Mary Jo, I had to read your post twice. At first I thought you were going to eat moose! (Or are you?)
Two-foxes, Hope you get rid of those pop-ups soon. Reminds me of a joke. Know what we use to call birth control pills? Popper-Stoppers!
Nancy, Have a fun Adventure on the riverboat.
Cathy, How is Ashlee doing?

Worked today, got home, took my dog to the vet, now I have to go buy Mark a Father's Day gift. He wants a digital camera. I have NO clue as to what kind to get him. Guess I'll have to go somewhere that has a $alesperson.

Our dog got attacked by another dog last week. He now has a drain in his face, and has to wear one of those lamp shade collars. We have to flush the wound 4x per day, and he can only have the collar off to eat.

Love the new pictures on the webpage!

Later,
Avé
Ave,
if you need help with the digicam, I'll be more than happy to give you advice. Tell me your budget and what you want it for, and I'll tell you what to get.

We'll "spend" the evening in the USA tonight: The Formula One races in Indianapolis today, start will be 07pm our time, 1pm EST.

Anyone of you also watching ?

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads!

Peter and Jen...congrats on your new babies! very CUTE!!

Just home from seeing Tom Hanks in "Terminal". Very funny movie. Tom Hanks is such a great actor. I just love him! I took the kids to see Harry Potter yesterday. Also a great movie!

Ave, did you get Mark a camera? I am sorry to hear about your doggy.

Eric, (or anyone who is a tech junkie) what is the difference between a "Plasma" TV and a High Def. TV. Or are they the same?
We are dying to get one of the flat screen TV but will probably wait a year or so until the price drops. Anyone already have one? If so, any recommendations as to brand to buy?

Mary,
a plasma-TV can be a HDTV (HighDefinitionTV), it depends on the available resolution it can display. I thought about buying one too, but will wait. For us Germans -or also for the UK- the step forward in picture-quality is not as big as for Americans anyway, because our PAL-system is superior to your NTSC-We had the advantage of converting from black'n'white to colour later, thus implementing a more advanced system..
The price-forecast for plasma-screens says that the prices will kind of level off this year. For another big pricedrop you'll have to wait probably another year or so.
If I'd live in the USA, I would buy one soon, but in the UK or in Germany I will wait. And it also depends on the TV you have now. We have a 100Hz-Sony 30inch-screen, which is very advanced and only about 5 years old, so there's no real need to replace it i Uufortuantely ;)

Peter and Jenn, your new puppies are adorable.

I definitely know how you feel about losing Shelby this spring. We've had two parakeets for 10 years and this morning lost Skyler. I know he was old for a parakeet, but it doesn't make it hurt less. I feel worse for Carson, the one who is left. It was his best buddy since they were at the pet shop.

I had to work, but my DH was there with his friends. He has awsome seats at the top of the first turn. Although he wasn't to thrilled with the way Schumacher took the lead, he said it was a great race. Beautiful day too....especially with all the rain and heat we have had the past week.

Jenn-

What cute puppies! We have two black cockers....Lad & Domino. Both are rescue dogs. Not even close to show quality, but we love them just the same! We call them "Amazon Cockers" because they are so huge....a little over weight but tall and just big too.
Some time I'll post pictures.

Peter and Jenn, very cute puppies. Good luck with the house training. Our dog is still not quite fully housebroken - when she gets mad she goes in the living room. She hadn't done it in quite some time but this weekend ......

Two more days and we are down to single digits yeah. It's that much closer finally.

Back to work this Monday morning.

I don't wanna disappoint you, but it's only double digits you'll be at on Wednesday ;)
You'll have to wait another 92 day for a single-digit-countdown.

Right Eric!! Duh -- early morning without tea yet is my excuse. It sounded so good though. :p

Double digits though. :bounce:

I just called DCL-reservations. It is so much fun to be on hold for 10 minutes when calling from overseas:rolleyes: But I think I'd better not complain as the cruise will be free :teeth:
I wanted to make sure that our docs arrive in time. And it was good that I called: The castmember on the line told me that usually they send them out 7 - 14 days before the cruise  As we will leave for the States on 09/11 this wouldn't work very well;) She promised me to take care that we'll receive everything well before our departure to the US. Please keep your fingers crossed for us, that this works out ::yes::

A VERY BIG Oops! I meant double digits! I'm with Fiona that I should not post before I've had my morning coffee. See what happens when I do?

Reneé

Eric -- My fingers are crossed. Would it be better to have your documents held for you at the terminal? I think they do that, altho I guess I would hate to wait until the last minute to find out that somebody goofed and they weren't there. Good luck!

Hi Fiona
Yeah, single-digits sounds great, but unfortunately it's nearly three months til we fly, and well over three til the cruise :(
I intend to make a cellphone-check with you before the cruise, I'll mail you about it. Just to make sure that our rendezvous on the Interstate works out. But I guess this won't be a problem.
Next Saturday we'll go to Aschaffenburg in Bavaria to do some extensive shopping, to continue buying the gifts for all our American & Canadian friends. This way we make sure that we don't forget anything. I just hope we don't get into trouble with the U.S. Customs;) But as most of the stuff could be defined as 'normal' travel-accessories, we won't gift-wrap it before we're in one of our hotels:teeth: this should keep us out of calamities. Of course will put all the schnaps on the customs-form:drinking1
