June 5-18 for $121 total midsize car with Hertz!!

We are spending 1 week at WDW and 1 week in HHI in June.

Will fly 1 way to MCO, pick up car, spend a week at AKL then drive to HHI for 2nd week and then drive to Charlotte for our flight home after returning the car at CLT.

We gave up our seats last week on Airtran and got 2 RT each so will be using vouchers for our air.

I'm glad they are starting to do that. Earlier this year we looked into driving to MCO ( from Birmingham, AL) and then flying home after vaction and we could only find one car rental place that would do one ways. I hope that more will start so that people who would like one ways can price shop.

Actually, many car rental agencies offer one-way specials to or from Florida... when it's convenient for THEM. It's fleet management. In the winter, they need a lot of vehicles in Florida. Spring/summer, they need a lot of those further north. Offering customers a special rate to drive the cars one way (depending on need) is a smarter fiscal decision than having employees do it.

I used Hertz and RQ is 1WAY

I just checked your reservation and it came back $104.96 for the compact and $145.82 for the midsize. The fullsize is $196.90

I'm looking at this as an alternate way home. Airfare is $131 (AT with layover-4hr50min-total flight time.) or $181 (SW nonstop 2hrs35min total flight time.) A 2 day rental, gas and hotel 1 night about $155. More $$ than AT, less $$ than SW but more *time* if I drive!
