Folks,
We watched 'Animal House' starring John Belushi tonight and I'm still laughing pirate:
Here's some important news:
I just received the logos from Cathy for further distribution, but unfortunately I've gotta catch some Zs now as it is 1015pm and I have to get up at 5am. I'll forward them to ALL of you either tomorrow during my lunchbreak or tomorrow evening after returning from the gym - So you'll have them sometime between 6am EST and 2pm EST.

Thanks to Cathy & the rest of the Design-Team.

G'Nite Every1:wave2:

Auntmeme, My Disney pedicure will be so cool. One of our patients came in a few months ago sporting her mickey toenails and everyone in the office went crazy over it. On the large toe is Minnies face, then on the remaining four toes, the nails are done in red, with white dots, (like Minnie's dress). Anyway, I found out where she had them done, and plan on treating myself and DD to a pedicure before we leave home.::MinnieMo

Jeanneg, Glad you're having a great time. Any good movies playing?

Later,
Avé

Hey guys,

Kathy just bought us a new ink-jet printer as our children have confiscated the other two that I bought. It is a HP 1210 all in one and works great. It hooks up via usb so that I can use it with my powerbook macintosh laptop or use it with both of our windows desktops.

Kathy has gone to Knoxville, TN this afternoon to take our oldest daughter for a state cna test. Certified Nursing Assistant. Next week she will be in St. Louis with our youngest daughter as the daughter is going through her office training for her new job at nurses for newborns here in Nashville.

If there are still any slots left I may try to para sail at CC. I will be the one that has to be towed by the C130 hercules transport aircraft. Mike

Laurarn: sent you a pm. I got mixed up and thought you were sending the same info over and over. My fault.

I am going to send out the second edition of the kids' cruz list. Is there any adults that want a copy of it. If you do please pm your e-mail address.

Mike, It is amazing how fast you are in the air, in a few seconds and you are way up... Come on the 11:30 ride and we can take pictures/video of you flying....

Bye, Kim

Oh, I've been wanted to get one, too! I went to one salon that did mickey nails....won't go there anymore (disadvantage to knowing when/why people are arrested!) but I was hoping I could find another salon around to do them.....I wonder if the polish would hold out for a whole 3 weeks.

GoofyNut got the logos. Thank you they are great. I can't seem to open them in word, am I doing something wrong. I have aol and I downloaded them into Word, shoudl I be doing something different?

Sorry, I'm only semi-literate on computers.

Try opening them in your graphics program that you use for digital pictures. Don't forget to mirror the image before you print it on the transfer paper. Mike

Wow...weekend is over already!

Got the logos! THANKS TO ALL! They look great. I'll print my t-shirts next weekend.

Ave, the pedicure sound awesome! I am going to try to find someone in this area who can do that too::MinnieMo

Jeanneg, thanks for checking in with us. I would lOVE to know what the current gift is:hyper:

Eric, Animal House has always been a favorite movie of mine. I think I saw it about a 10 times when I was in high school:tongue: Last time it was on TV I let the kids watch it, and they loved it:earseek:

1st day of school tomorrow, so I must get to bed. I've been able to sleep in until 6:45 during the summer, since I didn't have to get the kids up and ready. Now it's back to 6:00:(

Ooops,
so Cathy sent them to everyone:p My AOL only showed my adress in the header, but my office-mail shows that obviously everyone got them.
Great job, Cathy & Design Team:cheer2: :worship: ::yes::

Hi guys,
Just finished my 3 miles so anything I eat today has 0 calories. I made a pig of myself last night.......PC has a chocolate walnut cake that is nothing like it sounds. It consists of very few nuts, but is heavy on the chocolate. If you are a chocolate lover you gotta have this. It's very rich but not overly sweet. We also had the grouper which is new on the menu and tasted just like lobster. The menus are basically trhe same but a few items are different in each category. The previous night we dined at AP and it was not nearly as good. In fact, that's the night I'll probably skip for Palo in October.

The CC gift is a very nice navy blue blanket that shows the new Carribean islands and says something like "2004 Inaugaral Cruise". We have 2 staterooms so we got two!

Lots and lots of free drinks all around. Yesterday was Captain's welcome and we had mai tais and cosmopolitans (not your typical cosmo, but hey, it's free!)

Security was no problem at all. We got there early and just breezed in.

Let's see, movies.......They're showing King Authur several times, but the Village only once (Thursday evening at 11:15) Also, Miracle (with a Qand A with one of the players/coach afterwards).Around the World in 80 Days several times, Hidalgo, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Quenn, Raising Helen, Home on the Range, and perhaps a few more that I can't remember. The in-room movies -and there are lots of them - include Calendar Girls, 50 first dates, and a gazillion others.

