With the dollar coming back up decided to take a punt and paid for the DL, WDW and DCL portion of out trip. So that means all the disney portions are locked in and fully paid.

Only have a few more things to arrange

1. DL dining
2. Activities on the cruise such as brunch at Palo's
3. Transfers
4. Tickets to a Yankees game. The boys are off for the night to watch a game whilst in NY.
5. KSC tickets, still not available for October as yet.

I have never seen the dollar bounce around so much. One day its up 2 cents the next its down 3 cents. As you say PrincessinOz we have paid off the diseny portion of the trip.

Today is a special day for our DD's as it is the day our countdown chain starts. 72 days until we leave so the girls get to remove one link after dinner each night until the last day.

I managed to book a van last week to fit the 8 of us so we can go from the cruise out to KSC for the day before we had back to the Portofino for the rest of our trip. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be trying to find a ca rhire place with locations close to DCL and US. When I did their system went down for 2 days. Anyway finally booked it with Hertz, which will make the drop off really easy.

Also booked a few things on the cruise as well. A brunch at Palo's on the 4th day at sea. Also booked activities for Nasau and Castaway Cay. At Nassau we are doing the Atlantis beach day and on Castaway Cay booked the extreme activites. So we do snorkling, stingrays and bike ride.

In a few weeks I can book our DL ADR's and then all that is left is our transfers and some baseball tickets. The boys are having a night out to see the Yankees whilst we are in NY.

Which game are you thinking about going to? We are either going to 24,25 or 26 Sept. I think the last game would be awesome if it was a decider, however if it isn't a decider then they probably won't play their best players. Decisions decisions.

We are looking to go on the 20 Sept Yankees are playing Tamp Bay.

I was looking at a number of sites. Stubhub gave us a better choise of tickets so I have booked 2 tickets just next to the vistors dugout.

Is time starting to slow or is it just me????

Yankees tickets arrived this week. Section 130 row 5.

Can not wait to experience the atmosphere and see Yankee Stadium live.

Yes time is now slowing down for us as well......63days seems so far away, but then again when I say it I still get butterflies in my tummy! I think I am more excited than the kids sometimes lol!

Less than a month now and everything is finally booked.

ADR's at both DL and WDW are booked. DCL, DL and WDW packages all paid in full, just have to pay for NY and Portofino at US.

Transfers all booked. Additional tickets and activities booked.

We have changed all our money got a great rate so can not complain about that. In the end we got a Travellex Cash Passport which can be used as a debit card or at ATM's to withdraw cash. Can even top it up on the Internet.

Our 2 DD's are really starting to get excited as our coutndown chain has really shrunk. From its original 72 links down to under 30.

The only thing I have to arrange is how we get to the airport. Usually we would pack up the 4WD and DFIL would drive us to the airport. But working for an environmental company felt compelled to sell the 4WD and replace it with a hybrid. So now us, the backage and DFIL won't fit. May have to book a limo to the airport, kids would love it.

Just got our disney DVD's from amazon.com. We can sit down this weekend and watch them to add to the excitement.

Dizoz, we are only a month away today as well!!!!! So exciting. Though you are going six days before us. The days are going slow now, although I seem to keep busy getting little things here and there that we will need. I ordered our DVDs on the 11th August and paid for the faster shipping. Not the top level just the middle level shipping but still not here. Maybe today although they did say not to expect it until the 3rd sept? Which seems very far away atm!

You have a fantastic trip planned! How Exciting. We too stayed at GCH in December for two weeks and it is just amazing. We had a theme park view in the new wing (the DVC wing) and it was just fantastic. Love that hotel!

This trip we are in NY from 14th to 21st Sept (we fly to Orlando on the same day as you), we are on the AA morning flight (I think it's 9am) and funny, we were flying home on the 12th Oct and were on the AA flight from MCO to LAX, so we would have been on the same plane, but we changed our return date to the 13th, same flights but a day later.

You have such a great trip planned, your family is going to have a ball

We are certainly looking forward to it. We tried to change of NY to MCO flight but was going to cost US$800 to change here in Australia. So we willt ry to chnage it once we get to the US. Our friends we are meeting up with in NY are flying down on your flight and will be coming back on the same flight as you.

Certainly is a small world after all.

How was the park view from your room at GCH? Is it worth upgrading???
