ok -- the picture of people going downhill in a wok is absolutely hilarious. Reminds me of the Japanese game shows where they do really different things -- like going uphill while big boulders are being shot downhill. One of the cable channels here dubs the Japanese game shows. I keep thinking that people are really getting hurt doing them.

Bobsled is something totally scary to me to go downhill that fast. 57mph in a wok is something else.

Sounds like we might skip DQ although cheesecake is great (only get to eat it out as Jim hates it).

Believe it or not (well actually since we don't stay up late you might) we also haven't been to PI either. Night owls on vacation we aren't. :o

jeanneg, We did Disney Quest in Chicago a few years back. We were there to visit one of my brothers. We had a great time. The roller coaster thing was fun. No

I got my DD an unlimited pass thing. My pass included a limited number of things. We did do the raft thing, loved it! The only down side was sister Mary and I had to sneak out, and go down the street for a beer. The ESPN bar was next door. We tried the Cheesecake Factory, but I think they were having some major problems that day. It took a long time to get served. :(

Fiona, are you now practicing international copywrite laws? Is there anyone from Gilligans Island that would care? :teeth:

Horrible day at work today. Our receptionist, who I LOVE, and who does a wonderful job, put in her 2 week notice. Personality conflit with the boss. :( It was going to happen sooner or later. Puts me in the middle. I just hate that.

We want to go back to Disney! Looking at maybe end of March, or mid May. We have until June 2 to use the last two days on our Disney Park Hopper Passes. :Pinkbounc

Later, Ave'

I got the Disney Cruise Line DVD in the mail today and we just watched it. There is a section on it about how the Magic was built. Very interesting. That was definitely worth watching and waiting for. I think it took us over an hour to watch since there is so much stuff. I really loved the 360 degree views of the Cat. 1 through 3 suites. Only thing is now I saw what we can't afford. Those suites are absolutely gorgeous. Makes me really wish we could stay in one. Oh well, maybe if we hit the lottery......

Too funny ...
I also ordered the DVD just the other day how long did it take to get???

PETER well after 6 cruise u should look at the video...

How much is that Cruise-line DVD?

Fiona,
congrats on post #1400

It took me only a week to get the DCL- DVD and the new WDW-DVD. Ordered them for my daughter also since she and our grandson are going to WDW with us in May and also on a Wonder cruise in June 2005. So I now have 2 DCL cruises booked within less than a year!!!

Eric -- If we are talking about the same DCL-DVD, it is free. You can order it from the DCL website. Didn't get a chance to look at either one last night with Dr. Phil's family show and Survivor to watch and then Sam wanted to watch something at 9.

Speaking of Survivor, this has definitely got to be the weirdest one yet. Second contestant walked away from the contest. I think Rupert was right about Susan deciding to sue Richard. Glad to see her go whatever the reason. Somehow I just can't see tough Susan getting that upset over the incident. She appears to be made out of stone. And did I hear Jeff Probst say on the preview for next week's show that someone else was quitting? Or did I just imagine that?

ERIC ABOUT THE SAME As a 7 day cruise for Viking....

Ave: Can you get into the Cheesecake Factory without paying for Quest? My hubby gave out $50 gift certificates to Cheesecake Factory to some of the people who were helpful to him during the year and we ended up with one extra. My girls are not really keen on going for the games, but they may want to have dinner at CF. BTW, I thought park hoppers never expire....why do you need to use it by 6/2? I was looking over our passes last night and I have one that goes back to 97 and I'm sure it's still good.

I never did see last weeks "Survivor" but I'm really angry at Richard. I've never been a fan of Sue but what he did was clearly wrong and would be considered sexual assault in any other venue. Come to think of it, just walking around the way that he did could be considered lewdness which is technically against the law. As for the 3-second excuse, well, anyone that's ever been flashed (too many times to count for me!) knows that it doesn't take more than 3 seconds but it's still a violation. OK,OK, I'll get off my soapbox.....I'm just glad Richard is gone.

Eric: I loved the funny story about the wok races....sounds like a wok on the wild side to me........

Hopefully this time tomorrow we'll be off the plane and on our way to Port Orleans. Still need to pack......!

Missed the start of Sue's rant last night but was somewhat stunned by it because I thought that she was a really strong contestant that nothing could get to. I didn't see last week's episode so can't really comment on what happened. It's interesting that the last time Osten walked and now this time 2 people have walked (although I'm not sure why Jenna went in the first place). Might be a lot harder than it appears.

Was so glad to see Omarosa get fired on The Apprentice although I have to admit she did a good job with the art which was just plain too weird for me. Saw a bit of her on NBC's morning show and she was complaining about how black women are protrayed on reality TV but what I thought was interesting is that she didn't say that she came across badly because of the editing. I didn't see the entire thing but she still said that she was much better than the other contestants.

Back to work. Yeah it's Friday. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Raining here today but it's Friday.

Hi Guys, Kim here...

Jeanne, You used to have to pay for DQ to be able to get to the Cheesecake Factory, I have not been in almost 2 years so things could have changed. We will be down at x-mas and plan on eating there one night...

On the reality shows, it was interesting to see Sue explode, what Richard had been doing was wrong and should NEVER have been allowed to happen, however the directors allowed him to get away with it and look what has happened. On the other hand, Sue had a choice not to take the route that would put her in contact with Richard on the challenge game. So she will most likely sue him , and her quitting the show will show how traumatized she was, however since the show was filmed out of the country that might be hard...

On the Apprentice, Yay Omarosa is gone... Trump had a smirk on his face when he fired her, I think that he looked forward to that .
She annoyed me sooo much, she accused the others of a race issue a few shows ago, yet it was her bringing the race card up not the others. To me she appears to be " jack of all trades, master of none". If everyone else is inferior to her, why was she the one fired ?? .

Oh well so much for goofing off... I have my lab samples all set to run, so off to work I go...

Bye, Kim

Have to agree with you Kim about Trump. He certainly looked like he enjoyed firing Omarosa or at least it wasn't a hard decision. I'm thinking he doesn't like people who whine all the time. I was sorry that she barged into the boardroom cause I wanted to hear what they were going to discuss.

Back to work. Trying to clean off my desk for the weekend without staying too late.

Fiona

KIM r u going to have a job????

Survivor, since the event did not take place in the US. would u not have to go what ever country u r in ??????

I checked out the link (Thanks, Renee) and unfortunately DCL doesn't send the DVD to Europe as they don't promote the cruises very much over here :(
Could someone be so kind and order one for me and bring it to the ship, please

Love your joke about the price, Peter

Can do better than that , will mail it to ya when I get the DVd
When i get it , Then i will get the address ok Eric....

jeanneg, We bought "special" FL resident passes for our last trip. They are 4 day park hopper passes good thru 6/2/04. They were $109 each (kids and adults, same price)
At the Disney Quest in Chicago you could not get to the Cheesecake Factory unless you bought your way into DQ.

Taking the family to dinner.
Later, Ave'

Good morning all. Thought that we were going to have to find an ark builder last night. We had tons of rain. Kathy's daffodils are in bloom and the trees here are budding out.

Has anyone found stuff in Antigua to do other than the beaches??

Looking forward to the DC meet for those that can make it. Mike
