Hi Guys...

We are busy like everyone else this time of year.

Peter & Jenn, I will e-mail you a map with directions to our house

Ave' if you REALLY miss the snow I can send some down to you...

Just finished decorating giant 10" gingerbread men for cookie night so now I am going to go and be lazy, have a lousy chest cold and it just hangs on and on... I know the cure !! a week in the Caribbean, however I do not thinks that BC/BS will pay for that treatment...

Bye, Kim

Another busy day in S.C.!

jeanniec...the wedding sounds like fun. Glad you had a good time:bounce:

The outside of the house is all decorated, and looks great! The inside has not been started yet:( I think we will get our tree this weekend, and pull the inside decorations out. Since we will not be here for Christmas, I may go easy on the inside decorations. I also plan on getting rid of a bunch of things I have been keeping (goodness only knows why). I have been watching a new show called "Clean Sweep, and it has inspired me to really look at some of the "junk" (can't say the word I REALLY want to use)I have been keeping.

Kim...pixie dust to you. Hope you are feeling better soon!

Ave, is the kitty your new "foster cat" or Nala? I hope you have a wonderful Birthday tomorrow!

jeanniec ---Sounds like you had a great time at the wedding. Welcome home

Kim--- That 10" gingerbread cookie sounds so good, it makes me almost want to start off to drive to your house for cookie night just for that. Just wish we were able to come, but no vacation time left for Norm till 2004. I was so hungry for a gingerbread cookie while we were in WDW and when I found some they were pre packaged not even made fresh in WDW. Plenty of gingerbread houses but no cookies.

I have the downstairs family room decorated. I have a small artificial tree that I put down there and I just love it after I get it decorated. This year I did it all in red and silver. I was tempted to do blue and silver since that seems big this year, but that would have required me to go get some additional deocorations and I was too lazy to run to the store. We will get our big tree for the living room once DS#2 gets home with my van. He is going to Michigan for a hockey tournament on Friday so won't be home until late Sunday or Monday. I bought a couple of small poinsettas which I have managed to kill off already, so will wait closer to the holiday to buy the big one that I use on my dining room table. Once the big tree is deocorated then all the decorations will be done. I even have some gifts wrapped. My least favorite thing to do is bake so that will be the last thing that is done.

I did book our family May cruise on the Navigator of the Sea. Got us adjoining promenade inside staterooms. Promenade view rooms are unique -- an interior room with a window overlooking the Royal Promenade. So Norm has a window, but won't see the ocean. Plus the boys have their own space.

Came to work early to get some things done, so I better start working on my little projects.

Nancy

Hi everyone,

Well it rained all day and the snow on my front lawn is gone. Good thing, because now Lenny can put the new Christmas decorations outside that I just bought. I can't believe Christmas is almost here. Boy do I need another cruise, unfortunately that costs money and that I have to save for October. Oh well.....

Have fun cookie night. Wish I could be there.

Bettemom...I am NOT missing snow. I am simplely rubbing in the fact that we don't have to deal with it!:sunny:

Happy Birthday to my best friend....Mary AKA Rellingtwin!
Hope you had a great one!

Kitty that was hurt was Nala. She has now forgiven me for taking her to that "place". And is back to sleeping on my head at night.:teeth:

Got to run and pick up some NY pizza. DH has the crudd that's been going around. So he get chicken noodle soup.

Later, Ave'

Piglet: what an adorable photo of your little girl! I remember when mine were young.....they were all very close in age (4 in 5 years and no twins!) We'd do the Christmas photos every year and damnit, I don't think I ever had a year when all 4 looked good in the same shot! Yours came out great!

thanks. can you believe they took 3 pictures in different settings and I had to buy them all. She came out good in all of them, and I couldn't decide which ones to get.

Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Mary & Ave :wave2:

Happy Birthday Mary and Ave

So which one is older?

That picture of Haley is so adorable. Yes, I remember buying all those pictures. In fact when I was doing my scrapbook albums for my sons, I was able to use some of those pictures. So even years later got some use out of them.

Everyone must be busy with holiday activites as not much posting lately.

Have a great day everyone.

Nancy

Happy Belated birthday Mary & Ave -- yeah more December babies.

Renee -- absolutely adorable picture of Haley.

Busy today at work and then our christmas party is tonight. Am leaving early from the Christmas party though as have to be up at 6:30am tomorrow to get DS to the amouries for a course he's taking that starts at 8am! And it's both Saturday and Sunday -- no sleeping in for me this weekend.

No snow here although there are a few flurries in the air. The rain got rid of all the snow.

Take care everyone!

Fiona

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I had a great birthday! The only thing bad was when I got home from work DH was sick. Now DD is sick as well. Oh well, better now then during Christmas I guess.
Renee, great picture. I did the same thing with DD. Bought every picture, but I'm glad I did. They grow up so fast.
Got the day off tomorrow, so lots to do, shopping ect. Also I am making Christmas Breakfast for my co-worker on Monday. I do this instead of buying them presents. So I have to get ready for that.

Kind of sad today. Lost a patient early this morning. Didn't know about until the funeral director called this morning wanting to know when my doc was going to be signing the death certificate.
She was a very nice lady, and we had just seen her on Monday, so it was a bit of a shock.
:(

Later, Ave'

:wave2: Guys ... I know I've been MIA for a while. Real crazy at work and throw in getting ready for the holidays and VOILA ... I'm going crazy.

Fiona, Mary & Ave ... hope you had real nice birthdays! Wish you many, many, many, many more.

Right about now all I want to do is just sit in my "lazy" chair and just hibernate. Enjoy looking at my Christmas Tree and the little village under it.

Glad to see the girls on Survivor finally got some brains and got rid of one of the guys ... too bad it took so long. Can't wait for the finale on Sunday ... it just better not be that Jon is the winner cause it won't be a pretty sight in our house if it is.

Loved Trista and Ryan's wedding ... only hope it wasn't just for show!

Well back to work ..............

Ave,
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ to Mark & Mary.
Sorry to hear about your loss, but unfortunately this is part of the profession. Anja was lucky so far, she lost only 2 in 15 years, but I had fatalities well in the 2-digit-range when I worked in the emergency medical services. You always take some of it home with you, which was also a reason for me to change my profession after about 10 years on the ambulance.

Over here it's raining cats & dogs at 10ºC/50ºF :( and additionally a stormfront coming in. They already had to cancel a skijump-event because it was too dangerous.

Busy day! This is the 1st Sat. since our cruise I have NOT looked at the port camera to see the Magic. Lots of pre-Christmas cleaning, and a little Christmas shopping.

Thank you for the nice birthday wishes:)

Peter, sorry about the lay off. Is this an every year thing?

I was very happy with the outcome of the last "Survivor"! I'm not sure if it was because Sanda won, or because Jon didn't win.

Another week gone, and another week closer to our cruise.

Eric, thanks for posting the news. I had checked the board early Sunday morning, and after reading your post, turned on CNN just in time for the official announcment. :bounce:
