1 room assigned - 1 guarantee

We booked in October for the March 11th Wonder. I checked DCL website and there are no more staterooms available. When we booked I got one cty. 11 room assigned(6511) and 1 cty. 11 guarantee.
I saw that late February cruisers were getting there Docs and that some were being upgraded from assigned rooms. I thought this only would happen with guarantee rooms. What do you think the chances of this happening are? Funny thing is - I just want to be close to the guarantee stateroom my daughter and grandchildren are in - not neccessarily upgraded!!!
Also, because they are showing full on DCL do you think there is a chance we would receive docs 30 days out? The anticipation is definately building - can you tell it's our first cruise!

There is really no rhyme or reason as to DCL assigns upgrades. Some get it if they have a GTY stateroom booked, others if they have a specific stateroom booked. Some get them if they pay in full early, others get them if they don't pay in full until 60 days out.

As for docs...I think they generally come 4-6 weeks before your sailing date, no matter how full the ship is.

If you are linked to your daughter in your reservation-- for table assignment, If they upgrade one room they will upgrade the other too. Good Luck

One cabin booked as a GTY and one assigned is likely due to party size.

There are some cains that will sleep 4 and some that will only sleep a max of 3--they may have had a specific cabin for one party size available, but the other is subject to the luck of the draw. I would get DCL to note on the reservation for the GTY room that you really want to be located as close as possible to the other cabin. While there is no guarantee that they can do that, it certainly helps to have it listed on the reservation.
