1 day w/4&5 yos help me o wise ones!

1. Which parks (relative to my kids ages/DH says NO Seaworld )
2. Tickets (how, where, when?)
3. Cool resturants (looking for neat atmosphere)
4. Touring advice (basics please)
5. Transportation from BWV
6. Anything else I may have missed.

Hello there! Well first of all, you are going to have a wonderful time. I would try to go to both parks. They sell a one day two park ticket at the gates for $69. At IOA, your kids would probably really enjoy Seuss Landing. My 3 year old son loves it there! At the Studios, they would probably enjoy Jimmy Neutron, Shrek, Curious George, Feivel's playland and so much more. At IOA Mythos is the best restaurant, but not sure if the kids will really like it although they have a kids' menu. I would go to Margaritaville at Citywalk or Motown Cafe or Hard Rock Cafe. All have great atmosphere.

Touring: Go to main attractions first: Spiderman, Shrek, Jimmy Neutron and get express passes for the rest. You can also buy an express pass ($25 per person) but it includes front of the line access on all attractions one time. Great investment!

Best transportation would be a taxi. It will be more expensive, but it will be all about you.

I have a 3 year old and a 5 year old (the 3 year old will be turning 4 during our trip in April!!).
There are things in both parks that they both really love so we go to both parks when we're there.
At US they like Curious George, Fievel's playland, Woody Woodpecker coaster, E.T. My 3 year old was terrified by the Terminator show, but my 5 year old loved it. Neither really cared for Shrek 4D.
At IOA they like Suess Landing and the Superhero area, Flying Unicorn.
Don't miss The Mystic Fountain in the Lost Continent. It's a talking fountain. My boys talked to the fountain for almost an hour. They had us laughing so hard and drew quite a crowd!!

As to restaurants, they might like Circus McGircus in the Seuss area, it's like eating in a circus tent. The Enchanted Oak is really neat (it is the inside of a giant tree) and in Thundering Falls Terrace they can watch the drop on Jurassic Park River Adventure. Mythos is very nice too but might be wasted on them. These are all at IOA.

DS loved both parks - we spent two days in each. For IOA the biggest hit was Seuss Landing. DS rode the Cat in the Hat ride 10 times (lines were non-existant). He also loved meeting the Superheros, riding the Flying Unicorn rollercoaster, seeing the dinosaurs at the Jurasic Park Discovery center (he got to see a baby raptor hatch and then named her), and playing on Popeyes boat.

For US he loved Shrek (saw it 4 times - but didnt wear the glasses and sat on my lap so he missed the spiders) and playing in Fifels playland and the Curious George play area - he spent half his time there. He also liked the Barney show / play area (although he isnt really big on Barney normally), ET, Jaws (he thought he was Bruce from Finding Nemo so it wasnt so scary for him) and the Woody woodpecker coaster.

I really thought DS had more fun here than he did at WDW. If you can spend more than 1 day I would do it. If you need to pick one park only I would lean towards IOA although there are great things at both parks.

We got 5 day 2 park tickets on line at the Universal website for $89 each. If you are going to spend more than one day there it is a good deal.
