We're going to Disney for my 50th this summer; we're planning on the last week in August (birthday's in July but chose August hoping crowds would be a little less). I love Harry Potter so I'm insisting we go to Universal to see that. Can both parts be done in one day in August or do we need two days? I'm looking at a package through the Universal site that has an offsite hotel (HI Inn and Suites) and includes early hour.

Two days would be ideal.. I think one is cutting it close. You want to be able to take it all in... HP is so magical

Thanks! I was leaning towards 2 days; just needed the confirmation it was the right choice :) We haven't gone to the parks in about 14 years and I'm so excited to go back!

in past years, the very end of august is not bad for crowds.
parks could close earlier though

if you are a potter fan, two days would be great for the trip.
so much to see in both sections and you would be able to take your time to explore everything in both potter sections at the parks.

you would want to time your potter time in order to take in the live shows that are done during the day.
