Hello,
We will be there in 1 week! A little info about my family and I. This is our 2nd go around at WDW. We went there about a year ago for 3 days. Two days at MK and one day at HS. We will fly in from AZ on 03/15 at Coronado Springs and return home on 03/23. Family of 4. Son-13 and daughter-6. Both are night owls and we are a pretty active family. Also purchased the dining plan. All dining plans have reservation. Yak and Yeti??? Should I change it? I'm not 100% sold if I should pick it. Also what are your best recommendation for snack and quick service meals??

Every night we plan on leaving after shows like wishes, fantasmic, star tours and Illuminations.

Yum, Boma! Always a favorite of ours, in fact we make it a point to dine there whether we otherwise go to WDW or not. We have never tried Yak and Yeti so can't comment on that one.

As for quick serve, I recommend Columbia Harbour House in MK but do get there early if you go because it can get very busy. Sit upstairs to really relax.

Do you plan to see the Lion King show at AK? It's really good and we never miss it. Also walk the Maharajah Jungle Trek to see some nice animals and theming. You have an early dinner but you could drop by the Harambe Marketplace for a light lunch if the menu appeals.

Wow, only a week. I'm excited for you!

Are you sure you want to do Boma on a MK day-- a lot of travel time to and from. I'd try Boma on AK day-- just makes more sense logistically. Alternatively, maybe try it in your arrival night and just have two CS that day in MK or do late dinner at Pepper after returning from MK. Never tried Yak, so I can't say.

Flame Tree is probably the best CS in all of WDW. Good BBQ. Sunshine Seasons at Epcot is pretty unique. Agree with PP about Columbia Harbor House.

Try a Dole Whip in MK. Yum!

You don't really need FP for Imagination, but I get that the choices in Epcot are limited.

Have a great time!

If you can show up a few minutes early for your CRT dinner, that will help with the timing so you won't miss your Wishes FP return time.

Last week, we checked in 20-30 minutes before each of our ADRs and were seated immediately.

Any Star Wars fans? The star wars fireworks cannot be missed if so. I didn't see them in your plans.

We're not Star Wars fans and we haven't watched any of the movies. I actually have all of them. Maybe it would be a good idea to watch them this week. But I've heard the fireworks are not to miss. Based on previous threads it sounds like I'll have enough time to walk over to the fireworks after fantasmic ends.

Also as long as 1 person from my party shows up for TS then I don't have to pay for cancellation fee
Right? I ask Because I'm thinking my wife may not want to eat after snacking all day.

As long as one person shows, there is not a fee.

Also, as long as you call and Cancel ahead of time, you won't be charged a No Show fee. On our recent trip, I called to cancel 3 hours before our ADR because my friend was ill. A CM canceled and there was no fee.

For March 16, the CRT Dinner and Wishes FP time are very tight. At CRT, you need to wait to take pic with Cinderella, wait for a table, and wait for food etc. It is easy to run late. You might want to arrive CRT earlier (say 8pm) to see if you get a table earlier.

For March 21 BOG 8:05am Breakfast, they have recently opened up BOG bookings for 7:30am and 7:45am. So, I am not sure 8:05am is anything early anymore. You may look into it, and see if you want to move the ADR earlier. Speculation is that park hour would move to 8am, but no one knows yet.

If unsure about Yak and Yeti, I would suggest to do Tusker House dinner instead. More choices of food and you get to see characters also. 1 Table Service Credit. It just can't go too wrong.

Thanks so much for the heads up minnie222. I just checked and saw a 7:35 time. I just cancelled 8:05 and reserved the earlier one. Right now park hours show a 9am open time. Does anyone think it will be moved up to 8am??

I'm definitely going to be going early to CRT in hopes of getting seated earlier. I keep checking for an earlier dinner time. Maybe a day before or day of there's an opening.

Updated my plans*** Moved Fantasmic times, included Star Wars fireworks, changed a few restaurant times including Boma. Removed Yak and Yeti. Added San Angel and La Hacienda. We really want to eat at those restaurants.

I know this question shows how out of the loop I am. :confused3 Is the star wars show in the same ampitheatre as fantasmic, and if so, can you just stay seated after fantasmic to watch it?

Nope. You have to go towards the entrance of the park from what I've read.
The fireworks are shot off from behind the Chinese Theater.

Hollywood Blvd. and the Echo Lake areas are the best viewing spots.
