Here you go...

The theme to Gilligan's Island

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port,
Aboard this tiny Ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin' man,
The Skipper brave and sure,
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three hour tour.

A three hour tour. [ sound of thunder: crack! ]

The weather started getting rough,
The tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew,
The Minnow would be lost.

The Minnow would be lost.

The ship's aground on the shore of this
Uncharted desert isle
With Gilligan, the Skipper too,
The Millionaire and his wife,
A movie star, ( and the rest ) the Professor and Mary Ann,
( All ) Here on Gilligan's Isle!

So this is the tale of our castways,
They're here for a long, long time
They'll have to make the best of things,
It's an uphill climb.

The first mate and ( his ) the Skipper too,
Will do their very best,
To make the others comfortable,
In their tropic island nest.

No phone(s)! No light(s)! No motor car(s)!
Not a single luxury,
Like Robinson C-ru-soe, it's primitive as can be.
So join us here each week my freinds,
You're sure to get a smile,
From ( For ) seven stranded castways,
Here on "Gilligan's Isle."

Bye, Kim :cool1:

Talking again about pictures:

So far I only have received pictures -and great ones BTW!!!- from

-Jill & Jim (Two-foxes)
-Renee, Lenny & Hailey (Piglet 33)

I have a big supply of pictures of the veterans, but apart from Two-foxes none of the 'newbies'. Good Friday is in five weeks, please send your pics well before that time so that I can work on them before the Easter holidays and have them uploaded onto our homepage then.

Here's the adress for the pictures again: cruisetoberfest2@aol.com

The participants in the DC-meet will do a group-pic and send it first weekend of Aprilm which is perfect (Thanks, Mike).
BTW,
when you're in Washington could you please tell Mr. Greenspan to keep the interest-rate low and not raise it before after my last credit-card-bill from the States has arrived in late October ;) Today the Dollar soared up 3 Cents just because of a rumour that Greenspan may perhaps possibly raise the interest rates

Peter,
same here at Ebay.de (German branch): Lots of people accusing each other of stealing their pictures - Ridiculous.

Wow.

I don't believe that you wantonly and with malice aforethought posted copyrighted lyrics to a public forum. I can think of at least three US laws that this contravenes, at least four Canadian laws, the Berne International Conventions and wow, wow, wow...

This is obviously part of your Dark Side that you didn't show the last cruise.

I tell you it just upped the Fun Factor a notch or two.

I am so-o-o-o-o looking forward to this cruise.

:)

Jim.

Maybe Eric can help maybe it is not illegal for germans to post American Songs or something like that .....

Maybe. But the Dastardly Deed was done in Florida (where the server resides I think) but she's not licensed to practice there.

I think we should move there just in case you do it again.

Jim.

Cathy and I are Peter. Have to have an impacted wisdom tooth removed tomorrow. Will work on it this weekend. Mike

No way, Peter: The same laws apply over here, but .... who cares :teeth:

Another issue,
you may not believe it, but Gilligan's Island never made it to Germany. Nevertheless someone being interested in American culture like me knows it.

Germans were certainly deprived without Gilligan's Island -- a definite classic. :D

I'll help you Kim -- Jim can be such a :jester:

Really looking forward to this cruise. Crappy day at work yesterday and really hoping today will be better. Only two days til the weekend.

Renee -- Saw that on CNN and was wondering how it will make a difference. I'm not all that sure what the difference is between a CEO and the Chairman but I'm sure it was a blow to him that he might have needed.

Have a great day everyone.

Fiona

Wow, I'm not getting notices of new posts again!

Eric: the photos are in the camera, but the roll is not yet finished. Only a few more shots left as we took several photos of DD this past weekend. You will surely have them by Easter week.

2 more days and we'll be in WDW!!!!!! I called House if Blues yesterday and found out they do not serve meals in the concert area and furthermore, there were only SRO tickets available, so it looks like we won't be seeing Willie Nelson. My 2 sons just love Disney Quest, but my girls and I have never done it. I'm not really big on video games but maybe we could have fun being spastic! Anybody out there ever done Quest?

Haven't ever done Disney Quest although I hear it's good even if you aren't really into video games.

Forgot that Jim and I did watch According to Jim Tuesday night and I found the episode funnier than the previous week. Lots more shots of the Magic too. Liked what he did in Palo and really can't understand why they so didn't like us. :(

Back to work. It was looking like it was going to rain but now it's starting to clear up. A lot of the snow is melted so at the moment everything has that blah look to it.

Jeanne, I am a video game idiot, but Disney Quest is fun for a visit. Many other things to do besides the games.

Bye, Kim

Kim, since you've been there, what else is there to do at Disney Quest? I have heard that it's fun but still don't really 'get' what's there. We now have regular AP's so we'd have to pay for it so I'd like to know a little bit more about it before committing the $.

Fiona

Fiona:

there are virtual reality games there along with arcade games. I wasnt so impressed with it but the kids seemed to like it. I was also in a reallllly bad mood that night so dont go by me.

Even if i wasnt in a mood i still wouldnt go back again....

If I recall correctly and things have not changed too much, you could do things like ride a rubber raft, everyone had to paddle and get out of the rapids, the raft actually moves up and down back and forth... There was a place to learn how to draw Disney Characters on a special computer and then you could print out your drawing. They had different physical games, many adults playing them... If all else fails, go upstairs to the Cheesecake factory and have lunch/Dinner or a snack. They have great food, HUGE portions I think...

Bye, Kim

Jeanne,
1st: If I remeber it correctly, your wanted to snail-mail your pics, because you don't have scanning capabilities. Alternatively you could order a Photo-CD with the development of your film. This way you could e-mail the pics and could also use them as wallpaper, screen-saver, etc. But I would happily scan your pics for you. Take your pick.
2nd: I love Disney Quest, but must admit that I would not be willing to pay the ~$30 admission. We always have the Ultimate Park Hopper when we're at the World, which includes admission to EVERYTHING and so we usually always go to DQ. It doesn't only offer arcade-games and VR-games, but also a funnny parcours with dodge-em-bumper-cars which additonally shoot balls with a cannon at the other cars.
Then there is a rollercoaster-simulator, where you build your coaster on a computer. The configuration is stored on a data-card and then you go to the simulator room, where you can climb into a capsule which looks like a cement-mixer and can be rotated around all three axes - Even enabling you to do looping, corkscrews, etc. When we waited in the queue for our turn one of the CMs had to clean one of the capsules with a hose, because the crew had decided to make room in their stomaches for another dinner during their ride :teeth: (Forgot how to make that Smiley puke:jester: )

We may not have Gilligan on TV, but right now we're watching the 'Official Wok World Championships'. You surely know what a wok is, the traditional CHinese frying pan. We have about 60 celebrities going down an ice-channel usually used for bobs, sleds and skeletons in woks. They do the 'Single Wok' and the 'Quadruple Wok', going down the track at speeds of up to 57mph!!!
It started with a bet a year ago and now they're doing the Second Official Wok World Championships. It's very funny
The single riders sit in a jumbo-sized wok and have small woks attached to their feet for steering an braking, the teams have four woks linked with the front-man/woman wearing the small woks.
