Hi Everyone,

I have an idea, I am going to start a new group, we are to be the Unemployed Diser's.:crowded:

Peter & Kim will be the charter members, George & Sam will be associate members since they do not have an exact date for their work slowdown / termination.

We ( our group) should come up with things that are charitable to do in our spare time, however I think a worthy cause would be..." How do we finance our next cruise :boat:"

It would be nice if our group remained small & select, but we would turn down no new members, even though we would hope no one wants or needs to join...

Gee can you all tell it is really quiet here today...

Well I am off the clean up the MESS our owner caused yesterday when he blew up a huge truck battery :firefight, he kept going
" did you see that explosion" he and one of my techs are lucky they were not injured ...all of my acid spill supplies were needed to stop that disaster.

Bye, Kim

Gee can you all tell it is really quiet here today...

Hi Nancy,
Staying at the Hyatt MCO shouldn't be all that bad.......it's where we're planning to spend the night! If I book the Delta flight I've been looking at we'll arrive a little after 8pm (assuming it's on time, of course). I was planning to grab the first Disney bus and travel in style and hassle free. I've just started comparing notes with Kim and Bette, who will also be at MCO, and they rented a car each way. Maybe with the six of us we could pool the rentals or hire one of those private limos (talk about traveling in style.....I'll even bring the champagne!) Yeah, that's right baby, we'll turn the MCO into the real party place to be! How's that for all you Radissonites, anybody thinking of converting?

Gee, I way I look at it, we could have Peter's entire winter filled with construction projects along the east coast before he even returns from Florida--ok Peter, how many points would it cost me to get you to strip!!!

Not too busy here today (although I could be!!) as you can tell--I am being lazy and can't wait for the weekend to sleep in and maybe take Sarah to the movies!!

P.S. Peter--sent Jenn an envelope on Lancaster, PA stuff so be on the lookout for it.

BY THE WAY..DID I MENTION WE ARE NOT LEAVING FOR FLORIDA???

Peter...I think you meant you love to strip floors.....I thought you meant that you love to strip.....LOL!!!!

Hi Mary Jo...

Please let Sarah know that I am sending her down a treat
( in the mail) on Monday, can you send mom your address at home ...

Bye, Kim

Mark me down for the siding thing. This is obviously a Government Job, and seeing that I've had absolutely no experience with it, I should be appointed the Lead Supervisor. The job shouldn't take any more than four, maybe five months at most, and we should be done well before the cruise.

We have a budget on this job? I guess we should know that before we start booking in the heavy equipment, but it's not a Major Issue if you don't have one.

We're having sort of coolish weather up here. -35 degrees C tonight. Thinking of actually getting out the touques and mittens-on-a-string, but if we do that, we'll have nothing to do when it gets really cold. Oh, well.

Jim.

Jim...actually, the job of supervisor is already taken by Gulliver because he is already an honorary worker for the NH Department of Transportation (he lays around and does nothing!!)--sorry NHDOT--but you could be the second in command.

Kim...count us in for the siding party...we come cheap...we work for cookies (loved the shortbread and the spritz are to die for)--btw...these cookies are calorie free, aren't they???

As far as a budget on the job, there is no budget because Kim doesn't have any money to pay you!!

I really had better get some work done today....yikes...it is almost time for lunch!!

Over Qualified, lol

maybe i could be ***. to the ***. since super... is taken...

Stripping is 109 points.... enough for one person for a cruise..lol

Love FED goverment jobs.. since im a Union worker...

Was on the Big DIG for 6 years

I dont know why it was over budget.....lol

OH yea Jen went to pick up the kids from School
Did i mention this WE R GOING TO FLORIDA...

wont be long now...

So no budget means that we'll have to forego the scaffolding, the on-site catering and the portable jacuzzis. We can still do the job with a couple of ladders, some two by fours, chili dogs, cold beers and a garden hose.

At least I now have an excuse, ah, sorry... a reason to go and browse the power tools at Home Depot. I've had my eye on one of those rechargeable drills for quite some time now. You should see all of the add-ons that come with it, and it comes with a leather pouch thingie that you can put on your belt. Sigh.

Jim.

OKAY>>>OKAY::::::OKAY:rolleyes:

Have a wonderful trip...

Kim & Bette

peter:

while youre on the home repair road trip andy and i would love to have our basement finished. we also supply entertainment while you work

...no not stripping(thankfully) but andy will do a little karaoke if you want. just let us know when the road trip begins. we're in ny so you can squeeze us in before the pennsylvania group.

Arlene

You guys are a riot. I am laughing so loud, people at work are looking at me stranger than normal.

Peter might not be around to answer because did he tell you that he is leaving for Florida???

Wish I could say that we were going to Florida as I look out my office winter at the snow coming down. Just wore shoes today which was a big mistake -- pumps and snow don't mix.

I can vouch for Jim being a great supervisor (although my mother would be even better!!!!). He does always stare at the tools anytime we go near Home Depot.

If we do the siding can we get manicures afterwards? There's a show up here where a lady does home repairs and she usually ends the show buffing her nails etc. to show that women can do home repairs and not wreck themselves. It's actually quite funny.

Pixie dust to all those unwell and unemployed although I like the idea of the unemployed disers group fundraising for a pick me up cruise!

They aren't closing the office early so hopefully I won't have to brush too much snow off my car when I leave -- had to clear the car when I went out for lunch.

Ya, right. I have to spend hours and hours standing around in every Shopping Opportunity while every little bit of merchandise is viewed and surveyed. The minute that I start looking at power tools usually signals that it is time to leave, so all I really get to do is to 'stare'.

Purchasing power tools borders on a mystical art for some of us. Every tool must be picked up, evaluated and put down. Not to mention the close scrutiny of accessories and add-ons.

Where was Peter going? It seems to have slipped my mind.

Jim.

thats because instead of visions of sugarplum fairies dancing in your head have been replaced by visions of power tools buzzing at home depot.

peter is off in sunny florida while most of us of dealing with freezing temperatures and pretty white stuff falling from the sky...

Hey Jim...

I have my own cordless power tools ! and my brother gave me a wheel tool case for christmas. You come down for the siding party and I will let you use my tools

Sorry Fiona, I know nothing about manicures...

Bye, Kim

You only get to stare because usually the power tools are strapped down to the display case. This is because Home Depot knows that power tool gurus like to test them in their waist bands.

Of course we usually don't get to Home Depot while the batteries are fresh in the battery operated tools so there is always the look of disappointment when the power tool doesn't go and just sits there waiting.....

"Pretty white stuff"? Definitely a half full type of person!

It's actually stopped snowing here for the moment but the temperature hasn't stopped falling! I think Peter better bring back some summer Florida weather. (The temps there haven't been too great so can't be overly jealous yet).