Golden Mickeys is a great show and the variety act on the first night practically had me peeing in my pants! We all laughed so hard our stomachs hurt!

Still haven't seen the inside of an elevator. I hate it when I have to go from 3 to 9 (like I will in a few minutes to get my coffee) but I wanna eat whatever I want.

Have a great day,everyone....I'll check back tomorrow (tonight is Palo night)

Thanks for the updates. I can sit and watch people do their laps on deck 4 for hours:bounce:

Get your cameras ready Bette I am parasailing on CC at 11:30a.

Mike

Thanks for the info, Jeanne :wave2:
That chocolate cake sounds yummy, and so does the grouper.
I hope we get the blanket too. Although our cruise is free we are repeat cruisers, aren't we:p

Mike,
could you please also persuade Cathy (@GoofyNut) to parasail? I would then bring a SAM :jester: pirate: :teeth: I hope I can get it through security somehow:p

Received the shirt logos. Thank you so much - they are awesome:Pinkbounc

Thanks for the info on the minnie pedicure, I need to find someone to do that.

Does anyone plan on walking/jogging each day(or so)? I'm doing the wdw 1/2 marathon in Jan and would love a walking buddy on the ship?

For the tropical party does disney give out leis?

Thank you Goofynut for the logos!! I love them all....if I had to pick just one for the back print I think I would favor logo #2...Be Happy...but they are all great!! Thanx for all the hard work...I guess it's off to Michaels for the iron on paper!!

See you all soon!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

jeanneg: thanks for the update. Sounds like a great time! Do you know if the Q and A session after "Miracle" movie is something they do on each cruise or is that person just on the current cruise? My DS13 is a HUGE hockey fan and would love this.
Also, DS went to see "the Village" with a friend and the parents this past weekend. He was so spooked when he got home, he wouldn't let us turn the lights out at bedtime. I haven't seen the movie, but sounds quite scary.
Goofynut: got the tshirt pictures. They look great! Now we just have to figure out how we'll get them on the tshirt. DH is the computer person. I think we're getting a printer soon.
I still haven't decided what to do in St. Thomas yet. However, I made a reservation with Lawrence of Antigua in Antigua. It's $25 a person, he takes you on a tour of the island with points of interest for a few hours, then to anywhere you want for the day. My kids want a beach for snorkeling. Does anyone know how long we're docked in Antigua? I remember a post a while back saying they extended the day, but can't remember what times.
Have a great day!

Hi Laura,

We have a private tour scheduled for the St. Thomas day that includes, beach time, shopping, touring, the tram ride, bluebeards castle and more, we have space for a few more if you are interested. It is $ 20.00 pp and lunch is additional.

Bye, Kim

Eric ... If I were to parasail, you'd have some falling objects and they wouldn't be pretty (actually be rather smelly ;) ) cause I'm not the type that would like to be held up in the air by a couple of ropes and a Sail! I'll just stay on the sand and take the pictures.

I'm almost at the point that if our weather doesn't get more summer like, I may just start packing up my shorts and stuff for the cruise now! It's August and we left the baseball game Friday night cause it was to COLD.

Decided to bag the stuff to do at the house on Saturday and we went to the Philadelphia Eagles Training Camp ... cool. Got to see the players and coach for FREE. I'd hate to see the food bill to feed that herd ... geez they are big boys!

I've almost got the template done to make the name tags for everyone ..... One thing I'd like to ask ... If you don't think that you would want one, please PM or E-Mail me. I won't feel bad really, just that last year I ended up throwing away at least 30 tags and it gets expensive with the cost of ink and laminate pages. They have our logo in mini size and your name in a larger print with your DIS handle in small letters below. For those that have not cruised with us before, it's helpful in trying to get to know each other as you walk the decks. Not to mention a free souvenir for those scrap-books! :bounce: So far it's 88 adults and 41 kids.

LOL Cathy :rotfl:
We'd love to have our name tags ::yes:: Especially after a couple of Conk Coolers they might come in handy:drinking1 to remember my own name - This is why I will wear it upside down, so that I can read it better

BTW, Anja will go for the 'Don't Worry'-Mickey on her back and I chose the Goofy. But perhaps we'll have two shirts each - Depending on the price the guys at the printshop are offering.

Tonight we'll have a blast from the past on TV: 'The Bad News Bears' from 1976, starring the adorable W. Matthau and little Tatum O'Neal. I rememebr seeing that one at the cinema with some friends from my school.
