1 night hotel only + 8 night package

Has anyone booked 1 night hotel only (at beginning or end of trip) to run in conjunction with their package? I'm thinking about adding 1 night hotel only to our 8 night package with tix & DDP in June. We will be arriving later in evening, so I don't want to add DDP with that night. I want to do this so that we will be in the same room and won't have to worry about moving once we're there. I know I'll have to re-check-in the morning of our original package. What are the chances of being able to keep the same room not have to pack up and move? WDW Travel said they couldn't guarantee it. Does anyone have any experience with this? Would it maybe be like having ME and moving between resorts where THEY would move our stuff? HELP!!!

I would be suprised if, when you arrive and talk to the front desk, that they couldnt keep you in the same room. The call office wont be able to help you, but I'd be very suprised if they couldnt keep you in the same room..

As long as you book the same room category for your 1 night stay as your package, I'm pretty sure they'll allow you to stay in the same room for the remainder of your stay...

Have done this twice and never even asked to change rooms, once before the package began and once after the package ended. Just let the front desk know when you check in and they will tell you what to do. I just had to come back and check back into my room and get new room keys.

We are doing exactly that. We have a room only booked for the 17th and our package for 9 nights starts on the 18th. They said they can't guarantee that we won't have to move but she connected, linked, cross linked etc the room only rooms with the package rooms (we have 2 rooms booked).

One you make the second reservation have reservations note in the record that you have a continuing stay.

That way more than likely you will stay in the same room.
