1 Wait list came through and point redistributed

Member services has been great, helping plan a last minute (8 weeks out) trip. There were 9 of us...but then only 4. I hated using 160 points for our Friday/Saturday nights at AKV (we only get 200/year) so we WL for a one bedroom.

I called yesterday (to add ME/DDP) and they suggested changing the waitlist up a bit. When I logged in last night it had come through! One problem was the extra points were banked from 08 into 09 and will expire at the end of my use year. So I called this morning to try to cancel and rebook our other nights--anything to free up 2009 points that can be used for our 2010 vacation. She wasn't really sure what I was trying to do, I probably wasn't explaining it correctly. Anyway she said "Oh you want your points redistributed?" So that's what it's called!!

She fixed it easily and when I log in I can see all my remaining points are able to be banked for our vacation next summer.

Wow, this is really great to know! So you're saying that they were able to move your points around from UY to UY without messing with the reservation?

Yes, I'm not really sure how she did it, but it didn't require her to cancel or change anything on the reservations. It was very quick.
