What is a good price for a rental for a week? We are going to Universal/Seaworld in Aug, 23rd to the 29th.
I have looked, but not having had to rent a car when we went to Disney, I want to be sure I get a good price.
i have looked, with coupons I found a SUV Ford Escape type for around $260. (including taxes and fees). Anything else was higher price.
Is $260 a good price or a week, or should I keep looking for a lower price??

The $191.06 is the base rate the total including all taxes and fees is $257.36

Alamo and Dollar are about the same right now.

Your best bet would be to book the first thing you can live with, and then keep checking even several time a day if you can. You never know when the price may drop and then it might only drop for one day.

Checkout carentalsavers.com for discount codes for various rental companies.

I recently got a midsize thru Alamo for Memorial Day week for $74 incl taxes and fees. And when I went to pick out the car there were more Full Size, Full Size SUVs and Mini Vans in the aisle than there were midsize cars, so I wound up with a full size for the same price. I don't know if that will happen for Aug, I'm checking for the second week in Aug myself. So far the best I have is a full size for $236 incl taxes and fees but I did book it a long time ago. Some have said that all the discounted rates have been used up already, but I keep checking.

I was able to get 12 days 6/28 - 7/10 for $222 for an intermediate car (Pontiac G5 or similar)

This priced jumped up and down, right now the price for your dates is $260.

The good news about this site is, there is no pre-payment or deposit, re-book every time the price drops.

My price fluctuated from $222 to $354- Up, down, and the Middle

Thank you!! I just booked with Alamo for $204 for the week. I will keep checking to see if it gets lower!!

I just rebooked at $178.30 for a week rental of a Ford Escape type SUV!!

178 is a steal! You're only renting a car for transport from your hotel to the park. If you were going on a road trip for a couple of days to a park then you might want to pay more for bigger space but if you're just going from the airport to the park there's no reason to get a big car, ask for the smallest cheapest car you can get that can still fit you and your families :)

I agree completely. Our Grand Canyon trip we rented a mini van and found one with a TV screen.
Our last trip to Disney we only needed a car for 2 days so we rented a small car.
this trip we will be just fine in a ford escape type car for the week
