1 Villa vs 3 Rooms

There will be 6 adults going in July of 09, would it be cheaper to get a villa or 3 rooms at a value resort??

If you can find someone to rent you DVC points at a good rate you're looking about about $250-350 a night for a 2 bedroom villa. (depending on time of year, price per point, which resort, etc) Also that would be Sunday through Thursday because Friday and Saturday nights are about double the price.

Three rooms at a value are probably going to run around $300-380 per night, maybe a little less if you've got a code rate in value season. So the prices are comparible. But I will point out that a 2 bedroom villa only gives you 2 bathrooms, when obviously 3 value resort rooms will give you 3 bathrooms. And the 2 bedroom villa also means 4 adults would share the room with 2 queens and the other 2 adults would take the king bed... or someone would take the pullout sleeper in the living room.

Take a look at the floorplans and pictures. That will help you decide which is best for your group. Have a great trip!!!

Thanks I'll take a look.... if the prices will be comparable it may be better to get 3 rooms. It's 6 women so bathroom space could be a big deal...LOL and I didn't think about all of us sharing beds...LOL considering I'm sure there are some snorers in the group that couls be funny as all get out.

A lot of this depends on whether or not you'll be staying at a value, mod or deluxe resort. If you're looking into a deluxe it will probably be less expensive to rent DVC points and stay in a 2 bdrm villa. Granted that will also mean 2 of the adults will have to sleep on a pull out.

The other thing you have to consider is what your budget is.

might go with DVC - just not the one you want.

go with 3 studios at OKW.

Now I do love Pop - but it has double beds.

OKW has queen beds

only do this if you are staying Sun-thurs (leaving on fri morning) - otherwise the points are too expensive.

now if someone (in each group) doesn't mind the sleeper sofa - then go with any of them.
