressies will now be hard to come by! I may have to do this backwards...call and tell them the time or date I want to eat and see what they have available!

Hi Guys,

Well the rain has finally stopped, however now we have very high winds, 50 mph and the winds are predicted to increase later tonight. The rivers that go through our town are above flood stage, 3 of the 4 roads that lead into & out of Henniker are closed and either washed away or under water. The weather service predicts that the river levels will peak tomorrow afternoon and then hopefully start dropping.

Very quiet on the boards for a Sunday, hope everyone is well, back to buttoning down the hatches here in NH.

Bye, Kim

:cold: 1°C/34°F this morning :cold:
But now it's 16°C/61°F under a blue sky, which means I can ride with the top down after work.
Speaking about work: When I arrived at the office this morning my manager asked me to go into our meeting room with him. Now I'm no longer an RP&P Analyst - I'm a Senior RP&P-Analyst now  And a pay raise came with it, too :teeth:
Nevertheless I will cut the day short today: Our fridge is empty and as supermarkets are closed on sundays in Germany, we couldn't shop for groceries yesterday. So I'll leave office at 2pm, go to the gym with Anja, and then we'll restock our fridge.

I hope to find time tonight to do another update to get you on The List, Lily :wave2:

Eric....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! that is so awesome! I am sure you are well desearving of the position!!! What a great way to come home from vacation!

Tiger Lily, thanks for the link. I'll have to see if maybe we can catch something on that Saturday after T'giving. Steve has worked his schedule so we will have 2 days to drive each way. We'll leave Friday after school, and stay in SC somewhere...we stayed in Orangeburg in December, then arrive on Saturday. Coming back, we'll leave on Saturday and be home on Sunday. Since we don't have to do all the driving in one day, we might be able to do something in the morning on Saturday.

We too, awoke to a chilly morning! I am going to have to find some warmer clothes to walk the dog in. I had sweatpants and a sweatjacket on, but my hands and face were cold! At least it will warm up to about 70 later today!

Have a Zippity Do Dah, Zippity day!

It looks like we'll miss MouseFest. It doesn't start until the weekend after we leave. I'll have to plan better next time....although, with the kids in school that week, it would be hard to go anyway. Thanks again TL!
