We are staying 1 night at BWV and hitting MK the next day. What is your advice for parking? Should we:

- leave the car at BWV and take the bus to MK. Is there a location in BWK where our car won't be in the way sitting all day when we have already checked out of the room?

- take the car to MK. Do we get free parking at MK for staying the previous night at BWV?

Thanks

Yes, your parking privileges will be valid for your MK day. I would probably drive my car to the MK parking lot rather than leave it at BWV. It's up to you.

Thanks Bobbi. That is what I was thinking too. When we leave MK we don't have to ride the bus back to BWV. Just hit the road.

When you park your car in the lot at BWV it will not be in the way on your check out day (or you can use valet for free with DVC card).
Just one thing to consider is that when driving and parking at MK you have to come and leave via the TTC and take either the monorail or the ferry over to MK - the bus from BWV will take you directly to the MK entrance. We usually leave our bags and belongings with the bell stand at BWV so they aren't sitting in the car or in the FL heat, take the bus back to BWV after our day at the park, pick up our bags and go - only extra expense is a tip and it is worth that to us not to risk leaving all our stuff in the car.

For MK I would most likely take the car to the MK parking, and yes you get free parking for that day.

Six of one, half a dozen of another?

As someone pointed out, when driving to the MK you will have to park at the TTC. So when you go to the MK you'll have to drive, park, get to the monorail or ferry, and get across to the MK. You may end up getting to the MK quicker if you take the bus from the BW and get dropped off at the front of the park. Of course, as with all bus trips, that will depend on how long you have to wait for a bus.

Leaving the park, if parked in the TTC, you'll still have to get back to your car, and that takes some time, especially if leaving with the throngs after the parade or fireworks. It may take a little less time than it would take to get back to the BW via the bus (then again, maybe not), but how much less?

All things considered, getting from the BW and back to your car at the end of the day, the difference in time might not be that much. Given that, I'd probably opt for the bus form the BW to the MK and back at the end of the day thing. Slightly less hassle than parking at the MK and dealing with the TTC.

Personally, I usually plan a meal at the GF during the day and use my Tables in Wonderland for free valet when I have to park for the MK.

I'm sorry but I'm unfamilar with the term TTC. I assume it is some form of transportation system within WDW. Is there an thread that offers more of an explaination of the TTC? The only way into MK is via mono or ferry?

TTC is the Transportation and Ticket Center. A transportation hub across Seven Seas Lagoon from the MK. When parking at the MK you will be in the main MK lot, from which you will walk or take the tram (the parking lot is big) to the Transportation and Ticket Center. For those who need park tickets, they can be purchased here. From the TTC you can either take the monorail to the MK park, or take a ferry boat. Yes, other than taking a WDW bus (such as from the BW resort), which drops you near the front of the park, the only way to the MK is via monorail or ferry. Unless you are at the Contemporary, from which you can walk to the MK if you like.

You can also catch the monorail to Epcot from the TTC.
