Hi Everyone:

Its been awhile since I posted. Alright I'm guilty of lurking. Slap me silly with a wet noodle...

Jeanne: I'm a little confused....are you twins with Jeanniec.I didnt catch on to that earlier. Just a little dense or confused..I dont know which.

Still cant wait to cruise and glad to see that are initial dinner plans are still in the go. Maryjo and her family posted an interest in joing the table if/when she books. When you want are reservation # to link dinner plans just let me know..

Its going to snow here big time so they say starting tomorrow with a second storm to follow on saturday. Cant wait. Too bad its not starting on Sunday-Monday so we can get out of work.

Ha-ha, OMG, NO, the two jean(ne)s are not twins........I was referring to Mary and Ave (who I thought were twins) both having the same difficulty in getting us mixed up! reminds me of that old Arnold S. /Danny DeVito movie!

Boy am I relieved..I know I read stuff and sometimes forget(a sign of future senility-definetely possibility) or it doesnt sink in or I that I just missed a post somewhere....

Cant wait 2 more weeks and then I have 4 days off from work...
couldnt come quick enough...

Arlene

I know the feeling......the older I get, the more I suffer from CRS!!!!

Jeanne -- Pretty clever about the "c" in my user name standing for Charlotte, altho I don't know if that will help anybody tell us apart since we are both from NC. If you are the pretty one, does that make me the smart one? Just kidding, of course! I believe I am the older twin for sure.

By the way, I, too, kind of wondered what attractions we have in NC. Biltmore Castle was a good answer. I wouldn't have thought of that even tho I've been there several times and it is fantastic. It's for sure there are no attractions in Charlotte. I think they are in the process of building a white-water mini-river or something for Olympic and other athletes to use for practice. I am really excited about that -- not. How long have you lived in NC? We moved here from Chicago 17 years ago. Never even heard of Charlotte until my brother got transferred here from NJ. Moved for the weather and the proximity to the mountains, ocean, Florida and WDW, of course!

Not sure if we are going to make it up to the mountains tomorrow for the wedding on Saturday. Called and they are shoveling wet, heavy snow. Ugh! The forecast for Saturday is high of 31, low of 29, snow showers and windy. Poor bride!

Jean (with one "n")

Hi Folks,
just back from checking the Antiguaorbust-mailbox - No new cruisers so far :( Perhaps we'll have the ship exclusively for our group pirate:
Yesterday we got a nice letter from Dreams Unlimited: They welcomed us back home and asked if we booked again while on board. They offered to transfer our booking to DU for a better price, but I think this time they can't beat the price we have to pay :teeth: :hyper:

I just started the planning for our first vacation in 2004 (The cruise and the 2 1/2 weeks in Dixie will be #3): We're going to London in April for a week to do a lot of sightseeing and -of course- shopping. I already checked out the London Zoo, the Science Museum and some other attractions. It's going to cost an arm and a leg, but IMHO London is the most fascinating city in Europe, if not in the world.

Eric, I got the same letter from DU. It was nice to see.Your vacations sound wonderful. Have you ever been to Barcelona? It's my favorite city (of my limited experience) in Europe.

We will be under 300 days very soon!

Weather in S.C. today was YUCKY! Cold and rainy all day

:( Oh well, I guess we have to have a few bad days:p As long as the "white stuff" stays north of SC I'm happy!

jeanneg...TwinAve and I are twins (identical)::yes:: I am the smart, pretty, nice twin!

Fiona...congrats on being an Aunt again! Keep us posted!

Survivor was pretty dull tonight. I think if I hear Jon swear on his grandmother's grave again I'll scream!

Sorry that we haven't posted lately, like everyone else we have been covered up with work.

Received the DU letter also, but I am going to manage my own ressie this time.

Have made several santa claus bibs for some of our babies and have one or two more to make.

