1 day, park to park touring plan

HI - this will be our first visit to Universal and we only have 1 day. I plan on buying park to park tickets and have been looking on line for a good 1 day, 2 park touring plan with not much luck...anyone have one they wish to share? We are going the last week in September and will not be staying on site. We are NOT doing the Halloween nights. Main focus would be all things HP, some of the major rides and if we see any shows - I think the Horror make up show is at the top of our list. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a specific goal in mind with regards to all things Potter? There are a number of possibities such as follow Harry's journey or do you just want to spend most of your time in Hogsmeade and Diagonal Alley?

Go on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday as Hhn will not be held those days

Less crowds and better park hours for the studios

That's a tough time of year to figure around with HHN and the staggering opening times. If you go with Macravan's suggestion of Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, I would start a USF. I would immediately hit Despicable Me if it's on your list. It can be the worst line in the park. From there you have a choice. I normally power ride my way back to Diagon Alley. Hit HRRR, Revenge of the Mummy, Transformers, and Men In Black as you take the long way around to Diagon Alley. Head into Diagon Alley and ride Gringotts (If the lines long use single rider). Walk around a little bit and see either Celestina Warback or Tales of Beetle of Bard before hopping the Hogwarts Express over to IOA. Ride Dragon Challenge and Forbidden Journey. With any luck it will be just about time to backtrack a little bit to 3 Broomsticks for a late lunch. Make a loop around IOA (direction doesn't matter) hitting what rides you want. Reride Forbidden Journey (single rider) and the other side of Dragon Challenge (if there's time) before riding the Hogwarts Express back to London (USF). Depending on time hit E.T., Monster Makeup show, T2 etc. until dusk. Return to Diagon Alley to enjoy it at night. Eat Dinner at Leaky Couldron (or if time is tight wait and eat dinner in city walk). Ride Gringotts a second time. Wait in the queue if you skipped it in the morning. Both Forbidden Journey and Gringotts are worth waiting in line for at least once. Although Forbidden Journey often has a "Castle Tour" through most of the queue.

If HHN is going on, things get tougher because of the USF will close early. I would probably do everything is USF I wanted to do, Ride Hogwarts Express 3 times quickly then do IOA.

i have never been so am not 100% sure. I have 2 boys (11 & 13) and am not too sure about them sitting for any shows, except the monster make up one. What would you recommend? How much can we really expect to accomplish?

Animal actors show is cute and not boring

It is a show for all ages and only lasts about 20 minutes

The street show of the blues brothers is held next to finnegans restaurant on the side street

It is lively and audience is encouraged to join in when the blues brothers dance on the street
Kind of like following a Congo line

At ioa the marvel characters ride in on ATv's and do meet and greets
Take all the pics you wish for your super heroes
