Welcome back Eric and Anja. Glad that you had a good time even though the weather didn't always cooperate.

Very funny goofynut.

It's getting hot here again which means the humidity is up.

Announcer for the Jays has a brain tumour which was operated on on Sunday but they couldn't remove it all. Hopefully he'll be ok. His Dad died last week and it was the first time since the Jays started in 1977 that he missed announcing a Jays game -- over 4,300 games. An amazing streak.

How do the vouchers work? We can't get them here in Canada so was just wondering.

(I'm up to page 177--it's slow-going.)

Sorry I've been "out of touch", but work's been really busy.

Also, DH & I have been fighting :headache: :sad1:

But, slowly, things are getting better. :cheer2: :love2:

(No Mary Jo. It has nothing to do with axes. :teeth: )

So, when I get caught up, I'll catch you all up.

Bye!

I also have a question about the vouchers. Where do you get them? How much to they cost? How do they work? I went to hotwire.com but either that is the wrong place or I didn't know where to look because I couldn't find anything about meal vouchers.

It's at http://www.hotwiresavingsclub.com/hsc/index.asp

I got my 4 day hopper plus tickets there for $208.96 including shipping. I thought that was a great deal since I haven't seen them any cheaper anyplace else. I also got a $10 rebate on my first purchase so that made them cheaper yet.

I am also looking into the meal vouchers. There is a big thread on that on the budget board. I'll post the link when I find it.

Maybe Pétér or Kim can post about buying and using these???

Hi Guys,

I think the meal vouchers are great if..... you are a huge lunch eater (or dinner/lunch at Rain forest cafe) or you share a meal. For $ 11.50 ea you get any entree you want, side order , drink and desert. Some food places the value is exceptional other places so so... For me, it is one more thing paid for in advance. Mom and I will usually share a meal and perhaps get an extra salad so it is a good deal...

You can buy dinner only vouchers that are only good at sit down restaurants for around $32.00 ??? .

I will be ordering the rest of my vouchers later this week so if anyone wants to get a few let me know and I would be glad to order them for you along with mine. The vouchers right now expire May 2005.

Bye, Kim

Thanks for the link Renee. Will have to look into this and discuss with Jim. We usually bring a lunch to the parks but this might be interesting to try.

Thanks for the offer Kim. I might take you up on it since I don't believe that they will ship to Canada -- we've had various threads on the Cdn board about it.

Back to work. The files are piling up again and voicemail is flashing again!

Renee -
We got our 4 day PHPs there too....at $204 and some change, you can't beat it!

We purchased some Q&C meal vouchers (11.50 ea), breakfast vouchers (18.50) and Kingdom lunch vouchers (31.00 each). We LOVE to eat, but since the cruises will be following our WDW days, we didn't want to gorge on food, but it will be nice to have a prepaid good lunch at HBD, breakfast at Kona and CP and some fast food at Yakatori or B&C (and a few nice dinners). A friend at work will be at WDW the same time we will be, so I figure they'll want some, so we may rejoin (for the 30 trial period) get a few more, just in case, then cancel again.

It is worth a look at least.....with the 30 day free trial, you can either cancel right away if you don't like it, or get what you want and get out!

Oh, look! I can make my PS's soooo soon!

Cathy,
congratulations on winning #2800:cheer2: but #3000 will be mine ::yes:: How did you get Art in the box  :jester:

The soccermatch Germany vs Netherlands is still 0:0.

Tomorrow Anja & I, 29 of my coworkers and about 49,300 other people will run 3.5 miles through Downtown Frankfurt. It's the J.P. Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge, which takes place in 10 or so American cities, London, Stockholm & Frankfurt.

We're leading 1:0 :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Congrats on the soccer game Eric!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Good luck tomorrow. That should be really crowded.

Jill -- I keep telling Jim that we only have another month to go before we can make our PS for after the cruise. The amazing thing is that he's actually made some comments about where he wants to eat so I think I know where we are going to eat dinners but just have to decide on days. Makes the cruise seem closer somehow.

Told someone at work today that there were only 108 more days to go. They kinda look at me strange except the one that has a Disney baby. ;)

Back to work. Is it only Tuesday?

New kind of list possible

I'll get a Hewlett Packard IPAQ PocketPC in about four weeks. I intend to porduce a special PDA-version of The List - Either as a PDF or a document for MS Word for PocketPC. Anyone interested?
This would be a possibility to have the List hnady whenever you need it. Withsearch and editing functions, etc.
Just give me you feedback.

The PDA was a special offer. In Germany all magazine battle for subscriptions. The more subscribers they have, the more money they can get for ads. Usually they offer premiums like phones, bicycles, cameras, etc. The value of the the premium must -by law- never be higher than the value of the subscription. Usually you have to sign a one- or two-year contract. The magazine we subscribed to is €120 per year, the PDA costs about €270, Anja ordered the magazine for a year, I get the PDA for €154. Subscriber and recipient of the premium must be different according to the law. The magazine is one we read anyway - BTW, if we bought it at the newsstand we would have to pay about €140 per year.
Usually we cancel the subscription after a year and as soon as they have a new attractive premium we subscribe again. This magazine ('Der Stern', comparable to 'Time') we have subscribed now for the sixth time :p They gace us a Wireless phone with answering machine, a Sega Dreamcast, a stereo with Dolby-Surround, a Nintendo GameBoy SP, a sportswatch with heartrate-monitor, and now the PDA.
They're so keen on getting your signature that after the cancellation they usually call and ask you to withdraw it and offer you a premium. It's a crazy world, isn't it

Still 1:0 for our boys :Pinkbounc Unfortunately I can't see the finish of the match: I have to pick up Anja at the hospital - She's doing the lateshift :(

 In the second I left our house the Dutch scored a goal and so the match ended 1:1 :sad2:
OK, gotta sleep now, have to get up early tomorrow to get all my work done before then race thru Downtown Frankfurt.
:cloud9:

Anja says Good Nite, too

Those are neat premiums Eric. Usually here with Time you're offered a watch or some sort of sports bag, at least here in Canada.

Well the last day of school was yesterday and he writes 2 exams tomorrow so just one more day of dragging him out of bed. The really funny part of this is that he did finally get a job with the reserves for the summer at the base here which is great. The funny part is that he has to be there for 8am!! I asked how he was going to get there and he said bus. I couldn't help laughing and said how in the world are you going to leave here around 7am? He said he'd do it. We'll see though.

Must go and get ready for work.

Fiona

I am always interested in others trips and found a very recent 7 day Eastern on another board. Thought they had some really good shots and I got to see what the days are going to be like. Also, if any one else got an REAS, when do we get to do our reservations? 6 weeks out or something? Thanks, Denise

http://www.sinknet.net/gallery/dcruise2004

I was just going to ask the same question about the REAS package. I just called DCL and was told someone would call me 4-6 weeks prior. I thought I read that some people from October cruises had already called and set everything up with Debbie @ DCL.

I saw something about her too. I think I will try tonight to call and at least leave a voice mail. I figure she is being bombarded with calls, but everyone has written that she gets back quickly. So here's to a quick reply!:listen:

She's the one I tried to call, but they wouldn't let me talk to her

Maybe I need to pay for the call and call her direct (I tried the 800 number and when I asked for her extention, they asked a million questions, put me on hold and ultimately said I need to wait for their call).
