Hi Folks,
zis is ze Germans speaking again:teeth:
We're at Mary's & George's house right now. We spent a wonderful day at Fort Sumter, exploring the Aiken-Rhett-house in Charleston, and watched NASCAR 3D at the IMAX. Tonight we'll have dinner with our SC-friends.
Tomorrow we'll go to St Augustine, hoping that the on Jeanne we'll be meeting during our vacation will be our friends from the DIS;) But with Jeanne being downgraded to a tropical depression, we're hoping that she will never regain hurricane strength::yes::
We hope to get access to the Internet in St A again and talk to you again.
See Y'all soon

Anja & Eric

Eric and Anja - glad to hear from you and that you're having a good time. See you in two weeks.

I'm pretty sure we'll be docking right there. That's what they did in August. There were other ships that had to have their passengers tendered in, but they were much larger than the Magic. In fact we were commenting how very small our ship looked in comparision.

Good to hear from you Eric and Anja. Every time that we have gone to St. Thomas we have docked at the havensight dock which has the little mini mall located there on the docks.

I have been making halloween tote bags for the other kids in Katie's preschool class. Just had to make six of them, but they are taking about an hour a piece. Hope that they enjoy them. The sun came out for a few minutes here in Nashville today.

Mary if the ship get diverted to Charleston hope that you feel up to playing tour guide. Just be sure to have your tip jar sitting on the dash. Mike

Okay, my final goodbye!

See you guys on the 2nd! We leave tomorrow, get into MCO about 10:30....then off to WDW on Sunday. Doing our "first" dive at Epcot, DiveQuest (yes, Tim got certified...sort of...)

Hopefully good weather will grace us on the 9/25 AND the 10/02!!! If I get a chance, I will post (quickly!) from the Magic!

Safe travels!

See you in two weeks!!!

Have a safe trip Jill and Tim. We will see you on the ship in :bounce::bounce: 2 weeks.

Have our fingers crossed for making our ports of call. Mike

Have a safe trip Jill and Tim. :wave2:

Eric and Anja--- So glad you are enjoying your trip so far.

Ivan was not kind to this area. Tornados in MD and PA. Southcentral Pa with major flooding. This storm has created major damage from Florida into the Northeast. Hopefully, it soon will be out to sea. I hope everyone is safe and without any major damage to your property.

Ok, Jeanne is this weeks storm and then Karl for next week. I hope we can all make it to the port between Karl and whatever the next one is.

Off to do errands.

Nancy::MinnieMo

SEE you Both on The 2nd Of October Neighbors...............

Have a Magical time !!!!!!!!

We will ....

Peter

Sarah-- (SarahMomfrom PA)

Heidi got your message, but it was too late to call--we're an hour earlier than you, and I didn't think your mother would appreciate a call near 11 pm.

Now she's out w/her Dad. She'll be home around 7 your time. I can have her call you tonite.

The Germns have left the building!LOL! Eric and Anja are on their way to Florida, St Augustine, then on to see Ave in Panama City Beach. I hope they had as much fun as I did, touring around Charleston. The weather was very nice for them!!

Jill and Tim, have a safe trip. See you soon.

I spoke with Ave last night and she has not gotten her docs yet, but since the storm she has not gotten any mail either. Only people who live in her area are allow in. Hopefully UPS is holding them for her.

2 weeks from now we will be on board!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone!
No power yet, but DH parents got thier power restored, so they lent us thier generator. Using it for a small AC unit in my bedroom, fans, and of course....the computer.:bounce:
No docs yet. We got mail delivered yesterday, newspaper came today. But no UPS truck yet.
I have to show my ID every time I enter my neighborhood. The area is a mess. A few houses badly damaged, and more trees then I can count either uprooted or snapped in half. Power poles also missing or damaged.
Not fun dealing with all this, but feel very lucky we are all OK. A man up the street was killed when the tornado struck.
That picture on the AP wire with the big bull was "our" tornado.
DH was outside, just coming out of our workshop/laundry room, when it came over our house. The whole yard, street, and neighborhood was covered with debris. Mostly roofing material.

I want to thank all of you who thought of us, and prayed for us. It has been a long few days.

OK funny story: Wed. night about midnight DD was sleeping, she woke up and relized that the screen had fallen out of her window. She got up, went out the front door, picked up the screen and was in the process of putting it back in place when a spotlight hit her, and she heard "What are you doing there?" It was the police. Scared her to death. Seems they are really taking care of the folks in this area. Sorry she was scared, but happy to know we are being looked after while we sleep with open windows and door.:D
OK, got to go pick up DD. She has taken up residence with her friend. Something about sleeping in a hothouse???? She need a change of clothes. ;)

Talk to you all real soon.
Avé

How wonderful to 'hear' from you...

We have so many friends & family all over Florida... Our thoughts are with you all...

{{{{AVE}}}}

So glad to have you back. I hate that you all are going thru this!

My prayers are with everyone in the southeast in general & in FL, in particular. Can't imagine being w/o power for the length of time some of you have been.

Where did DH end up when it hit? I get the impression he was outside in it.

Nothing new to report here, except my h (not DH much anymore!) is being a royal a--hole today. And, of course, all he knows is that I'm crabbing, not that HE's doing anything wrong. (They wouldn't let me type the word I originally put. Sorry.)

I so much can't wait to get away from here! :boat:

My throat's been bothering me for two days. I'm going to go take a nap & see how I feel later. Chat later.

Marianne

Ave' -- it's wonderful to hear from and to know that you all are well. Great that the police are on the job even if your DD did get scared, and I bet she really did. Hope that you get your power back soon.

Wonder what we'll all be doing at this time two weeks from now. Sure hope the next weeks go by super fast. I really need to get organized and start packing something. Maybe tomorrow which is what I have been saying for days now.

So Glad to hear from you. I can imagine what you've been through. Hope things get back to normal for you soon. BOY will you be in need of a vacation......where are you going after cleaning up from hurricanes and tornados........on a Disney Cruise!!! You certainly deserve one.

Glad to hear Eric & Anja had a good time with Mary and Geoge.

Two weeks from now we will be sailing on the Magic.....can't wait.

Dave & Ellen

Ave - So glad to hear that everyone is ok. Must have been really scary though. Also glad that the police are looking out for everyone. Hopefully your docts will come soon and the power will come back on even sooner.

Ironically the last few days here have been really sunny with very little rain. Ivan turned before he came to Canada. It's starting to get quiet cool at night here though. Am looking forward to a little warmer weather.

Can't believe we are leaving in a little over a week.

No yelling yet here either!

Fiona