I haven't missed an episode since my mother was a baby! Yesterday was such a crazy day and I was doing things in such a hurry (bad news for me), that the tape I inserted had only 20 minutes of playing time left. It cut off during the scene where the 3 members were getting their "reward". As of now, I still don't know who got the boot, but i'll read it online later. (My reward for getting my work done!) If you ask me, they blew it last week when they had the opportunity to vote off Jon or Burton and didn't take it. I'm still sad about losing Rupert!

They blew it big time on Survivor. Last night Christa was voted out. Not sure who I want to win as long as it isn't Jon. What a slime.

Have a great weekend everyone. Am leaving work early today!

Fiona

Weekend is here! Yipee! (of course I have to work Sat. and Sun, but still like the weekends) I just figured out that I will be getting 5, yes that's FIVE days off over the Christmas Holiday. I may just stay in my PJ's for a whole day.
Rellingtwin, Congrats to Regina! First chair is great! :smooth:
Another beautiful day in Florida.:sunny: OK, I had to wear a sweatshirt this morning, but no snowflakes in site.:teeth:
I am going to an employee Christmas party tonight.(job#2) But leaving DH home with the kids. Can't stay late, but it should be fun.

Hi to everyone!:wave2:

Hi Folks,
last week we had temps of up to 21ºC/70ºF in Bavaria, which is kind of a catastrophe for the all the skiing villages down there. No snow below 6000 feet, thousands of cancellations by disappointed tourists. The French are drowning in one of the worst floods ever, and on the Mediterranean islands them temps are in the 50ies, with sleet and rain - It's a crazy year, isn't it?
But our weathermen predict the first signs of winter for this weekend.
Right now it's Saturday and guess where I am? At the office
Funny coincidence: Jeff (Silentshot) got a new job and will work just one or two blocks away from me starting JAN 04. So we can meet during the lunchbreaks and talk about the good old times in the Carribean :hyper:

Hi everyone,
Just a quick note while I'm at work on a Saturday.
We are going to have another little girl from our DD. Her due date is 3/20/04, luckily we have tons of girl stuff already.
I just found the coolest remote controlled flying saucer for Josh.
Colleen thinks it's more for me ;)
Better get going, this isn't what they pay me to do.

Don:smooth:

Hi All:

Just dropping a note to say HI to everyone. It's so hard to get to the computer this time of year.

I'm trying to keep up with the posts, but it's getting hard. I am also going on a DCL cruise January 24, 2004, and have been trying to keep up with those posts also.

Last time I posted I was getting ready to go to NY for the Xmas Spectular. Had a great day, nice, sunny and warm (walked around with just a sweater). Went to the Toys R Us at Times Square, The Disney Store on Fifth Ave, FAO Schwartz, and Rockerfella Center. And also had a pretzel. Everything was wonderful and put me in the Xmas spirit.

Getting ready to go outside and dig out from about 7inches of snow, not to mention the 6 inches I shoveled yesterday. I HATE WINTER. Need to move to Flordia.

Well, just wanted to say hello to everyone and let you know that I still think about you all.

Sue

Sue,

I know how you feel, we got about 8 inches of snow, here in N.E. Ohio, yesterday.

Another business trip next week. Anyone know where Oil City Pa. is? I don't think the weather will be as nice as two weeks ago in Mexico.

Well, not much going on here today, maybe I'll be able to sneak out early and watch some football.

Don:smooth:

That'sokay Harry...We understand boys & their toys....

Violet :hyper:

well, we have about 8 inches of snow here in NJ, and it's still falling! I'm going to take Haley out in her sled for the first time tomorrow. We'll have to see how she likes or dislikes the snow.

Great news Don about the baby. Tell Colleen we said hi. Miss you guys. Is it October yet?????

Hi Everyone!:wave2:

Sue, no worries, we will be here to cheer you up when you get back from your 1/24 trip.
Don....Congrats on the baby! Aren't you and Colleen too young to be grandparents?
Eric, sounds as if Europe is having a seasonal dysfunction.
No snow in FL.....:sunny: :jester: :jester:
Sorry just can't help myself.
Renee, have fun in the snow with Haley.

Later,
Ave'
