We are visiting Orlando next May and will definitely be visiting UO and will stay at HRH for at least 1 night. My DH and I will be travelling with our 2 children for the first time (DS will be 4 years old and we will also have an 8mth old baby as well!!)

We are primarily doing everything for the 4yr old - so want to do the playareas in both parks, Shrek, Spiderman, Jimmy Neutron, ET, Jaws, MIB, Sueuss Landing rides, Barney show, Animal show - anything i've missed? Or shouldn't have included for my DS?

I am also thinking I want to brave the Mummy ride - although I don't like coasters and as I will be riding solo without my DH to protect me ;) - is that a bad idea????:scared1:

We also want to spend some time at the HRH pool as the hotel looks fab!!

First of all I was thinking we would get to HRH for about midday and spend the rest of the day by the pool and at City Walk, then get up early to do both IOA and US the following day with FOTL passes - but we will have to leave the parks by around 4pm as we are picking up villa keys. Would 3/4 of a day be enough time to do all the above with 2 small children and FOTL in May - or is that just too rushed????

Our other option is to arrive the day before and have an extra night (and therefore we can have one day at each park & extra pool time) - the only problem with this option is that we are visiting family and I'm worried it will be very rude to leave them so soon (especially as we only see them every 3 or 4 years)

Sorry to go on so long - your thoughts would be appreciated though!! :thumbsup2

Remember, this is supposed to be a vacation. Your family should understand that. 2 days would be the preferred route.

It would be too rushed...especially if you want to hit the "play areas"...kids can stay there forever. If you are staying one night, it entitles you to 2 days of FOTL access...I'd say go for the extra day and be sure to do/see all you really want to.

The Mummy is a fabulous ride so if you think you can handle the coaster part go for it! I don't ride the Incredible Hulk but I adore The Mummy.

I would personally go for two nights. Remember that simply moving will kill a big part of a day. You might also want some pool time.

You are going to like the HRH so much if you only book one night you will be kicking yourself the next day.

thanks alot for the advice - I guessed that would be the answer - I think I was just trying to squeeze too much in!! 2 nights at HRH it is - what a shame!!;) ;)
