AuntMeMe - I don't think we will be able to come to Jetty Park since we're now staying in Orlando.

We're now in room 6313, since we downgraded. Forward, right in the middle

Who's near us?

Marianne & Heidi

Just got in ,From some errands and in the Door
The Docs.. ups is working late..

no upgrade 6634 for us ..:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Peter-
You'd had better not be noisy neighbors! We'll be right next to you in 6632! We finally got our docs today, too, although some of the excitement has been subsided by the weather, I have to admit. Not only for us, but it is simply getting depressing watching all the destruction daily on the news. Who woulda thunk it?

Good times will be had by all, regardless! I hope all the Ron Jon'ers find alt accomodations. That does put a kink in plans!

Just gotta get through tomorrow at work...the afternoon will be spent pitching our women's self defense class to Colorado State University, so it'll go fast, I hope! Then off work Thurs and Fri, and off to WDW on Sat!!!!

All spread "pixie dust" Tim's way! He will be taking the open water scuba cert again tomorrow.....he'll have to sit on the sidelines if he can't get past the whole not wearing a mask thing!!!

My DS 14 is a little shy and hoping there will be other teens his age (14) on the 10/02 cruise. He love sports, working out, XBOX and hanging out. Any other 14 year old young men going on this cruise? Any from the Plano/Dallas area in specific?
DS is totally against the "programmed" teen scene with one exception. He'll probably go to the spa/gym when it's reserved for the teens and maybe do the hoops event. If he found a buddy or two to hang with he'd be a lot happier. Otherwise he's got Mom and Dad and our other DS who's 9. Just thought I'd ask on his behalf (I did get his permission).

Just got our docs yesterday. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO Excited!!!
I feel for all the hurricane victims and hope they are through messing with Florida and Disney. Lot's of lessons to be learned from reading this board.

What a bummer about Ron Jon's. Glad we decided to do the Radisson.

Peter, we are neighbors we are in 6638. You have one of the downgraded cat 6 rooms that went to cat 7. We had to wait a month post cruise to book with my DVC discount points so all those rooms were gone. This is our first time trying a navigator stateroom.

Off to watch Amazing Race.

Hi Linda, and Welcome. My DD will turn 14 on 9/28. Her name is Mary. There are a lot of 12-14 year olds in this group. I'm sure Ciara will contact you soon. She is a very sweet 13 y/o who is keeping track of all the kids on her "Kids List".
Again..Welcome!!!

Just back from meeting with Eric and Anja. A wonderful time!

Good news from Ave, looks like the storm is going more to the West, away from Panama City Beach.

Mary take care of the German branch of the family. good news for Ave about Ivan.

Cathy inquiring minds want to know. Did you do the document dance today??? Mike

Peter, we must have booked before you because we've got 6134!

Good luck to everyone in Ivan's path. I have a friend going to PCB in a month and she's concerned about damage, so I've been giving her reports from Ave.

I've been reluctant about posting this, but the stress is getting the best of me. I've been dealing with an injury since early June that just takes time to heal (similar to Nancy, but on the other side of the leg). It's an inflammation and I'm finding out that stress makes it worse. I'm taking a certification test today to become a CSRP (has to do with collections). I've been studying for 2 1/2 months and hope I'm ready. I'll have to sit for 3 hours to take the exam today. Please wish me luck, cross your fingers, send pixie dust, what ever it takes so I don't go

Then maybe I can get on with the healing part of this injury (I have PT tomorrow for the first time).

Tracy - pixie dust for your leg and your exam! Hope it all goes well. Understand completely the stress of exams. As the last part before qualifying to become a lawyer we had to write 9 exams in 14 weeks. I was beat at the end of it and since my brother was writing them at the same time the stress in the house was unbelievable (we had to compete too!).

Off to work early this morning so that I can leave early and pick up my car (pay the bill too :( ) and then off to the Jays game to potentially see them lose too. Oh well there's always next season!

Fiona

twhipple...best of luck on your test! DH had to go though some PT for a hand injury last year and it was amazing how much it helped. I'm sending lots of Pixie Dust~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Still no docs for us, and I ee on the main board some on the 10/9 cruise have gotten their docs!

lbastida1....WELCOME! Can't help with you DS (mine are 11 and 12y/o)but I'm sure he will find a buddy to hang out with.

Thanks anyway...but I need a Cabbage Patch with hair....preferably dark hair....

Bette

Welcome L. Bastida! I have a 13 1/2 DS who'll be looking for friends to hang out with that week also. He's into Hockey and enjoys all sports, working out, PS 2 games, ping pong on the ship, and of course, the food:). Looks like they'll be several guys and girls his age to hang out with.

Yeah! I got my docs yesterday!!!
Question...do we have to fill out the credit card info on the kids' packets too? or just leave it blank???

Everyone stay safe from the storms. Travel plans have been an adventure for lots of folks since these storms kicked in. The stories have been more riveting than a good chapter book. I was hoping that we wouldn't be affected for our cruise, but I guess we'll have to be super flexible. I wonder what ports we'll go to? Still keeping my fingers crossed for CC, but now Jeanne is in the picture...who knows.

Take care,
Laura

twhipple....pixie dust and prayers on the leg and the test. I'm sure that you will do fine and we can all celebrate with a drink onboard to celebrate your passing the test!!!

Will there be any ports of call left to visit in the Caribbean?? Let's hope that Jeanne goes away (not our cruisers named Jeanne just the storm!) Everyone in the hurricane's path...stay safe. I'm sure that we will get some of the rain from this storm and today it is gloomy and overcast.

As I understand it, you only have to fill out one payment info card for each cabin. I just fill out mine and leave DH's blank and it hasn't been a problem.

Finished my studying, now it's time to get ready to leave. Thanks everyone! After today, I'll be able to go back to obsessing about hurricanes again  I've got my maps ready and have started marking the coordinate. How obsessed can one be?:jester:

Mary Jo, I think we'll both be ready for those drinks on board:p with all that's been going on.

Tracy, Best of luck on your test! And with the PT. And you can tell your friend that it looks as if PCB will be dodging the Ivan bullet. Of couse it's not over yet. DH took the kids to the beach a little while ago. He said the waves are huge.

I got a new Disney Movie. The Songs of the South. I don't think Disney made a royalty off this one.:earseek:

two-foxes, So jelouse that you guys are starting a week ahead of us. Will you be using the internet while on board? Maybe you could give us an update on the CC condition.

Sooner, rather than
Later,
Avé

Tracy: good luck with your exam and I hope your leg heals soon

Marianne: It's great that you guys will be at the same motel. I've never been there before but maybe they'll have a lounge and we can met for a drink. On second thought, at approx. $50/ night, they probably have nothing, so I'll just bring a bottle of wine and a few cups! Anyone else staying there? How are you getting to the port? We broke down and purchased the transfers from DCL. Had I realized you could purchase them one-way, we would have rented a car and joined the others at the pre-cruise party. Now that everyone is scattered around it's not that much of a concern.

Having a storm with my name is a little disconcerting.......I keep hearing negative comments about Jeanne and have to remind myself not to take it personally!
